The iPad Mini, with a 768x1024 display, Duel-core 1GHz CPU, PowerVR GPU, 512 megabytes of RAM, 5 megapixel back facing camera and 1.2 megapixel front facing camera, iOS operating system but a much higher price tag.
From just the specs alone the choice seems obvious, but one faithful encounter would change Emmett's fate forever.
The day had finally come, Emmett could buy the tablet he had been dreaming off for months.
He had saved his money hard, working at Dad Company, and was just about to get his reward. The best reward of all.
But, there was still one final wall blocking his path to happiness.
Which tablet should he get?
There were two tablets Emmett had his eager eyes on, Apple's iPad mini and its Google counterpart, the Nexus 7
This would be the hardest decision in young Emmett's precious little life.
"Hello! Welcome to JB HI-FI." A woman said to Emmett with a smile as he walked into the store. She seemed quite young, 25 at the most but definitely legal.
Emmett had hoped he would have made the choice by the time he had got here but to his dismay, he remained indecisive.
He walked to the tablet section of the store and stared at the iPad mini and Nexus 7, flicking his attention between the two as if to say 'Fuck me, this is a bit of a pickly dickly'.
"Do you need some help?" A voice said from behind. It was the woman from earlier. She was wearing grey jeans and a black shirt and boy did it look good. Work it girl.
"Oh!" he was surprised "not really I just still haven't decided between these two yet" He gestures towards the competing tablets.
"Both fantastic choices! I'm Jessica by the way." She presented her hand to shake. It's a perfect shade of tan with a unique set of lines formed due to the folding nature of the human hand.
Emmett shook hands with Jessica "I'm Emmett"
"If you'd like you can demo both of them out back, come on I'll show you!"
Jessica grabbed Emmett's slightly sweaty hand tightly and led him to the back of the store.
"Here try this out for size!" Jessica eagerly handed him the iPad mini.
With its body of metal it felt good. Not too big that it's inconvenient to hold, but not too small for the content on the screen to be hard to read for old people.
"Let me show you how it's done." Jessica said seductively as she caressed the screen with her hand. Emmett had never used an Apple device before, this experience was new and exciting.
"Ah, that looks nice" Emmett was trying to hide his heavy breathing. His face grew red from the heat emerging from the inside.
"Wanna see something even better? I'll open a game." Jessica bit her lip as she tapped an icon on the home screen and handed the iPad to Emmett.
Emmett died a few times in the game. He laughed nervously, clearly embarrassed by this display of casualness "I'm not so good at this."
"Let me help" Jessica came up behind Emmett, and put her arms around him to guide his hands with her own. She was close, close enough that Emmett could feel her pressed against his ass and she was pressing hard. Really hard.
