Bella's P.O.V (lunch)

I look up from my poem to see 5 insanely beautiful people. I only recognize one of them, Rosalie Hale. Her eyes flash to mine and I blush and look down. My heart flutters when I look up to see her still looking at me, her lips pulled up in a gentle smile. She's so beautiful. A throat clears and I look over to see the others staring at Rosalie and I in confusion. Rosalie speaks up "Guys, this is Bella. Bella this is my family."

I smile shyly at them and wave awkwardly, "HI."

"Hey." They all say, as they sit down.

"I'm Emmett." Says the big, burly guy, with short curly hair and dimples.

"I'm Jasper." Says the lean guy with mid length curly blonde hair.

"I'm Edward." Says the guy with gravity defying hair.

"I'm Alex." Says the girl with long brown hair.

I smile at them all. "It's a pleasure."

Rosalie smiles brightly at me and sits next to me. "What you got there?"

I look down to see my poem book wide open for all to see. My heart pounds faster in my hollow chest. I quickly close it and stuff it in my bag. "It's nothing."

Rosalie frowns slightly but doesn't question it. An awkward silence hovers in the air. All of us staring at one another until a girl comes to the table and sits down. She smiles brightly at me. "Hi, I'm Alice."

I stare at her for a while. Her ink black hair is in a perfect disarray of spikes. It looks cute on her. She has a small little button nose and gorgeous doe like eyes that are a swirling mixture of gold. She's mesmerizing. I just stare at her, drinking in the sight of her. I'm sure I look like a complete idiot. But I don't care. I smile shyly at her when she raises one of her perfect eyebrows and finally answer. "H-Hi. I'm Bella."

She smiles a beautifully bright smile. "What a fitting name."

I blush and look down at my hands and mutter, "yea right."

I look back up at the table and everyone's frowning as if they heard me. Before I can ask what's wrong the bell rings and they all stand up to leave, except Rosalie and Alice. I stand up and Alice flits to my side. I look at her questioningly and she laughs, "what class do you have next?"

I briefly look at my schedule. "Biology"

She smiles at me, and for a second I gape at her beauty. She locks her arm with mine. "So do I."

She drags me to the cafeteria doors and before we leave I look back at Rosalie, still at the table with a confused look on her face. I break away from Alice and jog back to her, she smiles at me. I stop in front of her and kiss her on the cheek. "See you later?"

She gapes at me and nods her head, her hand over her cheek. I smile at her and run back to Alice, who smirks and drags me to biology.

(in biology)

Alice has no lab partner so i sit next to her. She smiles at me and turns to the front of the class. I look at the board and groan. I've learned all about this in...phoenix..shudders..already. Alice smirks at me and raises an eyebrow at me. "What's wrong? Not a fan of Biology?"

I laugh awkwardly and shake my head. "No, I love Biology. It's just...I've learned this already."

She nods. "So have I." Then she turns to me and smiles brightly. "Wanna get outta here?"

I stare at her in shock. She wants me to leave with her?

Alice snaps her fingers in front of my face, worry etched on hers. "Bella?"

I break from the river of thoughts in my head and nod my head, smiling slightly. "Yea. Let's get outta here."

She smiles brightly at me and grabs my hand. Electricity flows into me, warming my body. Alice shivers and smirks. We both ignore it and head to the front of the class. Mr. Banner looks at us confusion in his eyes. "Yes, girls?"

Alice leans forward and whispers something in Mr. Banner's ear, he blushes and nods. "You both may be excused."

Alice smiles at him. "Thank you Mr. Banner."

The class gapes at us as Alice takes my hand and leads me out of the room. As soon as we're out of the room I look at Alice. "What did you say to him?"

She laughs. "I told him it was that time of the month."

I laugh and shake my head. "You're crazy Alice."

She smiles at me. "I know."

She drags me to the cafeteria and we step inside, giggling. We turn around and see the rest of the Cullens, all smiling except for Rosalie, who looks heartbroken. I gasp at the look on her face. She looks so broken and sad. I hate that look on her face. I run over to her and hug her as tight as I can. "What's wrong Rosie?"

She looks down at me and smiles slightly. "It's nothing to worry about Bella. I'm fine."

I burst into tears when i hear the lie in her voice. She's not ok. I know she isn't. I've used the 'Don't worry I'm fine' before. All the Cullens are surrounding me. Rosalie is hugging me and asking me something, but I can't hear her. All i can hear are my shallow intakes of breath, and the rapid beating of my heart. I'm getting dizzy. I can't see. Where am I? And then I pass out.

Rosalie's P.O.V (in the cafeteria)

It feels as if my heart has shattered. Edward told me about Alice and Bella skipping Biology together, holding hands. I can't believe that Bella likes Alice. I can't find it in myself to be angry with either of them, so long as they're happy, so long as Bella is happy; that's all that matters. Right?
