Well let's skip the pleasantries and get right to the story! Chapter 4 coming at cha! (Also if you are reading this and are confused it's probably because you haven't read my re-vamped chapters, and so you should probably go do that…)

Let's Dance to Joy Division

Let's dance to joy division,
And celebrate the irony,
Everything is going wrong,
But we're so happy,
Let's dance to joy division,
And raise our glass to the ceiling,
'Cause this could all go so wrong,
But we're so happy,
Yeah we're so happy.

RainySwordsman- Hey, so how was ur first day o' school?

DynamiteStorm- its none of your fucking business, y do u care anyways?

RainySwordsman- hahaha! Dont be so moody, its perfectly normal if Im curious about how my friends first day of school went. How is the place? Nezu still an ass?

DynamiteStorm- I don't know wat gave u the impression that we were friends, but if u actually bothered to show up at school maybe u would know, I bet ur grades suck ass like the pipsqueaks too.

RainySwordsman- Maa maa, u know I have my baseball tournaments. And pipsqueak? Did you make a friend?!

DynamiteStorm- Its none of your damn business you baseball freak! And u know u cant keep doing ur stupid baseball and the band. Ur going to have to choose eventually.

RainySwordsman- well until then y cant I just enjoy the best of both worlds right? Anyways Ive gotta go dad needs some help with the shop before I go to school. See ya later.

DynamiteStorm- whatever.

Tsuna rubbed at his eyes, he hadn't gotten much sleep the night before because his father had found his test and decided to punish him for his stupidity. Honestly, it really was a dumb move to not throw the test away before he got home. He rubbed at the fresh bruises on his torso. Tsuna groaned. He really was going to have to find a tutor or else.

"Sawada! Pay attention!"

Tsuna gave Nezu a bleary glare.

"Okay class, now that I have everyone's attention," insert glare here, "There is going to be an exam next Friday marking the end of the first quarter. Now I know you all are looking forward to break so make sure you pass this exam so you don't have to spend it with me."

Tsuna's eyes widened, oh crap, next Friday? What was today, Monday? So, that means he had 11 days to prepare. He was already failing this class, and an exam would be the perfect chance to either barely scrape by, or fail this class with an even more unbelievably low grade! Plus he sure as hell didn't want to spend his break at school with Nezu! He seriously needed to invest in finding a tutor, and soon.

"Now, as I was saying earlier-"

BAM.

Nezu was interrupted by the door sliding open.

"What the-?"

Gokudera walked into the classroom a dark scowl on his face, and following behind him was Yamamoto Takeshi grinning without a care in the world.

Gokudera may have only been at the school for a week or two but he already had a fourth of the schools girl population fawning over him and devoting themselves to his fan club. Gokudera sure as hell didn't care, he just thought they were all pesky women.

Yamamoto, even though he'd been absent a lot lately because of baseball, had been at the school much longer and there wasn't a girl alive who denied she thought he was cute. Being the easy-going and light hearted person he was, Yamamoto mainly thought it was just amusing how the girls were so infatuated with him without ever really knowing him.

Tsuna, a surprisingly observant person, almost expected the boys fan girls to break out into fights over which boy was better, but instead they seemed to have united under a common interest.

"Oh. My. God."

"Do you see it too?"

"I never would have thought, but for some reason it just DOES."

"Ohmygoshohmygosh! We are so starting a fan club for this!"

Tsuna stared wide-eyed at the girls who were whispering excitedly. He looked over to Hana, who he deemed reasonably sane, and asked her what the heck the other girls were talking about.

"Huh, really Sawada I thought it was obvious. They have decided that Gokudera and Yamamoto-kun would be cute together and I guess have decided to create a fan club that "ships" them together."

Hana rolled her eyes. Tsuna realizing what Hana had just said blushed a bright cherry red.

"D-do you think that?"

Tsuna asked the girl.

Hana looked at him in surprise, a light blush dusting her face.

"What?"

She laughed and gave Tsuna a friendly smile.

"Really Sawada, you shouldn't lump me in with those other immature girls."

Mr. Nezu had decided that he'd let the class talk long enough.

"ALRIGHT, that is quite enough! Gokudera, Yamamoto, you are late! Detention after school! Now take your seats!"

Gokudera glared at Nezu and opened his mouth to let loose a string of profanities but Yamamoto just put a hand on his shoulder. The girls held their breath.

"Maa maa Hayato, let's just take our seats before we get into more trouble."

A few girls gasped while frantically whispering.

"D-did you hear that?! He called him by his first name!"

"OMG his first name is Hayato? That's so perfect!"

Gokudera slapped Yamamoto's hand away and skulked back to his seat all the while threatening to kill Yamamoto if he ever even thought his name again.

Tsuna kept his head down as Gokudera passed. They'd almost been on friendly terms ever since drama and at times they really did seem like friends, but Tsuna still wasn't sure if Gokudera thought of him like that.

"Pipsqueak."

Tsuna looked up in surprise at Gokudera only to find that he'd already sat down and in his place was Yamamoto who looked as equally surprised as Tsuna that Gokudera had acknowledged him. Given he did say "pipsqueak" but it was definitely a step-up from "dead last."

A few of the fan girls had noticed the swift interaction between the three boys and the whispers had grown to a slight frenzy and words like "love triangle" and "bottom" were tossed around. Tsuna didn't even care as a small smile crept on to his face, and for once the rest of class didn't seem to pass by so slowly.

"So that's the kid?! The kid you're friends with?!"

Yamamoto couldn't believe that someone as timid and shy as Sawada could befriend his angry and explosive friend.

"We're not friends! Now would you just shut up and eat your lunch you baseball freak?!"

Well Yamamoto sure hadn't missed his fiery friends temper.

"Maa maa, what would the girls think if they knew you were so mean Hayato-kuuuun?"

Yamamoto snickered as he dodged a pair of flying chopsticks. Then he realized that those were his chopsticks Gokudera had just thrown and he sighed in defeat.

"Awww, now I have to go get another pair from the cafeteria."

He pretended to pout as Gokudera gave him a look that said "eat shit." Sighing he stood up and dusted off his pants. He really did need chopsticks.

Strolling down the corridor Yamamoto was paused in his tracks when he heard a muffled cry from the classroom he'd just passed. Backing up a bit, he peeked inside the room only to see the backs of three large brutes. One of those brutes happened to be Mochida senpai. Yamamoto knew he had a reputation for picking on other students who were weaker than he was, and just generally being a prick.

Damn, if only he had his bat with him, Yamamoto thought bitterly, then he could just scare the crap out of the bastards and walk away without hurting anyone. Oh well. Chopsticks forgotten, Yamamoto strolled into the classroom, and he slammed his fist on the nearest desk to get their attention. It worked, and three startled idiots turned around guilty looks on their faces before they realized who it was.

"Oh, Yamamoto, it's just you."

Brute number one said.

Yamamoto gave his signature smile.

"Hm, and what are you three lovely people doing here during lunch break?"

Brute number two answered this time.

"Oh just bea-"

Mochida jabbed brute number two in the ribs before he could finish and gave him an icy smile.

"Why, we were just going over some work before our next class."

Ah, and the snake rears his ugly head Yamamoto thought to himself, his smile morphing into something more akin to a grimace. He craned his head over the brutes and noticed a bag, in front of the large metal cabinet, on the ground with papers falling out of it. One of those papers happened to be a test, and the grade was a, he strained his neck a bit farther, a 27.

Well Yamamoto only knew one person who did as bad as he did on tests, and that was Sawada… Gokudera's new friend. Okay, well say goodbye to nice Yamamoto bastards. His grimace turned into a full on scowl and he scoffed loudly.

"So by that you mean beating on helpless kids."

Yamamoto straightened to his full height and glared at Mochida.

"I don't know what on Earth you mean by that Yamamoto-kun."

Mochida smiled, and Yamamoto wanted to clock the guy, fed up with this jerks lies.

"Quit the crap Mochida, I know that's Sawada's stuff on the ground."

Mochida finally let the smile slide off of his face, a bored expression etching itself onto his features instead.

"Huuh kids these days are no fun. I saw the brat talking to Kyoko during lunch so I decided to teach him a little lesson. I was going to let him out after school ended. Scouts honor."

Mochida gave a fake salute and smirked at Yamamoto.

"Well you've had your sick fun so move aside."

Yamamoto said moving towards the cabinet.

"Ah, ah, ah."

Mochida jeered waving a finger and moving to block Yamamoto.

"What would be fun about letting him go? I can think of so many other fun things to do before that."

Mochida sneered a twisted smile carved onto his face.

"You could even join us Yamamoto-kun."

Yamamoto stared in disgust at Mochida before growling.

"Or I could just do this."

Then he punched Mochida point blank. It took the other brutes a few seconds to catch on that their leader was being attacked and probably needed help, which was all Yamamoto needed to punch Mochida's lights out and round on the two brutes.

"Ah, two against one? That's hardly fair. For you."

The brutes looked at each in confusion before their heads were smashed together and they both fell unconscious in a tangle of limbs to the ground.

"Heh that was easy, so much for fearsome kendo captain Mochida, peh."

Yamamoto said victoriously before remembering why he'd knocked these brutes out in the first time.

"Oh Sawada, right!"

Striding over to the cabinet Yamamoto yanked open the door. He didn't know what he was expecting, maybe a scared and cowering Sawada, but what he did find was not what he was expecting. Instead an outraged Sawada was halfway through ripping his bounds with his teeth, gag hanging loosely from his neck, and a fierce anger in his eyes that almost made them appear a burning golden brown. Those eyes knew pain and terror, and they looked ready to kill. He took a half step back when Sawada turned those eyes on him. Both boys were tense before Sawada relaxed and gave a sigh of relief, his eye softening to their normal chocolaty brown.

"Oh it's just you Yamamoto-san."

Sawada's voice was soft and surprisingly steady after having just been bound and gagged Yamamoto noticed with respect. In fact everything about Sawada in the last 60 seconds had made Yamamoto respect him more, and deep down he had to admit those eyes had intimidated him for a moment. And they'd also reminded him of what he'd looked like before he'd found his friends…

"Hey Sawada."

He said recovering from his shock.

"Um, Yamamoto-san?"

"Hm?"

"Could you help me with these? I can't quite get this last knot."

Yamamoto blinked and then smiled.

"Of course!"

5 minutes later both boys were walking down the hallway, one looking rather uncomfortable and the other with a bright grin on his face.

"Um, Yamamoto-san?"

"Yes? And you don't have to call me Yamamoto-san, Takeshi is fine honestly."

Tsuna blinked wide eyes and swallowed nervously.

"Oh, um well Ta-Tak, Yamamoto-kun, not that I really mind or anything, but why are you still with me?"

Tsuna's voice was hesitant and he looked at Yamamoto with nervous eyes. His eyes now were so different from the ones he'd had earlier… Hm I wonder what it would take to make him use those eyes again… Yamamoto snapped out of his daze when Tsuna poked his shoulder lightly.

"Oh right, well quite simply I think you're interesting, and I wouldn't want those brutes to come back and get cha right after I finished saving you."

Yamamoto gave Tsuna an ear splitting grin. Tsuna blushed in return.

"Oh. Well it's okay I'm used to those sorts of things."

Yamamoto watched as a wave of fear and terror passed over the boy's face and he couldn't but wonder what he was thinking about. An awkward silence hung in the air and Yamamoto could just hear the gay babies crying. Surprisingly Tsuna was the first to break the heavy silence that had ensued.

"You, think I'm interesting?"

He asked peaking at Yamamoto. Yamamoto nodded and resumed smiling.

"Oh."

Tsuna decided that Yamamoto's interest wasn't anything to worry about and relaxed a bit.

"Say Tsuna, so I saw your test, you know the 27 one, and I was wondering if you were gonna get a tutor for the exam next week?"

Yamamoto was rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.

"Um well, I've thought about it, but I don't know, why do you ask?"

Tsuna replied a troubled expression clouding his face.

"Eh, just that I could really use a tutor too, hahaha."

Yamamoto chuckled self-consciously. Then a thought struck Tsuna.

"Hey, isn't Gokudera like a genius? Do you think he'd tutor us?"

Yamamoto looked at Tsuna then a dark expression coming over his face.

"If you're smart you'll never ever bring anything of the sort up again. If you think he's harsh now than you don't ever want to see him when he's trying to explain an equation to you for the fifth time."

Yamamoto stared at Tsuna with wide eyes before they both chuckled.

"He is harsh isn't he."

Tsuna smiled fondly before checking his watch.

"Well, looks like we only have a few minutes left of lunch, so I guess we should head back to class."

Yamamoto was mid nod before he realized what that meant.

"Oh crap! Speak of the devil! Gokudera's gonna kill me! Well see you later Tsuna!"

Yamamoto gave a cheery wave before sprinting off for the rooftop where he'd been eating lunch with Gokudera.

Tsuna sat down in his seat letting out a long sigh and trying to relax a bit. His moment of peace was interrupted by Hana and Kyoko.

"Oh, Tsuna-kun! Are you alright? I saw Mochida senpai drag you out of class earlier!"

Kyoko asked a pretty blush dusting her face. Tsuna thought the girl was nice, but he didn't really want to talk to anyone right now, his head was starting to pound. Luckily he didn't have to because Hana answered for him.

"I think he's fine Kyoko, you don't need to worry so much, you'll get wrinkles."

Tsuna nodded in agreement with Hana before putting his head down on his desk, the cool surface felt nice. He tried to block out the sounds of the two girls chatting until a few words piqued his attention and he sat up suddenly aware. Kyoko was asking Hana to review over her homework. Hana was helping her correct a few errors. Kyoko was laughing about how smart Hana was and that she should share with the rest of the students. Then Tsuna's face broke out into a grin.

"Kurokawa-san!" He called walking over to the two girls. Hana raised an eyebrow and turned to face him.

"Yes Sawada?"

Tsuna, suddenly finding himself with her full attention, felt his momentary confidence slip away and a wave of nerves crashed over him.

"Um, I wanted to ask you a favor, it's kind of a big favor actually, uh."

Hana rolled her eyes at the boy's bashfulness.

"Just ask me Sawada. I'm sure it can't be that bad."

Tsuna swallowed and looked the girl straight in the eyes surprising the girl slightly with the determination shining in them.

"I need you to tutor me for the exam next Friday, I will repay you for your services however you want."

Tsuna finished bowing his head. Hana was quiet for a moment as she thought it over.

"Hm, well I don't see a reason to not tutor you, and if you're willing to compensate me for my time then I guess I can't refuse. BUT,"

She continued silencing the thank you that was forming on Tsuna's lips,

"I will have conditions, and I won't help any lazy and rude idiots, got it?"

Tsuna beamed.

"Absolutely Kurokawa Sensei!"

Hana felt a smile small sneak onto her face before she added on.

"And Tsuna, you can just call me Hana."

Tsuna smiled again before remembering something.

"Oh, and Hana-san, would it be okay if I were to maybe bring along a frie-"

Tsuna paused. A friend? Is that what Yamamoto was now? The brunette smiled softly.

"Would it be alright if I were to bring along a friend? He's not lazy, immature, or rude!"

Hana sighed, what was she getting herself into?! Oh screw it.

"Yes you can. But you and I start this afternoon understood? I need to find out where you're out and what we'll need to be covering."

Tsuna nodded relieved, Yamamoto had detention this afternoon anyways.

"Thanks again Hana-san!"

Hana just smiled wearily as he walked back to his seat in time for the bell to ring and a hoard of students come rushing into the room. His mood only got better when Yamamoto, who was sporting a decent sized bruise on his arm which was no doubt Gokudera's doing, grinned at him when he passed by and Gokudera himself gave him an acknowledging nod before taking his seat.

He'd have to let Yamamoto know the good news later, maybe when he was done with his detention. His face was starting to hurt from all this smiling he was doing but the grin on his face wouldn't budge. Tsuna decided even horrible Nezu and the beginning of the headache he could feel coming on couldn't dampen his mood.
