Hey guys! I'm back! Did you miss me? No? Fine be that way! Anyway, I've got a new chapter for you and I hope you will like it because I put a lot of effort into this story. So enjoy!
Chapter Four
Frigga studied the injured boy's face as she escorted him to the healing room, every now and again, seeing a smirk on his face. She narrowed her eyes but let it go. She couldn't do anything without proof. Frigga thought back to when he was lying on the ground and her son was standing above him. She knew that Loki could significantly hurt someone without the aid of his magic but she also knew that he was using magic more often. It still didn't make any sense that he would start a fight. She gave the boy one last disapproving look before leaving the healing and heading back to her chambers.
CLANG
The sound of metal caught her attention and she made her way towards the noise. As she approached the training room, she saw Loki throw a sharp dagger at the target in front of him. His eyes were dark and there were small cuts on his face and arms. With every dagger he threw, his face became more contorted with anger and hatred. "Loki…can I come in?"
Loki's dagger missed the target as he spun around to look at his mother. Frigga didn't fail to see that all his cuts had healed in the time it took to register that she was there. She remembered when she taught him that spell but she couldn't help the fact that he couldn't trust her enough to show her when he was hurting.
"Mother. What are doing here?" Loki asked with a confused look on his face.
"I just wanted to see if you were ok. But I also want to know the truth. What happened earlier?" Frigga asked. Ever since the fight, she knew that there was a different story to be heard.
"It doesn't matter." Loki replied bluntly, starting to walk away.
"Loki." Frigga said. Her voice was firm but her eyes were pleading for her son to talk to her. Ever since Loki was little, he felt like he didn't quite fit in as an Odinson but Frigga was always there to cheer him up, to comfort him. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't keep things from her.
"I didn't start the fight." He started.
"I know, honey." Frigga replied pulling her youngest son into a hug. There wasn't anything more to be said as she knew that it was only self defence. At times, it felt like the world was against Loki. She wished that she could feel all the pain for him.
"Frigga darling, is the boy ok?" Odin asked as he entered his chambers to find his wife sitting at her dressing table. She glared at him before turning back to the mirror.
"Our son or his bully?" She asked, refusing to look at him as anger built up inside her.
"What are you talking about? You heard the boy, he was defenceless against Loki's magic." Odin replied calmly. Frigga's body shook slightly and glared at her husband's reflection. The mirror cracked under her dark gaze and the items on her dressing table flew into the walls. She stood up and turned to Odin.
"Does Loki mean nothing to you!? Do you not care about our son!?" She yelled and the air became heavy and tense.
"He is not our son, Frigga. You know that." Odin replied quietly. "He is the son of Laufey."
"You're right, he's not our son. But he's eternally linked to Yggdrasil and at least deserves you're respect, Odin." Frigga countered. Odin opened his mouth to reply but had nothing to say. The queen nodded at her husband in satisfaction before leaving the room.
She didn't know that Thor and Sif were standing right outside the door.
"He is the son of Laufey."
The colour drained from Thor's face as he pushed himself away from the door that he was previously pressed up against. Sif watched in horror as her friend went from shock to pure anger. So pure that he was visibly shaking and storm clouds consumed the sun. Thor was about to throw the door open before Sif grabbed his arm and shoved him against the far wall. "Don't." She said firmly. Thor was about to argue but Sif covered his mouth with her hand. "Just don't, Thor. Do you have any idea what this will cause if you say anything? You will destroy Asgard and your family. There are some things that should be left a secret." She concluded letting go of the blonde prince.
"But-" Thor started.
"Look, I love Loki just as much as you. You guys took me in when I had no where to go. I care about you too much to let this one thing destroy everything you've ever held dear. At least wait a while, until he's older, until he can control his emotions, ok?" Sif pleaded Thor.
He closed his eyes for a moment, his mind simultaneously going through every possible situation that he and his brother could fall into. Each and every one ended badly. "Fine…" He decided, immediately feeling unsure. "I hope you're right."
Sif sighed before facing him, "You no idea how much I want to be."
Loki sat on top of the highest tower of Asgard's palace with Sigyn. She looked in awe and horror at her surroundings and took deep breaths to keep herself calm. "I'm assuming you always come up here?" She asked after noticing that the peaceful yet amused look on Loki's face.
"I come up here all the time. It helps me think." He replied. He saw the slightest touch of fear in Sigyn's eyes and hesitantly put his hand on her's. "I promise you won't fall." He smiled comfortingly.
"Is that your subtle way of telling me that you'll catch me if I fall?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No. If you fall, that's it. I'm just here to prevent it." Loki replied, causing Sigyn to laugh.
"So what else do you do up here?" She asked looking at the people below.
"Magic mostly. What about you? Do you still practice?" Loki asked curiously.
"Of course. Watch this." Sigyn held her hand out towards two particular guard's helmets. She closed her eyes in concentration and the two helmets flew towards each other like magnets, unfortunately dragging the two guards along too.
Loki grinned at her before concentrating on Sif's sword. He held his hand out to the side and within seconds, her sword flew into his hand. It wasn't long before he could hear her yells coming from the training grounds.
"Sif's going to kill you." Sigyn said laughing.
"She's going to have to find me first." Loki replied and held out his hand. Sigyn rolled her eyes but took it anyway. She closed her eyes and smiled at the rush she felt as the two of them disappeared.
I'm gonna be mean and end it there. I hope you liked it. I tried to lighten the mood at the end because I felt like it was getting dark. THIS IS IMPORTANT SO PLEASE READ. When you review, please tell me your preferred pairings for Thor because I feel like it's becoming ThorxSif. If you anything to say about improvements to storylines, please tell me. Your opinions mean a lot to me, I'll see ya soon! Bye!
