Finn groaned, rubbing his head in pain as he scrambled up, realizing he was in a cell.
"What the fuck? Where am I?" Finn asked Jeremiah who was standing next to the cell.
"Shut up," he snapped. "You are not to speak until you have permission from Mysteria."
"Okay. So can I go see-"
"I said SHUT UP!"
"Go fuck yourself! I just wanna get home!"
Jeremiah growled. "Why you motherfu-"
"Hey, Jeremiah! You can, like, bring Finny to Mysteria now." a voice shouted from an earpiece Jeremy was wearing. It was so loud even Finn could hear it. It sounded like…Divana…
"Alright, c'mon out." Jeremy opened the cell door. "Don't try anything or you can be brought to Mysteria the hard way." He pulled out a taser from his pocket.
Finn sighed, asking where to go as Jeremy went behind him.
They walked out the room into a tunnel. There were gems and crystals embedded into the rock walls. A double door automatically opened as they neared it, leading them into a tunnel that was made of…candy?
Now lollipops, candy canes, candy corn etc. were in the walls. There were stalactites made of chocolate hanging from the ceiling and the ground was made of solid rock hard caramel vanilla wafer. There were also a few short stalagmites made of strawberry ice cream.
What kind of place is this? Finn thought, half astonished and half not believing what he was seeing.
As they passed the next double doors, Finn noticed no guards or cameras.
So much for tight security, thought Finn.
The next level or tunnel was just ice and snow. Finn shrieked, dodging a stalactite that had fallen from the ceiling and almost landed on him.
"Keep on moving, you little shit!" Jeremiah commanded, poking Finn in his back with the taser. Finn growled under his breath but kept his cool, walking around the pointy sculpture of ice.
The next tunnel was pretty much almost like a submarine. There was glass, and beyond that was water and with it ocean inhabitants. Sharks, octopi, squid, sea anemone, barracuda, whales, eels, crabs, lobsters, etc. Finn marveled in awe as he watched the sea creatures swim around, following their normal animal instincts.
"Alright, aquarium tour's over. Move it along." Jeremy poked Finn with a taser once again. Finn wanted to ask Jeremy where they were, but debated against it. He'd probably get answers from Mysteria.
The next tunnel was the opposite of the last two tunnels. There was fire pretty much everywhere except the floor, but even that was hot. You could say they might as well have been in a freaking volcano. Finn had been a little panicked, in fear of getting burned. But Jeremy was completely calm so he decided it was alright, until he thought he had seen wolves. But they were also calm, and seemed to have thin red lines at most areas of their body.
"Those are fire wolves if you're wondering," Jeremy stated. "Five times dangerous than normal ones. Guess that's because they can breathe fire."
Finn gulped, and avoided eye contact with the animals, that stared at him calmly, not moving a muscle.
Once they got out of that tunnel Finn had wished they'd stayed in the tunnel of ice and snow. He felt sweat forming in his feet, soaking his socks. He was also very dehydrated, making him walk a bit slower.
"Here you go," Jeremy offered a bottle of water. Finn, without thinking, grabbed it and chugged the water down until it was completely empty, unaware of the evil smile that Jeremy cracked.
Finn gasped for air as he finished the whole bottle within a minute. "…Thanks," he rasped.
"No problem," Jeremy took the bottle and threw it at a nearby trash can.
It took Finn a few moments after drinking the water to realize they were in a regular tunnel. Pretty much like the first one only without the gems and crystals.
As they walked out yet another double door, Finn heard small splashing, and looked down to see he was literally walking on water. "HOLY SHI-"
"Quiet!" Jeremy yelled. "Stop being a pussy. You're fine. It's just a little water walking."
Finn sighed in relief, calming himself. He looked straight ahead to see no double doors, but instead stairs. Finn looked up to see the bright blue sky, with few clouds, and around him was just rock.
He looked up to see the stairs were so long they might as well lead to the top of a mountain.
"We'll be walking up those stairs," Jeremy said. "Up the mountain to see Mysteria."
Goddammit, Finn thought in disbelief.
*40 minutes later*
Finn let out a huge gasp as he struggled to climb up the last step to the top of the mountain.
"So…tired…" he rasped. "Need…water…"
"Here you go," a bottle of water was brought in front of Finn's face. Finn went to take it only to be realize who offered it.
"The hell, Jeremy?!" exclaimed Finn. "How'd you-"
"Took the elevator," Jeremy grinned.
"What flipping elevator?!" Finn angrily questioned before chugging down another bottle of water.
"Never mind that. We're here, anyway."
Finn finished the whole bottle, wiping his mouth to see that the top of the mountain was pretty flat. In front of him sat Mysteria Sadistic, in a red and golden throne. Next to her was Divana.
"Mysteria! Mind telling me what's going on here and where I am?!" Finn asked.
"In my domain now, Finn." replied Mysteria. "How was the Tour of Tunnels?"
"Messed up," Finn answered. "But at the same time actually sort of cool, I gotta admit."
"Glad you liked it," Mysteria stood up, walking towards Finn. "Did Jeremy do anything?"
"Cut the crap, Mysteria. I have no idea what you're talking about. I just wanna go home."
"Sorry, but that can't happen. We-er, I mean, I need you for something."
"Like what?" Finn raised a brow.
"Well…first…how about we chat with some food and beverages?"
"How? We're on a freakin' mountain!"
"Diva! Jeremiah! Fetch the food and refreshments!"
Divana and Jeremiah nodded, going down the stairs.
"Look, I don't have time for this. Especially not a date." Finn said. "Can you please just tell me how to get home?"
"Aww, homesick already? I'd figured you'd wanna spend some time with me."
"I can't. My family's probably worried sick about me right now. Besides I-"
Finn stopped his sentence, suddenly remembering what happened between him and Marceline.
"-Don't have a girlfriend…"
Finn shook his head. "Ugh, forget this. I'm leaving and find my own way out."
Finn turned around to the stairs but barely moved a foot when he suddenly felt incredible pain on his back again.
"Agh! Damn it, not again! My back's burning like crazy!" Finn shouted, holding his back.
Mysteria sighed. "Finn. You can't leave until I say so."
Finn calmed down, as the pain in his back went away again. "What are you saying?"
Mysteria took out a picture and handed it to Finn.
"Is that a tattoo-" Finn started
"On your back?" Mysteria finished. "Yes. It got there when you bit by that mutant mole."
"How do you know about-"
"That doesn't matter right now. The only thing that does is that I have the same thing on my neck." Mysteria said, showing him the same looking tattoo.
It was a circle with fire around it, and multiple spikes around it. There was a skull in the middle of the circle. It had sharp teeth, horns, dragons wings and…
"What's with the beard and mustache?" Finn asked in confusion.
"Afraid even I don't know. But it's a mark, not a tattoo."
"A mark of what?"
Mysteria walked by Finn's side and whispered in his ear, "A mark of the lich,"
Finn's eyes widened. "A mark of the lich? What does that even mean?!"
"I'll explain more later," Mysteria said. "But you still have the opportunity of being my boyfriend."
"What?! No!" Finn shouted. "You put me in a cell!"
"Very well. You can stay here and eat while we watch the show." Mysteria stated. Finn suddenly found himself in another cell, only this time the bars were electric.
Diva and Jeremiah returned with practically a buffet.
Finn was served barbecued ribs and rice with a side of meat and cheese nachos, as well as salsa and a big bottle of orange soda and a large slice of chocolate fudge ice cream cake with sugar cookies for dessert.
Mysteria was served well cooked salmon, with a side of a teriyaki chicken salad, a bottle of sparkling apple juice and a slice of apple pie for dessert.
"What do you mean show?!" Finn questioned.
"Do you remember when Marceline had told you that you cheated on her with Diva?"
"Yeah…"
"Well that was actually me," Jeremy said, who now for some reason looked exactly like Finn.
"What the heck?! How did you-"
"Jeremy has a special ability in which he can shape shift into anyone he wants," Mysteria explained. "In reality, it was he and Divana flirting, only he was disguised as you. We knew the breakup would cause serious tension between you and Abadeer, and soon you'd both be in detention. That's when the actual plan was supposed to start. The only problem was we didn't expect your friends to be there too. The original plan was for a large hole to appear below you and Marceline, and you'd both be captured by the moles. The hole would be left there for someone to discover, and you'd two go missing, urging your friends to go to extreme measures to come looking for you. But instead, you all decided to break out on your own terms, and as you dug, the hole appeared and moles attacked. Due to extra people, it was a little tough, but one of the moles managed to mark you. Unfortunately, we couldn't take just you and Marceline and leave those others, since they would've woken up and found you two faster. We also couldn't kill them since then it'd be harder for the rest to get here, and we actually need every one of you. And it just wasn't the plan to bring the extra ones along with you and Marceline. So the moles knocked the rest out and brought you all back to the surface, where they fixed the hole. Anyway, the point is, you're finally here, and soon your friends will come looking for you only to end up getting here themselves."
"And how do you plan on doing that?" asked Finn.
Mysteria grinned. "Simple. Jeremiah will disguise himself as you, convince the others that you found a place amazing and will take them there. Now, before you say anything, yes it's true, Marceline may refuse to go because it's you. Which is why we have Ash."
"ASH?!" Finn yelled in shock.
"That's right, chump." said the jerk, appearing from behind Mysteria's throne. Though he looked different. He had more hair, that was now a bit shaggy and light brown, his eyes were dark blue, he was wearing black cargo pants, a black motor bike vest over a red shirt and red shoes.
" Divana had given Ash a make-over. Ash will pose as Luke, a new student. He will woo Marceline, and when the time is right, will stab a poisonous dagger in her neck that will also mark her. And if the plan fails, which I'm sure it won't, he can just do the same thing."
"You sick bastards!" Finn spat. "What is wrong with you?! Why are you doing this?!"
"For reasons that you'll be required for, but you might never understand. We will be watching Jeremiah and Ash do their work on this giant screen over here, Mysteria pointed to the side, just as a giant screen had randomly appeared.
"Now eat your food," said Mysteria. "It's getting cold."
"Wait. So every time I try to escape my mark will burn? Why? It burned before I got here!"
"That's due to the mutant mole poison. The first bottle of water Jeremiah gave you contained a special venom from my blood that senses that every time your body tries to leave the area, your mark will burn."
"Wait, wait, wait. Are you saying I drank some of your blood?!"
"Technically, yes."
"OH, FUCK! That's DISGUSTING!" Finn screamed, spitting at the floor and drinking his soda to remove the taste, making Ash laugh hysterically.
"Silence!" Mysteria snapped at Ash, making him shut up. "You have permission to be dismissed now. Go do your job."
"Yes, ma'am." Ash and Jeremy said before suddenly disappearing.
"Where'd they go?!"
"It's called teleportation, hon." Mysteria giggled before taking a bite out of her salmon.
"I gotta go now too. Stupid school and all." Diva stated. Mysteria nodded, signaling that she can leave. Divana winked at Finn before also teleporting away.
Finn shuddered in utter disgust. Just imagining ever being with that girl…
…And what about Mysteria?
She's too dark for my taste. But then again, so was Marceline, but with Ms. Sadistic here it's much more different story. Man…I wish I hadn't snapped at Fionna like that. I sure was being such a dick. And that caused me to get here in the first place. Just great…now what? I hope the others don't fall for Jeremy or Ash's fucking tricks… Finn thought.
"Hey. Aren't you gonna eat?" Mysteria questioned, finishing up her salad already.
"I will…but chugging down all that water…sure can do something…meaning that I gotta piss." Finn stated.
A door suddenly erupted from the ground and opened itself, showing a perfectly clean toilet. The cell door opened behind Finn.
"Go and get right back in your cell. Remember, do anything else and your mark will burn." warned Mysteria.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatevs!" Finn exclaimed, running in the bathroom and shutting the door.
