I've been thinking about the direction of this story, and I guess it's time to act on those thoughts.

Disclaimer goes here!

The first time I tasted human blood I knew there was no turning back. If you were one of my kind I'm sure you would understand. There's something seductive, powerful and free about the sweet taste of something that used to pump through your veins. Human blood is as pure to a vampire as religion is to a human, and I worship it. I know now that I cannot blame James for becoming obsessed with the sweet nectar humans are filled with, because human blood is a drink made for the Gods.

Gods? Yes, I said that correctly. The God you know does not exist, even the oldest vampire has never met him, and the world is still here, becoming more corrupt, and it will forever be full of bullshit. I learned something, and I'll let you in on this secret—THE VAMPIRE RACE IS THE HIGHEST POWER AND WHEN WE DECIDE TO COME OUT OF THE DARK WE WILL RULE THIS WORLD.

"Hey Eliza," I had heard her approaching before she called me. I was so in tune with the scent of her blood that I recognized her by the sound of her heart beat- it was like a lullaby that sung a tune meant to entice only me.

I slowed my walk and let her catch up with me before I turned to her with a smile. "Hey?" I tried to make the question sound sweet as it rolled off my tongue and by judging her light smile back I knew I was successful.

"So, I don't know if you saw me in class, but you have Professor A-Hole too," I shook my head yes—Where are you going with this lady? I have shit to do…. Like fight the urge to sink my teeth into your throat and drain you so I no longer have to deal with your fucked up nasally voice. "Ok, I know you don't know me like at all, but I think you're cool, and you're new to campus, so maybe you want to hang out?"

"I'd feel more comfortable hanging out if I knew your name." I said as if I didn't already know.

She palmed her forehead, "I'm so stupid. My name is Alex." She extended her hand I reached out my gloved her to shake hers. "So, now that you know my name; how about it?"

"I think I'll take you up on that offer." I smiled at how well my plan was going and looked at the suddenly dazzled girl standing in front of me before speaking again, "What do you have in mind?"

"Do you drink?" believe me sweetie I do so much more than drink. I shook my head yes, "Then the bar hopping it is." She clapped her hands and handed me a cell phone, "Log your number in?" I typed in the number to my most recent disposable phone and called myself so that I would have her phone number saved before she contacted me. "I can tell; we're going to be great friends!"

I watched Alex as she half bounced, half ran to her car. She was like a giant mass of energy and I couldn't wait to get a taste.

What do college kids wear to bars? Currently this was my dilemma. I knew I couldn't feel the coldness in the air, but I still had to act like it. How do I pull that off and show an efficient amount of skin? I had tried on several dresses and nothing seemed to fit the way I wanted it to. As I dug into the bottom of my bag something soft grazed my fingertips, the touch made me curious so I grabbed a handful of the soft fabric and pulled. At first sight of the blue-gray color I knew what it was, but I still wanted to catch a glimpse. The dress was short and had a three-way split cut into the back that stopped right above the waist line before it flowed delicately to the bottom, and I knew the way it would fit. I knew it would hug my body in all the right ways, but I wanted to hate the memories that came along with it. I wanted to burn the dress and fucking trample on it, but I also wanted to feel the softness on my skin. Damn you Alice. Without thinking twice about it I pulled the dress over my undergarments and zipped myself in. With one look in the mirror I knew that this was the dress I wanted to wear when I sunk my teeth into Alex's flesh. If you're going to almost kill someone you might as well do it in style.

Buzz. Buzzzzzzz. "Hello?"

"Hey, Iz, I'm going over to the bar on ninth and B street…. do you need me to pick you up, or will you be able to find your way?"

I didn't want to have any ties with her by the time this night was over so I said the obvious answer, "I can meet you there; no problem." After hanging up the phone I took the pins out of the high bun I had been wearing all day and let the loose curls fall down my back—I didn't see the point of doing anything else to my hair, so I threw on pair of black pumps and a black Pea coat before checking myself out in the mirror. This is the conquest you've been waiting for. Make it worthwhile.

I stepped outside of the hotel and let the air—that would've felt cold if I were human—hit my face and legs. Something about letting my scent dangerously linger in the air made me feel victorious; a part of me wondered what it would be like to be found, while the other half took some delight in staying hidden from those who had brought me pain.

Several scents hit my nose at once as I walked into the bar. I would define it as a concoction of perfume, insecurities, lust, desire and gluttony—everything about it was absolutely sinful and it made me feel alive.

"Iz! Iz!" Alex called my name from across the room and I flashed a polite smile in her direction; she was dressed very trendy in a red crop top, ripped up leggings strappy high heels and a gray infinity scarf that framed her messy bun perfectly. As I walked up to her I could tell that she had already been drinking—the smell of raspberry flavored vodka made her blood smell even more intoxicating.

"Looks like you started without me." I said playfully

"Yeah, well it's been a long week. Hey Red," she signaled towards the bartender that she obviously knew, considering she had called him by what I guessed was a nickname, "can you get my new friend here 5 shots of tequila; she needs to prepare in advance for all the bullshit Professor A-hole is going to give her."

If there's one thing I love more than human blood, it's human blood with alcohol… the taste is invigorating and I cannot wait to feel that buzz. "Tequila? What do you know about tequila?" I questioned.

"I know that if you drink enough of it things can get pretty wild." She stood up and pushed her body up against mine, "come on, Iz" she whispered, "I want to see how wild you can get." Her heartbeat was steady and definite while she said all of this and that peaked my interest to a height that it had not reached in a long time.

The bartender cleared his throat as he poured out five shots of tequila and without second thought I let each shot slide down my throat, you have no idea just how wild this night could get.

"WOOOOO! Yes! That is what the fuck I am talking about! More shots Red, keep them coming."

This was going to be a beautiful night and I was going to have a succulent meal all to myself.

As the time passed I noticed that Alex's eyes began to roam a little longer than they should have, her touches turned into caresses and her words turned into hushed whispers. She was becoming putty in my hands and I was ready to rip into her body with no remorse.

"Let's go for a walk, you're toasted. I think you need to sober up." I said to her after about her fifth round of shots.

She drunkenly giggled, "Hey missy, you've had about as much shots as me. How is it that you're all perfect and I'm that one drunk girl at the bar."

I grabbed her hand and steered her toward the door, "Let's just say I have a very high tolerance."

"If I didn't know any better I'd say you were trying to take advantage of me."

"Oh, really?" I asked

"But I might actually like it;" She winked at me and for the first time that night I genuinely laughed, "I'll go outside with you on one condition."

"What's that?" I asked.

"I want you to take those beautiful lips of yours and plant one on me under the stars."

"I've never been one to kiss someone I've just met." I teased.

"It's ok, I don't kiss and tell." She whispered. You won't be able to tell anyone by the time I'm done with you.

On we got into the parking lot it didn't take long for her fingers to trail from my gloved hands to the hair on the back of my neck. Her touch made me impatient so we only made it to the back row of the empty parking lot before I pushed her up against the side of a random car.

"So about that kiss…" she smiled gullibly and I learned in to give her what she was asking for. As soon as my lips touched hers she sighed and I could hear her heart beat increasing as she pulled me closer. I pulled away from her for a moment and licked my lips before trailing my lips from her mouth to the space between her neck and her collar bone. My teeth grazed her neck and she slid her hands down to my thighs before I sunk my teeth into her. She gasped and I was happy that she wasn't a screamer because her blood was like a sweet nectar and I wanted nothing more than to get lost in this moment. Kill! Kill! KILL! The beast inside me screamed, but I knew better. I had to stop before I had a problem on my hands that I did not want to deal with. I sucked her blood clean of my venom and then licked the wound before looking into her eyes. "We had a great night; you don't remember much because you drunk too much. I kissed you under the stars like you asked and we decided that I would call you a cab—you are very bashful about this moment, but you are happy it happened" I thought about out how this scenario would work scene by scene and silently communicated it to her mind before wrapping the scarf around her already fading would and pulling her leather jacket tighter around her shoulders.

"That was ummm… some kiss." She said as If that was all the happened. Thank you for this power, James. Her cheeks turned red and I touched the side of her face with my gloved fingertips.

"Yeah," I said softly, "Let's get you home though, alright?" I flashed her one last dazzling smile so she wouldn't find it weird that I wanted her to go home. She walked beside me to the front of the club and I called her a cab.

Once Lexi was safely in the cab I smiled and walked out of the parking lot, my plan went well and I wanted nothing more than to go back to the motel and think about this moment. As I reached the corner of the parking lot I checked out my surroundings before taking off at full speed. I knew that If I ran fast enough no one would see me, but just to be sure I ran in the direction that was mostly wooded. I stopped one block from the motel and power-walked the rest of the way. I had decided that I would shower and lay down and think. I can't sleep anymore, so I might as well have a moment to close my eyes.

I slid the key into the slot and swung open the door when a scent that was not my own hit me in the face. Instantly I got defensive—someone had been in my space and I knew they we're not human. I entered the room, my body already poised for a fight before I heard him speak.

"Did you forget my scent already?"

For a second I felt my knees go weak and I closed my eyes. My mind must be playing fucking tricks on me.

"I told you that I would find you."

I opened my eyes to find him standing there, looking exactly like my memories, "Edward."

Oh, how I love cliff hangers….
