Chapter 4:

Our Feelings Are the Same

Kara had woken up the next day feeling a little tired still. She didn't get much sleep last
night. She kept thinking about what she had told Inoue the night before.
"I'm really sorry Inoue-chan. I really didn't mean to hurt you." She said outloud as she
had gotten dressed. "I'm leaving now!" Kara yelled as she walked out the door.
"See you after school!" Sakura yelled back as the front door closed.

Inoue had knocked on Kara's front door ten minutes later.
"Is Kara-chan ready? We were going to walk to school together." Inoue said.
"Inoue-chan. Kara had just left for school about ten minutes ago." Sakura said to her.
"Oh okay. Thanks for letting us know." Inoue said smiling.
"Sure," Sakura said watching Inoue and the others walk down the street.
"I wonder why she walked by herself?" Ichigo asked.
"She's had a lot on her mind recently." Inoue said looking a little sad. "With her parents
passing away and coming back home."
"That's true." Tatsuki said.

Everyone arrived at school just before the bell rang.
Ichigo looked in the classroom and saw Kara sitting in her desk.
"Hey Kara," he said walking up to her.
"Hi," Kara said back.
"You okay? You look a little pale." Ichigo said looking at her.
"I'm okay. I just didn't sleep well last night. I've had a lot on my mind." She said
smiling at him.
"I've fallen in love with Ichigo. I'm really sorry." Inoue looked towards Kara with sad
eyes as she remembered what Kara told her last night.
The rest of the day had seemed to pass by fast. By the end of the school day. Kara had
begun to feel herself becoming feverish. But she ignored it as she had walked home with
everyone else.

"I forgot." Inoue said all of a sudden.
"What?" Kara asked looking at her.
"I gotta go shopping for dinner tonight." Inoue said back. "Tatsuki-chan can help me with
it." Inoue said smiling at Kara.
"Chad and Ishida can help us out," Tatsuki said back.
All of a sudden they had left.
"That was weird." Ichigo paused then said, "even for Inoue."
"I get the feeling it was set up." Kara said laughing.
"I guess now would be the best time to let you know." Ichigo said as they walked passed some
trees.
"Let me know what?" Kara asked looking at him.
Ichigo had placed one hand on each side of her. He leaned forward as he whispered in her
ear. "I'm in love with you Kara."
"Ichigo," Kara said as she placed her hand against his cheek. "I feel the same way." She
said smiling at him.
Ichigo had leaned down and pressed his lips against hers.
"It feels just like my dream from before. Only-"
Kara's thoughts were cut off as Ichigo slipped his tounge in and began teasing her. She
leaned in towards the kiss as she wrapped her hands around Ichigo's neck.
Ichigo smiled as he brought Kara's body closer to his.
Kara gasped as she felt how well her body fitted against his.
"Ichigo?" Kara paused then said looking at him. "I had a dream with you in it. I remember
kissing you. Were you really in my dream?" She paused then said looking at him, "your kiss
just now. It had felt just like it did then."
"Would you be angry if I told you I was really there?" Ichigo asked looking at her.
"No. I'd be more surprised then angry." Kara paused then said as she laid her head against
his chest. "But I'm happy." She said as tears fell from her eyes.
"I'm glad," Ichigo said as he embraced her.
Kara smiled as she heard his heartbeat.

Inoue and everyone else were watching from a distance.
"I'm glad for you Kara-chan." Inoue said smiling. "Shall we go now?"
"Yeah." Tatsuki, Ishida, and Chad said nodding their heads.
They had left the area and went to Inoue's house.

Ichigo and Kara had gone to his house.
"Hey Kara-chan," Yuzu said as she came out of the kitchen.
"Hi Yuzu." Kara said back.
"We're gonna be in my room. I don't want anyone bothering us." Ichigo paused then said as
he saw his dad in the doorway to his office, "we are only going to be doing our homework and
that's all. So don't start with the teasing."

Kara and Ichigo had sat down on his bed.
"Are you sure you're okay? You look a little worse than you did this morning at school."
Ichigo said looking at Kara.
"I'm okay." Kara said smiling. "I just feel a little cold for some reason."
Ichigo felt Kara's forhead thinking she might have a fever.
"Kara lay down. You have a fever." Ichigo paused then said, "you shouldn't have been in
school if you didn't feel well." He covered her up with a blanket and said, "I'll be back.
I'll get you some juice and asprin."
"Ichigo? What's wrong?" Yuzu asked as Ichigo almost walked into her.
"Kara's got a fever. So I'm going to get her juice and asprin." Ichigo said back.
Ichigo came back a few minutes later and placed the medicine and drink on his dresser.
He sat her up and had his hand against her back holding her up.
"Take this." He said placing the two asprin in her mouth and handed her the juice.
She had then laid down and began to fall asleep.
Ichigo had then laid down next to her and wrapped his arms around her. To try and keep her
warm and bring her fever down.

"Ichigo?! You couldn't have already gone that far?!" His dad asked teasing as he stood in
his doorway.
"Shut up old man. I'm only laying with her like this to help bring her fever down. I said
no teasing." Ichigo said as he threw a shoe at his dad.
"I came up here to tell you something about what you asked me the other night." Isshin said
in a serious tone.
Ichigo had gotten up and felt Kara's forhead with his own. "Her fever's gone down. That's
good. I wonder if she was outside in the rain yesterday?" He asked outloud as he left with
his father.

"It was a hallow that killed them." Isshin said in his office.
Ichigo curled his fist angrily as he asked, "do you know what one killed them?"
"No. But the marks on their bodies are clearly from a Hollow."
"I'll kill it when I find it." Ichigo said angrily. "Could Sakura be in danger? Kara is
living with her right now."
"I don't know."

Kara had woken up and sat up in Ichigo's bed. She wondered where he went. She had gotten
out of his bed as soon as he walked back in his room.
"Are you feeling okay?" Ichigo asked as he closed his door behind him.
"I'm feeling better than I was before. Thanks Ichigo. I'm sorry for making you worry."
Kara said bowing towards him.
"As long as you're alright. I'm happy." Ichigo paused then asked, "Kara? How would you
like to stay here for the next few nights? I had asked my dad to look up some information
about what happened to your parents."
"What do you mean?" Kara asked. "Is my aunt going to be in danger?"
"That's why I was thinking if it would be okay for you to stay here. My dad can set up a
spare room for you and your aunt."
"I don't mind staying over here. But will it be safe for Sakura?"
"Do you remember what I said by the tree where I kissed you?"
"You were really in my dream." Kara said back.
"I was able to do that because. I have a special job." Ichigo paused then said, "I'm a
shinigami. I had sworn to my Dad. Because he is also one. That I would find the monster
who killed your parents and kill it."
"Hearing you say that. Makes me worry a little less about my aunt. But worry more over
you." Kara said looking at him.
"I'll be fine." Ichigo said as he placed his hand against her cheek as he bent down and
cliamed her lips in a passionate kiss. Ichigo reached his other hand behind him and locked
his door. He smiled as he said, "I have wanted to kiss you for so long Kara." All of a
sudden he picked her up and carried her over to his bed. He had laid down on the bed
bringing Kara on top of him. They had continued kissing.
Ichigo looked towards his door as he heard someone trying to open it.
"I said I didn't want anyone bothering us." He said sitting up.
"Kara-chan's aunt is on the phone." Karin said outside his door.
"Just a minute." Ichigo said getting up and went to unlock the door.
"Hello?" Kara asked as she was handed the phone.. "Hi Sakura." A few minutes later Kara
said, "so you'll be coming over here too. And we'll be staying over here for a while as
well. Okay. I'll let Ichigo and everyone know. I'll see you when you come by." Kara said
as she hung up the phone.
"I'll let Yuzu know to set up an extra room for you and your aunt." Karin said as she left.
"Okay." Kara said smiling back.
"I'm glad you'll be staying here for the next few days." Ichigo said wrapping his arms
around her.
"It should make it easier to protect everyone, right?" Kara asked.
"Yeah," Ichigo said bending down and kissed her.
