AN:Thanks for the link Rachel, I've played and replayed that video so many times:)

Considering they didn't even have a single scene together, I'd say the video is flawless. You and your friend did an amazing job.

The very first Lucas and Maddy video: youtube(.)/watch?v=KUr5V4t4mLs

You guys should watch it, its awesome:)

Maddy entered Lucas' tent and was immediately mesmerized by what she saw.

Scattered everywhere were formulas, equations and derivations so complicated, it would have made others head spin but not Maddy, she was in awe of it. She was analyzing everything so carefully that she didn't even notice Lucas come in.

"Do you even understand any of it?", Lucas' words brought her back to reality.

"Just because I'm a girl, you think I wouldn't understand. I know a lot more than you give me credit for",she responded.

He was about to respond when a sixer walked in.

"Here are the pills you wanted", he said and he handed Lucas a pouch.

"Good...now leave", Lucas ordered the sixer.

"Take this, it should help with your pain", Lucas gave Maddy one of pills.

"Thanks, where do you put your water?", she asked.

"Over there by the bed", he pointed to a bottle of water by his bed.

"Lucas, can I ask you a question", Maddy said after she had taken the pill.

"If I say no will that stop you", Lucas remarked sarcastically.

"Why are you staying in the sixers camp", Maddy said ignoring his previous remarrk.

"Well, I tried working in the jungle, but I found out it takes forever to get even the simplest things done, you know with the running for your life and all that", he said with a smirk on his face.

"That's not what I meant, I mean why don't you go back to Terra Nova, your dad must miss you a lot after all these years", she said.

"I doubt he even cares whether I'm alive or not" he replied.

"But he's your father...", she couldn't complete her sentence because Lucas interrupted her.

"I don't want to hear or talk about him, okay", he snapped.

"Its getting late, we should get some sleep, I have a long day tomorrow", he continued.

"We're not gonna eat anything before we sleep", she asked.

"Fine, I'll got get us something to eat", an annoyed Lucas replied.

He came back with something Maddy did not to see let alone eat ever again... beetle grub.

"More beetle grub", she asked.

"Just eat and stop complaining", he snapped.

"Alright alright, I'm eating", she said.

When they had finished eating Lucas said, "Its late I think we should get some sleep".

"Okay", Maddy agreed.

"Where am I gonna sleep", she asked noticing that there was only one bed.

"Isn't it obvious, I'll sleep on the bed and you can manage on the floor, can't you", he said with a smirk on his face.

"I guess I can manage", a baffled Maddy responded.

"You are so gullible...I'm not that bad that I'd make you sleep on the floor", he said half laughing.

" Thanks", she said as she climbed on the bed.

Being exhausted from the long journey, they fell asleep immediately.

"Morning sunshine", Lucas' voice broke Maddy's slumber.

"What... its morning already", Maddy replied as she rubbed her eyes.

"Get up, I brought you breakfast", he handed her some frut.

"Thanks", she said as she sat up on the bed.

"How's your foot", he asked.

"Its better, those pain meds sure work fast", she responded.

"What are we doing today", she asked him as she got down from the bed.

"I'm working and your'e gonna sit here quietly and not disturb me", he replied.

"What are you working on, maybe I can help you", she said.

"I don't need help, especially from you. Just eat your breakfast", he responded.

She didn't want to argue with him on an empty stomach so she complied. She sat on one of the stools and began eating.

"You should really take me seriously Lucas, I'm not dumb", she said after they had finished their frut.

"No offence Maddy, but I'm a physicist and your'e just a high school student. You can't even begin to comprehend most of my work", he taunted.

"I might be a high school student but I know a lot more than you think", she replied.

"Okay, I'll humour you, what do you know?", he asked.

"For starters, I've been looking at your calculations and you've made some mistakes", she said.

"What mistakes?", he asked.

"For the calculation of frequency, you used the differential form when it would been a lot more accurate to use the integral form", she replied.

"No, that's not true, its more accurate to use the differential form", he defended his work.

"If your'e so sure then lets make a little wager", she said.

"What kind of wager?", he asked.

"You solve it using your method and I'll solve it using mine. If I'm right you have to answer all my questions, even if they're about your family", she replied.

"And when I'm right what do I get", he asked.

"IF your'e right then I'll shut up and I won't bother you about anything anymore", she responded.

"Alright then, we have a bet", he extended his hand and they shook on it.
