"The Aogiri have been dormant for too long now, The CCG is expecting an attack soon."

Yukino could hear from the speakers of the small T.V. set in the breakroom. A moment ago, her senpai who worked with her also had warned her not to stay too long outside at night. But the clock already stated it was half past 10, so what if she stayed a few minutes longer to complete the paperwork?
She was working overtime to avoid coming for a week to prepare properly for the exams that were fast approaching. But this was tiring. Paperwork.
Oh how she hated it!
Her days had been monotonous. Dragging everyday and nights of repeating nightmares. Her eyes sported dark circles and her otherwise bright, active demenour seemed to be dull and drooped. Concerned people questioned her but she would tell them, she was just the tiniest bit ill. That she'd be fine but she was getting weaker and weaker by each passing day.
Her body has been rejecting much of what she ate, except meat but it nauseated her to stuff herself with it just to conntinue on living. The last person in the office waved her goodbye and she herself decided to pack up to leave for home.

'10:30'
It said as she locked up and left for home. It was like any other night and didn't promise any surprises which disappointed the bored girl a little. The streets were scarcely but filled with people since Christmas was just around the corner and they were already celebrating the boost economy would get. She sighed into her muffler to protect herself from the cold, deciding on a doctor to visit but couldn't come up with one since she had never been much sick. 'I'd have to consult someone." She thought to herself before a flicker of blue caught her eyes. The unanswered question of identity flashed infront of her eyes.
"It's them!"
And even though, her quivering legs barely supported her weight, she ran in the direction of the blue, though she was much too slow and exhausted to catch on it.
"Shit!"
She heard them say and she boosted herself to be faster, ignoring the pain it inflicted on her body to grab at the person's jacket making them both tumble down.
Dark spots hindered her vision and she felt into a black abyss, after exhausting all energy she could muster.

Ayato watched her limp figure on him with stunned eyes. Her flesh was an unhealthy pale and the weak eye makeup didn't fool anyone of those dark circles. She also seemed to have lost weight.
What happened in the duration of days he didn't keep watch on her?
The Aogiri were planning their latest raid and as much as he would've been liked to entertained by this 'less than human' woman, he couldn't.
And now, she lay in front of him in such grim condition. He was torn between whether to leave her here or take her with him, cutting the chase short. So. He decided.
Throwing the body over his shoulder, he decided to get her investigated by a proper medical examiner of the Aogiri. Tatara would certainly be pleased and they could easily manipulate this woman to do their bidding.
Or blackmail her.
Didn't she have a mother living in Osaka?
He felt her hand grab his jacket tightly and he thought she was just having one of those nightmares but suddenly monsterous strength had flipped him off.
Though he easily landed on his feet again.
"Get away from me!" She snarled in an offensive pose and he stared at her in surprise before his lips stretched in a smirk.

Fire flashed.
Red swirled.
Black met Black.

And the dual began.
One which Ayato was sure he wouldn't loose.
