Chapter 4: Truth behind the Past

The room was quiet. Kasuga was sleeping on the floor until she heard a loud bang

"Wh-what?!" she said surprised

"What are you doing sleeping on the floor?" It was Keiji.

"Keiji?" she looked around her. She was on her room "I'm back?" she looked around again "I'm really back!"

"What are you talking about Kasuga?" Keiji laughs.

"I was transported back into the past and I met the emperor there and I was looking for the way back and suddenly I was warped-"

"You are asleep the whole time. What are you talking about? Breakfast is ready. Grandma was also waiting downstairs" and Keiji left.

"Hey Keiji wait! I am telling the truth!" she stand up from the cold floor and she notice the broken mirror on the floor. "This is..." she carefully examined the mirror. The mirror looks the same as the one hanging in the emperor's room.

"Kasuga, what are you doing? Stop daydreaming and get down here before the soup gets cold."

"Alright. I'm coming"

She went down the stairs into the kitchen to get some soup from the bowl.

"Good Morning Grandma. You're back"

"Oh Kasuga. I see you are already here"

"Grandma, she was here the whole time" Keiji said. "When she woke up, she was telling me nonsense about returning to the past. Haha. I think she hit herself with the mirror"

"Keiji, I told you I am telling the truth!"

"You two, don't fight. Let us eat." Grandma told them

While Keiji was watching the dishes, Kasuga went into the Living Room with her Grandma and she noticed the old piano again.

"Kasuga, you want me to play the piano?"

"Yes, Grandma. That would be great."

The old lady began to play a familiar melody. The melody that the emperor played during the time she was in the past.

"This piano is so old now Grandma. Do you want to replace it with someone new?"

"This piano is very special. It was passed down from time to time by the Royal Family. I even remembered the story my mother told me about the emperor and her wife"

Kasuga looked at her grandmother. "I want to listen to the story"

"One of the emperor that took care of this piano met a lady named Kasuga. She was a girl claiming that she came from the future and wants to return back to her time. The girl then found a way back to their time and disappeared in a bright light. The girl never returned but during the era's Fireworks Festival, the emperor found the same girl watching the festival and married it. The girl and the emperor lived happily ever after"

"That is quite a tale"

"That is where your mother get your name. She was inspired by the story and named you after the girl"

"Kasuga are you here?" someone began to knock at the door. "It is me Sasuke"

"Sasuke?! How did you know about this place?"

"Keiji told me!" And he opened the door. "There would be a firework festival tomorrow, do you want to come with me and watched it?"

"WHAT?"

"What is the matter?"

"No way!" she then grabs the nearby pillow sitting in the Sofa and throws it into him "I'll never go out in a Firework Festival with you!" and she left out the room.
