**This chapter does a little time skip, so just be aware that FT has been fighting for a while now. I didn't see the point in writing out the whole battle because it wasn't that important.**

Enjoy!

"Where were you when our hearts were bleeding?

Where were you? It all crashed down

Never thought that you'd deceive me

Where are you now?"

-Inside Trinity's Guild Hall-

Juvia shivered after she opened the door leading to the cellar. The basement looked like something out of a horror movie; one small light swung from the ceiling that only illuminated the space of the floor, creaky wooden steps, a pitch black hallway, and bloodstained walls. She was reluctant to move further into the damp room, the ominous scenery making her feel more nervous than it should, but took a deep breath and walked into the darkness anyways. "Everyone is depending on Juvia to save Lisanna-san. Juvia can't let them down!"

Slowly she walked down the steps and descended deeper into the cellar; careful not to move too fast in case she missed a step and risked falling . They creaked every time she put her foot down, and Juvia grew worried that someone might hear her due to the noise. She knew that there wasn't supposed to be anyone inside the guild because they were all battling outside, but who was to say that Trinity didn't have someone waiting in the darkness? It would be the perfect plan if they did! Juvia could barely see her hands, so anyone could send an attack her way and she would be almost completely helpless.

The water woman froze and went on high alert when she heard something; her body falling still as she stopped breathing and zeroed in on her surroundings. Juvia relaxed slightly when she identified the noise as whimpering from up ahead, but picked up the pace in concern for what caused the sound in the first place. The closer she got to the noise the cooler the air seemed to grow causing the bluenette to wrap her arms around herself. "L-Lisanna-san?" The girl whispered. "Lisanna-san is that you? Juvia is here to help you. Where are you?"

"J-Juvia? Is that you?" A lighter voice responded causing her to grin.

"Yes, this is Juvia. Lisanna-san where are you? Are you alright?" Juvia questioned as she heard the whimper again. "Are you injured?"

Lisanna shivered slightly and shook her head even though she knew the water woman wouldn't be able to see the action. "No, I'm fine. That's not me making that sound." She answered.

Juvia's heart jumped and she quickly added: "I-Is it Lucy-san then?"

For a moment, silence settled upon the basement so that you could only hear the two girls breathing, and the bluenette felt her stomach drop again. She knew the answer to her own question before Lisanna even responded. "No. I don't even think that she's down here."

"But if it's not you making that noise, then who?" Juvia squinted as her eyes started adjusting to the darkness and gasped when she saw Lisanna crouched by a shaking figure on the ground. She quickly ran forward but was cut off by several metal bars that prevented her from moving any further. "Lisanna-san, Juvia cannot come near you. There's a wall in Juvia's way."

"I know." She smiled sadly. "Listen, Juvia, there's something you need to know. It's about Lucy." The white haired girl slowly reached behind her and grabbed something that made the water woman freeze and stand still. There was, in her hands, Lucy's Gate Keys, marred with dirt and covered in dried blood. "I'm assuming that you were asking about her because you sensed her magic in here, but the thing is," She choked, "I don't think that Lucy's even with us anymore. I hate to say it, but I think that Lucy is-"

Both girls screamed when the shaking figure suddenly gasped, his hands quickly darting out to grab Lucy's gate keys as he snatched it out of the girls hand. "Lisanna-san are you alright?! Juvia will try to get in there as fast as Juvia can!"

"L-Lucy... H-Heartfilia..." The man gurgled. "...is... n-not... who... s-she... seems."

"Huh? W-what do you mean?"

"Requip: Heavens Wheel Armor!"

"Ice-Make: Ice Cannon!"

"Fire Dragon Roar!"

Alex jumped back and extended one hand in front of her with her palm open toward the sky. "Open Cluster." Beams of gold shot down from the heavens to form a giant shield around the girls body that protected her from the Faries attacks. It surrounded her body completely before hardening into a crystallized gold gem. Natsu's fire went straight around the shield without difficulty, and Gray's ice shattered into thousands of pieces when it got near the gem's golden light. With high hopes, that brute strength would crack her shield, Erza took to the skies and used her 'Circle Sword' spell to countlessly hit her defenses. Much to Titania's surprise and her team's horror, though, when her swords touched the shield they broke in half; not having done any damage to it in the first place. The golden gem disappeared in a flash of bright light leaving Alex to stand in the center of the field, completely unscathed.

"She used a different magic that time," Erza stated while she tried to catch her breath. "When we attack individually she uses a wall of water to block out attacks only to retaliate afterward with a weak attack. But that time the magic she used was different." She said to herself. "Tell me, did you change magic because we all attacked together? Can your water not protect you against multiple spells? Or is it because the strength of our combined spells was too much for you to handle?"

A small smirk began to tug at the girl's lips and Team Natsu's eyes widened when she suddenly started laughing. "Oh, that's rich!" She giggled, her shoulders shaking. "You know, for someone that's held on such a high pedestal by everyone in the magic world, you're pretty stupid. Too much for my water to handle? Unable to stand against multiple attacks? Let me ask you something Erza: if I couldn't handle being attacked by several people at once why would I be rated S-Class? Or better yet, if you know that the magic I've been using is just an enchantment, why do you assume that I would go out of my way to learn powerful attacks when I can win battles without them? Let's go over what's happened so far, shall we? Maybe that'll give you the answer you're looking for!"

Natsu coughed up a mouthful of blood when Alex punched him in the chest and Gray yelled in shock when one of Erza's swords ricocheted backward and hit him in the head, while the redhead gagged when Alex grabbed her by her shoulders and suddenly kneed her in the chest, causing her to drop to her knees.

"Since the start of this fight I haven't done anything but play defense. I've blocked your attacks with a basic wall of magic, and when I did attack I fought back with a small spell. Why would I be doing that? Why would I purposely allow you to think that by attacking all at once you'd have a chance?" Erza snarled and lunged to grab the girl only to cry out in pain when her foot roughly met with her face. "It's funny isn't it? You continue talking about how much you want to save your friend yet you're not even taking this battle seriously. Why would I use the full extent of my magic against someone who won't even make things a little bit interesting for me?"

"This isn't a game!" Erza screamed. "There's nothing funny about this!"

Alex clicked her tongue and tauntingly shook her head. "That's where you're wrong Titania. This is nothing more than an amusing joke to me. You're sitting there spewing lies about someone you knew nothing about. You have no right to say Lucy's name. Who do you think you are, parading around like you're suddenly her friend? You're nothing more than a fake. Stop joking around and admit that you hated Lucy until the very end!"

"No, that's where you're wrong," Erza panted as she rose from the ground. Using the back of her hand she wiped a string of blood away from her mouth and squinted at the black haired girl as she said, "I never hated her. The things I said about Lucy were terrible, and I want nothing more than the chance to finally apologize to her. I knew that she was in so much pain when she was still in the guild but I decided to ignore her anyway. So you're right, I can't go around acting like I'm her friend. But don't ever say that I hated Lucy because I never did!" A bright light engulfed the redhead as she requiped into her Clear Heart Armor* and a determined glint came to her eyes as she pointed her katana at Alex's throat. "So let me ask you something since I've been so considerate of all of your questions. Who are you and why do you sound so familiar to me? You talk about Lucy like you knew her well, which means that you might know where she is! Where are you hiding her?!"

The girls hands curled up into tight fists as Erza shot forward, Natsu and Gray not too far behind, and clenched her teeth. "How many times do I have to tell you not to say that name?!"

-Meanwhile : Beneath Trinity's Guild-

Juvia shook her head in disbelief. "There's no way Love Rival would do something like that! Juvia... Juvia doesn't believe what the man said!" She exclaimed. "Lucy-san is the guild's friend! She wouldn't betray everyone like that!"

"It's true..." Arlen wheezed. "She didn't think that... she had a choice... Hana tricked her into believing... that she would be arrested... by the police... for accidentally hitting me... with her magic!" He explained, his weak lung making it difficult to speak. "She made Lucy believe... that I was dead... but all this time... I've been down here..." He said before taking a deep breath. "Hana got rid of everyone else in the guild... and honed Lucy's hatred toward Fairy Tail... all this time, she's been playing with her emotions... to make sure that she stayed by her side."

Using her water magic, Juvia began to attack the cell Lisanna and Trinity's Guild Master were held in. "Even so," The rusted door fell to the ground with a thud and the bluenette offered the two her hand. "None of this is Lucy-san's fault. We have to get back out there and explain what's going on before it's too late! What your saying might be true, but that doesn't mean it's all Love Rival's fault! We can still save her and make everything right again!"

"It's not possible!" The man yelled. "She's already too far in... Even if you were to clear Lucy's head... And gain her forgiveness... She's already committed too many crimes... The Council will still lock her up either way! It's pointless..."

Juvia clenched her fists and shook her head. "I remember the first time that Lucy-san said Juvia was her friend. She saved Juvia so many times, so now it's Juvia's turn to return the favor! That's what it means to be a Fairy Tail wizard. We make the impossible, possible! And no matter what, Juvia is going to save her friend!"

-Back Outside-

"Parallax." Alex swiped her middle and index finger through the air causing Natsu to switch places with her and get the brute end of Erza's strength. Separating her hands so that both of her palms faced each other, a small golden sphere of magic started to take shape in the air between her fingers. "Supernova." In the blink of an eye, the gold ball of magic turned into a mixture of blues, oranges, purples, and greens, before shooting into the sky. It expanded into a cyclone ten times its original size and shot out tiny multi-colored specks that fell to the ground. All the Fairy Tail wizards screamed when they suddenly started to explode, sending people flying left and right, while others avoided its destruction merely by chance.

"Ice-Make: Hammer!"

"Solar Winds."

The spell that resembled Juvia's water slicer technique shot out blades of scorched wind that not only cut Gray's ice creation into pieces but melted it at the same time. "Cosmic Ray." Alex tilted her hands until both of her wrists her touching and slightly bent her fingers. A beam of golden magic shot out of her hands that followed the path she made with her arms and went straight toward Team Natsu.

"Requip: Adamantine Armor!"

Natsu and Gray ducked behind the redhead as she used her giant shield to block the attack; all four wizards panting from using such large amounts of magic. Alex wrapped her arm around her waist to try and stop the bleeding from one of her wounds caused by Erza's sword, and everyone else seemed to pause as to look over their own wounds as well.

"She's certainly not going down easy." Natsu coughed; wincing as he put too much pressure on his injured foot. Alex managed to snag him by the leg and got this black mist to crawl up his foot. He managed to scramble away in time, but not before the smoke could do damage to his limb. It felt like something had crushed it even though there was only the air in the surrounding area when the damage was caused.

Gray chuckled tiredly as he used his ice to freeze a wound on his shoulder; effectively stopping it from bleeding. After using a wind spell to blow away some of Erza's swords, the same way she had when getting rid of his Molder Magic, one of her weapons went flying through the air and managed to snag him by his shoulder. "True. But it wouldn't be interesting if she did, now would it?"

As the two male members of her team talked, Erza couldn't help but frown as she surveyed over their current state. Not only were low on magic, practically out of it, in fact, their wounds were serious ones. Natsu couldn't walk properly on his injured foot and wouldn't be able to dodge all of Alex's attacks if she allowed him to continue fighting, while Gray had lost a significant amount of blood from his wound and looked like he was about to pass out. The only reason she was in a better state than the two of them was because of her various sets of armors that allowed her to properly react to Alex's attacks. Her spells were well thought out and difficult to defend against. This battle just wasn't looking to be in Fairy Tail's favor.

"Freed and his team seem to have had some luck, though; look," Natsu exclaimed as he pointed at the group on the other side of the field. They had Nina knocked out cold and tied up with a special magic nullifying rope that the Council gave them. "That just means that there's two to go!"

"Yeah, and Hana doesn't look like she's in the best shape either. My guess is that Mira will take her out within the next minute." Gray nodded his head.

Erza suddenly released the set of defensive armor and stood in her normal clothes, causing her team to look at her in confusion. When they glanced past her they saw that Alex dropped down to one of her knees and had wrapped both of her arms around her waist; a pool of blood forming at her feet as it gushed out of the wound on her side. "I'll ask you one more time. What have you done with my friend? Where are you hiding Lucy?"

The black haired girl gasped and slowly rose to her feet as she shook her head. "I hate you, Erza Scarlet." Alex flinched as she violently coughed up a mouthful of blood, staining her chin a dark red. "I wish that I never met you in the first place. I wish that I never looked up to you." Her body swayed slightly as she extended her right arm toward the heavens, palm facing the sky, and her left arm down, palm facing the ground. She made the outline of a circle with her hands before her arms had switched places; left arm to the sky and right arm facing the ground. Bringing the limbs together she placed her hands on top of each other so her fingertips touched the opposite wrist. "You really are a bad friend." Closing her eyes, Alex started saying an incantation in a different language under her breath.

"Erza-san!" Juvia screamed as she and Lisanna emerged from the guild, both of them carrying Arlen's giant form with difficulty. "Don't hurt her!" Black clouds started to form in the sky that blocked out all forms of light, and the ground started to shake as Alex got closer to the end of her spell. "Because that person is...!" Juvia's voice was cut off when a loud crack of thunder echoed throughout the field. A bright red moon appeared in the center of the sky and it's light descended onto the ground when the girl separated her hands.

"Lucy!"

"You figured it out too late! Galilean Moon!

The red light narrowed in on Erza's body and everyone screamed when it caused a large explosion. The earth began to shake when it went off and chunks of the ground went flying in every direction; a big cloud of dirt and dust settling in the air, obscuring everyone's vision.

"Now it all makes sense. I know why you seemed so familiar to me!" Titania emerged from the cloud of smoke wearing the Robe of Yuen and swiped at Lucy with her Bisentō. She sucked in a breath when Erza pressed the blade against her throat before making a low sound that resembled a growl. "What the hell are you doing Lucy?! Why would you join a dark guild?!"

Erza gasped when Hana suddenly came up behind her and grabbed a handful of her hair. She quickly wrote an enchantment that made her unable to move or use magic and turned to face Lucy's frozen form. "You know, it's really a shame that you had to go and expose her secret like that." The brunette hummed as she yanked at the woman's hair. "But I suppose it's alright because that means my little Lucy-chan can get the revenge she's been waiting so long for!"

Mirajaine moved to run toward her friend's side but stopped when Gajeel grabbed her arm. "Chances are if any of us run over there they'll kill Scarlet anyway. If that really is Lucy, we'll just have to place our faith in her." He explained.

Hana frowned when the girl didn't move and yanked on Erza's hair so she made a sound. "Oh? What's wrong? Why haven't you moved? This is the perfect opportunity for you to finally get your revenge! Don't you remember how they treated you? How they dirtied your name? They forgot about you! And with this, you can settle the score! You'll pay them back for everything they did to you."

Slowly, Lucy bent down to retrieve Titania's discarded blade before looking at it with a blank face. "You don't have to do this Lucy-san!" Juvia yelled, sensing that she was weighing her options. "Juvia know's what that woman did to you! Your Master isn't dead; she was hiding him below the guild! You have complete control over what you're going to do! With this one move, you can prove what your true intentions are! Show us that the Lucy-san we love is still there!"

"The one we love, huh?" Everyone's eyes widened as she raised the weapon and rounded her arm back. "That's pretty rich, coming from you!" Erza closed her eyes when she saw Lucy throw her arm forward and a feeling of impending doom settled in her stomach. "No one gets to tell me what to do."

"Is your world just a broken promise?

Is your love just a drop of rain?

Will we all just burn like fire?

Are you still there?"

-Red "Let it Burn"

A/N: So the true identity of Alex is revealed. I'm terrible at writing mystery so this probably didn't come as a big surprise to anybody, but I still had a nice time writing it! Is Lucy actually going to kill Erza or will something unexpected happen? Find out in the next chapter!

*On the fairy tail wiki page they refer to Erza's Japanese Cloth Requip as the Clear Heart Armor, so that's why I called it that.
