Ok i know it's been forever and i\m sooo sorry but my life is in quite a rush right now, i promise i'll try to post more often but that'll have to wait too (I said i'm sorry dont judge meh!) i'm going out on a cruise and i'm leaving on Friday so i made a promisse to myself that i was going to post the next chapter of all my 3 fanfics and surprisingly i did it yayyy. with no more here is Ch. 4 and have a good easter vacations everyone ^^

CHAPTER FOUR

INTERROGATION

the first thing he knew after waking up was that he couldn't move, his hands had been tied behind him and the chair he was in had been secured to the floor, second thing was that he couldn't see a thing, everything was dark except for an eerie red glow that looked like it was coming from beneath the ground in front of him, he really didn't knew what was going on

KITT secretly was anxious to start the interrogation, Clara was inside him while the rest stayed in one of the nearest camera rooms. once KITT detected that Gennaro was awake he informed everyone that he was going to start. this was going to be fun

Franco was starting to freak out by now, he was trapped and couldn't see a thing, then a red light came on right in front of him, it kept whooshing back and forth which didn't help his uneasiness at all, then it spoke

"Franco Di'Gennaro, where are Sarah and Michael Knight?" the voice questioned

"i don't know who you are talking about" he lied easily not even thinking about it, years of habit where responsible for that

everyone knew where they where but still they needed a confirmation that they where still there besides it would take one step closer to making Franco do what they needed him to do. to KITT it actually looked like he was saying the truth, but along with the fact that he had been with the man as well as the two tiny spikes on the men's vitals detected by Clara

"i say you ask him again KITT, why don't you try a different approach?"

"i don't see why not" he turned back to Franco "I'm going to ask one more time" he started before silently transforming to Attack mode which to Franco due to the complete darkness of the place only looked like the red light moved forward and a bit down as well as the red light on the floor grew more intense. KITT then activated the room's lights on their dimmest position only letting the man see an outline of the black car "...where are Sarah and Michael Knight!" he finished. you didn't need an expert to notice that as soon as KITT transformed Franco turned considerably more anxious, his vitals spiking,

"nice move KITT"

the car didn't answer...

okay he was starting to get scared, first the red light moved and now a faint light came on allowing him to see the outline of whatever was in front of him

"Im not very pleased with what you have been doing to them nor what you did to me"

"I have not done anything to you!"

"think again" he said as he turned his headlights on, blinding Franco for a second before he turned back to look at him

"you...are the Mustang"

"now i want you to tell me where are they" he said turning on his engine releasing a menacing growl at the man

"you should now, after all you where there already"

"do you think that if i was sure that they are there Ill just go and leave you here with an angry AI" she said turning around and slowly walking away, as soon as she finished that sentence KITT let out a deep growl as he moved a bit closer to Franco

both KITT and Clara noticed that when Zoe started to leave and KITT revved his engine Gennaro's vitals spiked showing that he was nervous. they had him

"wait!" he shouted making KITT stop and Zoe turn to look at him, the only thing that could be heard was the low rumble of KITT's engine "...Ill go see if i can help with taking out some more information from Franco" she said opening the door of the Shelby

*somewhere in Arizona*

he had been patiently waiting for nearly two hours, the man he was supposed to meet should've arrived almost an hour ago. tired of waiting he decided to go but on his way out of the state he was met by a strange scene, there was broken glass on the floor as well as some metal, four of the nearest street lamps where off and on the wall of the building in front of him was a car, dented and with smoke pouring out of the hood. after analyzing the car he found that it was the car his man was driving, making a deeper scan he detected something that nearly made him blow up what was left of the car with anger, instead he focused on finding a trace and once that was done he sped off towards the highway, his brother was really going to pay for this

*SSC*

Dan had to do most of the interrogation while Billy, feeling a little out pf place, stayed taking note of every single thing Franco said, after another hour they where done and had a plan (sort of) to take Mike and Sarah out and Franco was the main piece of it

while all the interrogation was going on KITT stayed thinking about what happened to him just moments ago, it was like he had partially lost control of himself, the only thing he felt was anger and the rest was almost like automatic, he wasn't thinking about what he was doing. 'maybe it's just a anomaly...' he thought as he turned his attention ouside to Billy who was now trying to fix a satelito on the warehouse's location, that done they focused on reviewing their plan

"okay so...Billy, you and Daniel are going to stay here, you are going to be our eyes and ears to whatever it's going on around the building. Jenny, you Mary, Clara and i are going to go inside with KITT who is going to be disguised as what was Franco's car to get passt the guards, once inside KITT will transoform back into his normal self and that is when all hell is going to break loose. there is where Billy and Dan are going to help us, i'm going to stay with KITT trying to distract the guards while you go find your parents, once you find them notify KITT, he'll go find you to pick all four. KITT once you receive their signal call the police, once the police arrives and we make sure they take down Franco and his gang we can go and it's mission accomplished. any doubts?" Zoe finished with a smile

"i think it's pretty straight forward" Clara added

"pretty much yeah, the key is to get in and out as soon as possible"

"well then what are we waiting for?" Jenny said

"we'll go out tomorrow first thing in the morning, i believe KITT deserved some rest after all he has done in the past days" Zoe added looking at the Shelby

"i appreciate your concern Zoe, i think a few hours of recharge would be very much welcome"

"Granted KITT, and i think we all should go to get OUR hours of sleep as well"

"It, it was like a never ending corridor

"Michael!" he called out to him, still trying to get closed to them

"KITT!" he shouted again "KITT!...KITT!"

"KITT wake up!" Zoe shouted hitting the AIs hood for the fifth time now. KITT's engine let out a growl as his scanner came back on, he sped forwards a few meters before stopping mere inches away from the computer desks in front of him

"KITT what happened?" Jenny asked him as KITT slowly rolled back to his place without saying a word "KITT are you all right?, you where almost shouting dad's name"

"I...I saw Michael and Sarah. i was on the room where they kept me for the time i was there, at first i was alone but then Mike and Sarah appeared, not long after that another door opened and guards started to fill the room, Michael called me and i tried moving towards them but no matter how fast i accelerated because even i was moving, a the same time i wasn't, i could only see the guards surrounding them. next thing i know i'm moving towards the computer desk"

"you...had a nightmare?" Dan said a bit confused

"is that even possible?" Mary asked looking at Billy and Zoe

"it shouldn't be" Billy said "but it does make sense"

"well it's just past four, we still have at least another three hours of sleep left before we have to go out to Arizona" Clara said

"okay" all answered

"KITT...are you sure you'll be okay?" Jenny asked

"Ill be back"

"okay but be careful"

"i will" he said turning on his gimble and driving out of the SSC

Something felt off, not only had his dream aggravated the uneasiness he felt about the whole situation but there was something else but he couldn't quite put a finger on it just yet. Just under three kilometers away from the SSC he was so immersed on his own thoughts that he failed to see a familiar black Mustang following him

His tracking had taken more that he had expected it to but at the end he finally reached his destination, it was a big airplane hangar, he was careful enough to stay out of any camera or scanner range in the building but he was close enough to be able to scan the building, on top there was really nothing out of the ordinary, under it however, it was a whole different story. Amongst the many technical equipment he was able to detect his cursed brother's signal, and to his luck just then KITT exited the building and to make things better he was alone. Carefully as to not being detected he pulled away and started following his brother getting closer to him each time, something must have had his processor very occupied because even he was now only a car's length behind him, he still hadn't acknowledge his presence, taking that to his advantage he decided to make his move

Of all the things in the world that he could be possibly thinking about at the time KARR wasn't really on top of the list, that is why being thrown off the road startled him the way it did. Once he had stopped spinning he turned around to face the five meter tall monster that he happened to call brother

"KARR?, what are you doing here?"

"I came to claim what is mine!"

"He is not here KARR, go away before it's too late"

"I was not talking about Michael Knight!" He said as he charged KITT who barely had a chance to dodge the blow "i have better plans, i know where your precious driver and the tech are...but before i go for them there is something else i have to do" he finished loading his missiles and aiming at KITT who in response transformed to his Attack mode and loaded his missiles as well. Both AIs where now at a standstill waiting to see who would make the first move and 'strangely' it was KARR who did so, and KITT responded by launching one of his missiles causing both missiles to crash creating a huge explosion followed by a thick cloud of smoke. Silence was the only thing that could be heard KITT was sitting patiently waiting for the smoke to dissipate but before he could do anything, another missile shot out of the thick cloud of smoke hitting him point blank on his scanner, throwing him backwards and causing him to flip several times.

Once he had sopped he checked himself, a few systems where out that's for sure but he was still good enough to oppose some resistance, or at least that was his plan until he saw that he had fallen on a ditch and to make things worst, his turbo boost was one of the damaged systems as well as his communications. he looked up, the ditch was some good six meters deep and from the top of the ditch KARR was starting to come closer, considering his current situation he decided that playing possum would be the best thing to do at the time so he shut off his scanner and heated his engine letting out some of the water he had to produce some steam, he let out all the air of his left front tire until it was completely flat and to top it all he used his nano skin to make the paint on his hood nearest to his scanner appear burned, all that in a matter of seconds and just before KARR reached the edge of the ditch he lowered his signal to it's lowest range. the only thing he could do now was just wait and hope for the best

he had used the smoke to his advantage and after a while he used his infrared to locate KITT and to his surprise his missile had hit him right on the scanner, throwing him into a ditch that was some distance away from the road, after a minute of processing what had happened he started to approach the ditch to see te results of his work, he knew that his brother's weakest spot and his for that matter was the scanner, so making a clean hit must have taken it's tow. he looked down to see that the results where better than he could have possibly imagined, it didn't look good at all, smoke pouring out of the hood, bent spoiler, one flat tire, scanner off and burned paint, scratches and dents all over the car...had he finally been able to manage what he had tried to do all this time and without even trying?...not a single hit received from his opponent...oh this was going to be a good day. just as a safety measure he scanned the shell of the damaged Mustang, when no signal came back he turned around, went back to his normal mode and headed to the hangar KITT had came out of with a plan in mind

morning. everyone was steadily starting to wake up and head out, KITT was in his place on the gimble in recharge mode so nobody paid it much attention, considering how his night had been ruined a few hours ago with that nightmare, after everyone was ready and the plan was reviewed Dan, Zoe and Billy went to get Franco while Mary, Clara and Jenny stayed doing the rest of the pre launch sequence

"Hey KITT time to wake up we are leaving in ten" she said giving the Shelby a pat right above the scanner which came on seconds later but didn't say a thing "hey are you okay?" she asked but received no answer, after a few more seconds some text appeared in yellow letters on his hood

"I don't want to talk"

"oh umm. okay then...hey Ill try to follow KARR. Dan, if they find KITT help them fix whatever needs to be fixed in him" Zoe finished

"hey and what about us?" Jenny asked referring to her and Clara

"if KITT is good enough to go out i want you to go to Arizona as fast as possible and await instructions understood?"

"okay" both answered as Zoe turned around and headed to get her car

It had been almost four hours since he got stuck in the ditch. He had been trying to fix his Turbo boost for the first two but then he realized he would be needing help from either Billy, Zoe or Dan. He then tried to use his grappling hook to pull himself out but it turns out that very few thing in the dessert are strong enough to support a nearly two ton car, first the tree broke, then the rock ended being pulled across the dessert floor and the dirt and little roots of the floor simply where not strong enough. Then he found a bigger tree, much older and probably stronger than the last, it was farther away, but it was his only hope.

Aiming his grappling hook higher and with more strength he managed to get a hold of the tree, slowly he started to winch himself out, after twenty minutes he was finally free and after going back to his normal mode he set off towards the SSC

Billy, Dan and Mary where starting to go crazy trying to find KITT, it looked like he had disappeared from the face of the earth. after almost three hours of searching the perimeter alarm went off

"Guys is that KITT?" Jenny asked

"we don't know, we have to wait until it enters" seconds later the door opened and a dirt covered Mustang entered

"KITT what in the world happened to you?!" Jenny, Mary and Clara asked simultaneously

"i faced KARR" was the plain answer

"KITT do you need anything to be fixed?" Billy asked

"as a matter of fact i do, a few of my system are damaged but it shouldn't take long to fix them"

"okay, Dan and i are going to start, as soon as we are done you Jenny and Clara are going of towards Arizona to meet Zoe, she was following KARR so once there we hope to start the plan we mentioned earlier"

"but what about KARR?" Jenny asked

"well i guess we have to count him as one more of the guys KITT has to deal with while you look for your parents"

"but it's KARR!"

"i know" Billy said before going off to get some tools he was going to need. this was going to be one tough rescue to accomplish
