"Usopp, get your butt outta my face," Luffy said in a muffled voice, "Why are you on top of me anyway?"

"Idiot! You're the reason we fell down here in the first place!" Usopp yelled back defensively. They were probably lucky to have fallen on him, considering he was like a human cushion.

"Gah…the whole world is spinning. Is anyone hurt?" Chopper said wobbling on his feet as his vision refocused.

"I can't see anything, but I think we're all fine," Usopp replied, standing.

"Woah! Where are we? Why's is so dark!?" Luffy yelled with the sound of him scrambling to his feet.

"Weren't you paying any attention? We fell down into a cellar!"

"Woah, this is sooo cool!" his footsteps wandered a bit away before a loud thud was heard as he crashed into something hard and cool with a grunt.

"What's a cellar doing on this random island anyway?" Chopper muttered.

"I have just the thing we need," Usopp said. The sound of him rummaging through his bag was heard, followed by a sharp Aha! and then a click as a stick of light glowed dimly in his hand.

"WOAH!" Luffy and Chopper exclaimed, stars in their eyes.

"What is it?" Chopper question with hopeful eyes.

"It's a glow stick, I made them myself with some chemicals I bought on the previous island."

"But it's really dim, why don't we use one of your fireworks! They're really bright!" Luffy suggested.

"Yeah, I guess I could. If I wanted to blow us and the entire cellar up."

"AH! Oh yeah, I forgot they explode," Luffy said hitting his fist into his other hand.

"I have some bigger ones we can use. They have better lighting," Usopp said opening his bag and again bringing forth a few larger glow sticks and snapping one to make it glow, "We should conserve them so only use one at a-"

Luffy took hold of the others and cracked them all at once.

"LUFFY!"

"What?"

"What the hell!? We are supposed to conserve them!"

"More means it'll be brighter!"

Usopp slapped his palm into his forehead, not willing to argue with his bull-headed captain, "Fine, whatever, just give one to Chopper."

"Woah, they're lighter than I thought!" Chopper squeaked in joy as he held the glowing blue object.

"This place is really weird!" Luffy yelled, already down the hall.

From what the blue burn of the glow sticks showed, the walls were made of poorly-etched stone and set with some kind of cement. Rock randomly jutted out in some places, and were depressed in other areas.

"These walls…Where did people get this rock on such an island?"

"This place makes my fur stand! What kind of cellar is this?!" Chopper squeaked as they both caught up with Luffy, who was digging his arm into a hole in the wall. Usopp walked ahead a few feet and the cave opened up. To one of his sides there was the smell of flint. He rummaged through his bag for a match and lit it, tossing it into the powder. Almost at once the entire room lit up, the powder trailed along the room in an elevated, dug out trench. There were now several interconnecting rivers of fire that lit every corner of the room. Their eyes widened.

"Guys…I don't think this is a cellar…" Chopper began, examining the room's contents, wide-eyed.

"No…it's a tomb…." Usopp finished.

They walked on slowly, even Luffy seemed to be affected by the ambiance, staring just as wide-eyed at the catacombs as the others.

Along the walls were shelves with bones adorning them. Only a handful were empty. At the beginning, the bones seemed ancient, but as they walked, they noticed the corpses seemed to be less…decomposed.

"Agh, that smell!" Chopper said covering his nose, "It's almost like…" the words stuck in his throat.

"God…" Usopp mumbled, backing away.

Luffy approached the area they were gawking at, holding up his glow stick as he peered into one of the crevasses at eyelevel. A cloth hung before it, slightly concealing its contents, so he used his free hand to move them aside.

"Luffy, maybe you shouldn't be doing that…" Usopp murmured.

Chopper glanced around the surrounding walls. His blood froze as he began to notice dark-coloured writing in some places along the lower parts of the walls. "G-guys, I think you should take a look at this…" Chopper said without turning.

"Woah, this guy looks like he just-" Luffy began, but forgot his words as the corpse suddenly jerked toward him, opening his eyes and grabbing the startled boy's wrist in a vice grip.

"Gah!" Luffy suddenly yelped, dropping his glow stick andnearly falling over.

"GAAAH! ZOMBIE!" Chopper and Usopp screamed, jumping into each other's arms.

"Hey! Let go of me, jerk! You're supposed to be dead anyways!" Luffy yelled, trying to break loose from the man's grasp.

"P-please…." He spoke, coughing up blood.

"H-hey, you alright, old guy?" Luffy questioned, "Chopper, come help him!"

"R-right!" Chopper started toward the man.

"No…please… you must listen…" he paused taking in air steadily. The room went completely silent besides the sound of his hollow breathing, "This place…is evil…this island is evil…y-you must leave…now…or end up like…m-me…"

"Well! You heard him we should go!" Usopp said already beginning to leave.

"Wait! You can't tell me when to leave! I'll leave when I feel like it!"

"Luuuuffffy," Usopp pleaded.

"Boy…if you stay…you'll surely die…if you stay…beware of the orange lights…"

"Got it! Beware of the oranges in tights!"

"Orange lights, Luffy!"

"That's what I said!"

"See ya old guy!" Luffy said turning to follow Chopper and Usopp as they turned to leave.

"Boy…one m-more thing…" the man's voice was growing weaker, "i-if…you can see the smoke…it's already too late…"

His words made the boys feel uneasy and at first he stared at the man with a serious expression before fiercely nodding once. The man smiled and chuckled a little, "You remind me of my…of my…s-son…." A heavy breath passed his lips. His chest did not rise again. Luffy hadn't noticed before, but the man wore white hat with big, capital, blue letters on it.

M.A.R.I.N.E.

"See ya," he said quietly with a smile before running after his nakama.
