Bring Me to Life
Summary-
Kagome comes back from her time to find Kikyo has joined the group and Shippo is missing. Kagome is forced to travel with Kikyo in the group as they search for the jewel pieces. Sesshomaru tells Inuyasha that he is joining the group to fight Naraku who has kidnapped Rin, during the fight with Naraku Kagome is shot by a poisoned arrow and something magical happens to her.
Chapter 4- Fight
'Kagome' The voice whispered in her head, her hand twitched a little, she felt as if she was floating.
'Are you the one sending me these visions?' Kagome asked.
'No, I am not sending you these visions, I am only guiding you to them.' The voice said softly, she felt someone brush against her, she tried to open her eyes to see who was beside her, but a clawed hand quickly covered her eyes.
'Can I not see you?' Kagome asked.
'Not yet, it is not time for you to see who I am. But soon Kagome, you and I will meet face to face.' The voice said, 'Now it is time for you to awaken, your comrades are worried for you. I think it is time for you to tell them exactly what you are seeing.' Kagome felt as if she was falling, and right before she hit the ground her eyes shot open to see worried gold eyes staring at her. Suddenly Kagome felt very nauseous, she rolled over and threw up.
"Kagome!" She heard Sango say, "Excuse me Lord Sesshomaru," Sango muttered before her hand landed on Kagome's back. Sango moved Kagome's hair so that she wouldn't get any vomit in her hair.
"What the hell happened back there?" Kagome heard Miroku asked.
"I, too, would like to know what happened, is this normal?" Sesshomaru asked. Kagome shook her head to answer his question.
"No, that is not normal." Kagome choked out as she whipped the tears that started to fall while she was throwing up. "It just started recently, right after I came back from my home."
'Tell him everything, Kagome.' The voice said and Kagome nodded.
"Sesshomaru-Sama." Kagome started sitting up with Sango's help.
"I am your Alpha now, it is just Sesshomaru." Sesshomaru said, everyone nodded.
"I have something very important to tell you." Kagome said and Sesshomaru started to worry, even though he never showed it.
"You can tell your Alpha anything." Sesshomaru said.
"Everyone here but you knows that I come from 500 years in the future, I use the bone-eater's well to travel to and from this time. When Inuyasha was our Alpha he would rarely let me go home, but whenever I could convince him to let me go back it would be for only two days. Two days ago he allowed me to stay for four days, but I came back two days early because something was telling me to get back here quickly. When I got back I noticed that my adopted kit Shippo was missing, Inuyasha told me he ran away, but I could sense he was lying." Kagome took a deep breath and continued talking, "That night I had a vision of Rin, she was running away from Naraku and she was scared, I could feel all of her feelings, I knew exactly what she was thinking, she wanted you there. She tripped and Naraku caught her, I then heard your angry roar. The next time she opened her eyes she was in a dungeon laying on Shippo's lap, he was chained up and beaten up. He protected her when Kohaku and Kagrua came in, they gave them food but one was poisoned, he gave her the non-poisoned food. After she ate he forced her to fall asleep."
"How did he force her to sleep?" Sesshomaru asked.
"By pressing the pressure point on the back of her neck." Kagome said.
"Lady Kagome, was this the nightmare you spoke of that morning?" Miroku asked.
"Yes." Kagome said after taking a shaky breath.
"Why did you not inform us of this?" Sango asked.
"I did not inform you because I didn't want to give anyone any false hopes in saying I knew where Shippo was, when in reality all I know is that Naraku has him locked in a dungeon, but where that dungeon is, is still a mystery." Kagome said recalling her words to the voice in her head that morning after her first vision. "I didn't tell you of little Rin's kidnapping because until we knew where they were, we could do nothing to help them. So telling everyone that Rin had been kidnapped would only be a waste of time, and I know that makes me sound like a could heart-ed bitched, but it was the truth." Everyone was silent as they took in every thing Kagome said.
"You are right, that did make you sound like a cold heart-ed bitch, finally showing your true colors I see." Kikyo said from across the camp where she was tending to Inuyasha.
"Oh shut up you clay pot whore, I know it was you that gave Shippo to Naraku! And because of you he is going to die!" Kagome yelled standing up and walking over to Kikyo all the while glaring at her.
"Good, let the rodent die, less filth in the world." Kikyo said, Kagome growled and launched at her.
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Kagome screamed going for Kikyo's neck. Kikyo scream and rolled out of the way, Inuyasha snarled at her and tried to swipe at her but was stopped by Sesshomaru.
"It would be wise not to interfere. This is Kagome and Kikyo's battle for Alpha Female." Sesshomaru said emotionlessly.
"What?" Sango asked.
"Just like males fight for the Alpha male position, females fight for the Alpha female position, and no one is allowed to interfere." Sesshomaru stated and watched the two women fight. Kagome had Kikyo pined beneath her and was punching her. Kikyo screamed before finding the strength to actually flip them over so that Kagome was under her and began to punch her. Sesshomaru had to bite back the urge to rush over and defend her when Kikyo busted her lip. Kagome's eyes narrowed and growled a very demonic growl shocking everyone, Kagome took advantage of Kikyo's shock and threw her off of her.
Kagome jumped up and ran over to her bag to get her bow and arrows, but before she could reach them Kikyo sent a ball of energy at Kagome knocking her over. Kagome growled again and turned to look at her, Kagome's body took on a dark purple glow. She held out her hand and formed an energy ball and threw it at Kikyo knocking her out, Kagome stood over Kikyo's body panting as the glow left her body.
'Very impressive Kagome.' The voice said and Kagome's eye rolled into the back of her head as she passed out. Sesshomaru ran over and caught her before she hit the ground.
"Kikyo has lost, Kagome is now the Alpha female again." Sesshomaru announced sitting Kagome on the ground, "We will stay here until Kagome awakens."
"Yes, Sesshomaru" Sango and Miroku said walking over to Kagome and sat around her.

Rin sat curled up in a little ball as she watched Shippo, she didn't know what he was doing or thinking. He was pacing around muttering something under his breath, almost as if he was arguing with himself, every now and then he would get down on his hands and knees by the door and sniff or growl, once he even scratched. "Tell her." Rin heard Shippo mutter, his voice was deep and dark, suddenly he shook his head "But if I tell her now then she will know." He said and began to pace in circles again, "But wouldn't it be easier if she knew now?" He stopped pacing and nodded his head, "Yes, yes it would be much easier." Suddenly Shippo looked at her, before going back over to the dungeon door and sniffed, he nodded his head before he suddenly appeared in front of Rin.
Rin gave a small scream of fear, not expecting him to do that. Shippo smirked and chuckled a little then sat down cross legged. He looked very serious, and it kind of frightened Rin. "Shippo?" She whispered.
"Rin, come closer, but don't leave the circle." He said, Rin noticed that Shippo had sat down just out side of the circle, she slowly crawled so that she sat right in front of him while staying in the circle. He nodded his head at her. "I have something very important to tell you."
"What is it?" Rin asked. Shippo sighed and looked around nervously, looking as if he was deciding if it was really okay to tell her. He sighed again before looking back at her.
"First of all Rin, I must tell you that this is not my true form." Shippo said Rin looked shocked.
"What?" Rin asked.
"Long ago, I was cursed by a powerful Miko named Midoriko. At that time, I was young and very foolish, I thought that I was invisible. I cursed my best friend to never leave my side and made it so that he could never lie to me, I did that because I was afraid he would leave me and betray me like everyone else in my life. My fear became worse when he fell in love. I know now that my fear was foolish and unnecessary, he would never have left me or betrayed me." He said the looked off to the side holding back his tears, Rin tried to reach out to him to wipe his tears away but the black flames shot up from the circle and kept her from touching him.
"What?" Rin asked.
"It is for the best that you do not get too close to me, I have told you that I will not live." Shippo said, "Now, where was I? Oh yes, Midoriko came and cursed my soul to wonder the world in the form of a young kit, while my real body lies resting, waiting for my soul to return. But because of my curse my best friend had been forced to stay by my body for centuries, and it is not fair. He should be free to roam the earth with his loved one. And I know that once this curse on me is lifted I will lift the curse on him."
"That would be nice." Rin said. Shippo looked at her, his face and eyes void of all emotions.
"Now, to what I really want to tell you. While I was searching the world for away to remove this curse, I came across a young woman who was about to give birth, she told me that her daughter was very special, she would be the one to save the world from evil. But before she could give birth something happened, a light hit her stomach and split the baby's soul in two. The baby was born with half a soul, a demon stole the baby after killing the mother, I did not know what happened to the baby, but I swore that I would find her one day because something inside me told me that she was the key to my cure."
"Did you ever find her?" Rin asked.
"Yes, 70 years later. I have been traveling with her and silently protecting her. But sadly her soul is now split into thirds." Shippo said.
"Do you know where all of the pieces of her soul is?" Rin asked.
"Yes, One is inside her body, one is inside Kikyo, and the other is inside you." Shippo said and Rin gasped.
"Is, is Lady Kagome the baby you have been searching for?" Rin asked.
"Yes, that is why I need you to live, you house her soul. If you die then Kagome can never fully awaken, and if she never fully awakens then she can never defeat the evil." Shippo said.
"So, my soul is Kagome's?" Rin asked.
"No, you are only housing her soul, you have two souls. But if you die and your soul leaves your body then Kagome's soul will take over and she will not be able to take back her soul without killing you, and Kagome will never kill you or allow anyone to kill you." Shippo said.
"Oh, does Kagome know this?" Rin asked.
"She does now." Shippo said.
"What?" Rin asked.
"She heard and saw everything you just did." Shippo asked.
"How?" Rin asked.
"Because you house her soul, you two are connected. Her soul is slowly starting to awaken thanks to my best friend, and since it is awakening she can use that soul to see, feel, and hear everything you see, hear, and feel." Shippo said smirking, "And if she tries hard enough she can locate you using the part of her soul you have."
"And then she will come rescue us?" Rin asked.
"You, she will rescue you and Sesshomaru will kill me." Shippo said. "Kagome will make sure of it.
"Why will Kagome let Lord Sesshomaru kill you?" Rin asked.
"Because I need the Demon Lord who hold the sword of Life to swing it and brake the cures. Now sleep so that Kagome can find us." Shippo said then pressed the pressure point on her neck causing her to pass out.

Kagome once again felt like she was floating, she was about to open her eyes when she felt someone sitting next to her, she figured she should keep her eyes closed.
'Welcome back' The voice said with a deep chuckle.
"You're Shippo aren't you?" Kagome asked. Kagome felt a clawed hand run through her hair.
'Yes, I am Shippo. For all the years we have been traveling together I have been trying to awaken you. I had almost succeeded when that witch took your soul and split it destroying all the work I had done.' Shippo said sighing.
"Where are we?" Kagome asked.
''We are in the spirit world.' Shippo said and she felt him lay down next to her.
"You mean we are dead?" Kagome asked.
'No, we are not dead, just merely passing through, I am guiding your soul back to your body. When ever you have these visions, your soul leaves your body and finds its way into Rin's body. When I believe you have seen or heard enough I then guide your soul back to your body.' Shippo said.
"Is that why I am always waking up gasping for air?" Kagome asked.
'Yes, that is why. Any more questions before I send you back to your body?' Shippo asked.
"How do I find you- I mean Rin?" Kagome asked, remembering that she needed to get Sesshomaru to swing Tensaga at Shippo.
'Concentrate on your soul, you will be able to either pull it towards you, or follow it to Rin. I would suggest pulling the piece of soul Kikyo has back to you so that you would not get confused on which soul to follow.' Shippo said.
"Kikyo is now in our group, I do not think I will get confused." Kagome said, not wanting to face a pissed off Inuyasha when she took her soul back from Kikyo killing her once again.
'It is your soul, do with it what you will, but I must send you back, Inu-Tashio is getting worried about how worried his son is.' Shippo said and Kagome felt another person sit down next to her, and a clawed hand turn her face to look some where.
'You may look at me Lady Kagome.' A deep voice that sounded almost like Sesshomaru said, her eyes snapped open to see a man with long silver hair and golden eyes. He had a crescent moon on his forehead and she would have thought it was Sesshomaru if not for the lone maroon stripe on his cheeks.
"Lord Inu-Tashio?" Kagome asked just to make sure it was him.
'Yes Lady Kagome, I am Inu-Tashio, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha's father. Please tell Sesshomaru that I am proud that he has finally opened his heart up again, oh and ask him if he has found something to protect if he doesn't look like he believes you. And one more thing, give Inuyasha a good beating for me.' Inu-Tashio said and Kagome laughed.
'Close your eyes Kagome.' Shippo said, Kagome had the urge to look at him but squished it and closed her eyes. She felt her self falling and opened her eyes with a start right before she hit the ground and shot up gasping for air. A clawed hand was placed on her back, once she had caught her breath she turned and smiled at Sesshomaru and everyone else.
"I'm fine." Kagome said.
"Another vision Lady Kagome?" Miroku asked.
"Yes." Kagome said.
"What was it this time?" Sango asked.
"It was Shippo informing me how to find them." Kagome said then looked at Sesshomaru said, "On my way back I meet with your father and he said he was proud that you were opening your heart again." She said shocking him.
"You meet my father, but how is that possible? He is in the spirit world." Sesshomaru said, her scent didn't indicate any lies.
"On your way back?" Miroku asked.
'Don't tell them.' Shippo whispered in her head.
"While I was waking up." Kagome said, then stood up and walked over to Inuyasha, half-way to him she stopped. "Oh yes, your father also asked it you have found something to protect." Sesshomaru looked shocked for a second before looking up towards the sky smirking.
"Yes, yes I have father, I now see why you did what you did." Sesshomaru muttered so no one could hear him, he felt his chest warm up and knew his father was happy that Sesshomaru had finally forgiven him.
