Let's go! Chapter 4 of Hazardous Time Travel!

Jenny: Buckle up because things start to get out of control!

Dx: And by that, we mean not at all…

(Silence)

Warriormon/Dragomon: TIMING!

(If that's not funny, I'm pretty sure I wasn't trying to be because that's a joke that doesn't get laughed at… right?)

Whatever…

LR: And now, let's get to our next 'commentators' meeting'!

Dx: Excuse me! That's my line, and further more it's MY club!

Ignoring that…

We get a few more episodes this go around and another Digivolution! I know how much you guys want this, so let's get it started!

Disclaimer: RDF1 doesn't own Digimon, please read other chapters for more details!

(Chapter Begin)

(Recap)

Around the same time, Rika had snuck out of the house to deal with Dokugumon, starting to understand what Brainiac meant with that message. Not having backup can suck sometimes, but she's used to it. Hopefully with Dokugumon, Kyuubimon can finally make her debut.

"Rika, stay back!" warned Renamon, moving to avoid another web.

"Kinda the point, Renamon, but don't tell me you're having problems," replied Rika, not helping herself with that quip.

"Problems, yes. In trouble yet…? No!" replied Renamon, using a Power Paw cut through a string before moving to a different tree.

"Let's even the playing field!" said Rika, moving to another tree to have SOME cover from Dokugumon.

DIGI-MODIFY: HYPER-CHIP ACTIVATE!

"CALL YOUR INNER STRENGTH!" shouted Rika, her D-Power glowing, "Lynxmon will help you!"

"Not a bad decision," replied Renamon, remembering who did it before, "WILD NAIL CLAWS!"

Renamon's hands became cloaked in fire, the Hyper-Chip boosting it, allowing her to slice through the webs with ease.

"NOT SO FAST! VENOM BLAST!" shouted Dokugumon, only for the attack to become enflamed as well, forcing to move to a different tree to escape harm, "POISON THREAD!"

Renamon nimbly dodged, but left herself open to the next one.

"VENOM BLAST!" called out Dokugumon, finally striking down Renamon, leaving her wounded, and poisoned.

"NO! YOU CANNOT LOSE HERE! I WON'T ALLOW IT!" cried out Rika, "GET BACK UP RENAMON! WE ARE A TEAM, AND WE CAN'T LOSE THIS ARACHID!"

Calumon, who happened to be wondering by, remembered what they talked about two nights ago, but they didn't say anything about not helping them out, and Renamon wasn't in the best shape, not that he knew anything about Rika's combat deck and it's lack of healing cards. He subconsciously activated his power and it combined with Rika's D-Power, unleashing the Power of Digivolution without the need of a card.

Voice: DIGIVOLUTION!

Renamon: RENAMON DIGIVOLVE TO…

Kyuubimon: KYUUBIMON!

"Now let's clarify one thing before you go," said Kyuubimon, "This is FOX territory, not Spider, so BUG OFF! FOX TAIL INFERNO!"

All the webbing was set aflame with this one attack, leaving Dokugumon defenseless for the next one.

"DRAGON WHEEL!" called out Kyuubimon, decimating the overgrown bug and loaded it's data.

The burning webbing cleared with the Digital Field, strangely leaving the trees with nary a scratch on them. This was extremely puzzling, but they left it for another day. Right now, they were happy that they were partners, true equals on this night.

(Recap End)

The next day, Takato headed out to see Guilmon again, only for Guilmon to give him a knowing look. Someone or something had made a viral field. This wasn't good as it was affecting the Barrier that Hypnos had erected and it was using Bio-Emerged Digimon as a power source. Unless something was done soon, more and more Digimon were going to Bio-Emerge more frequently, and even Hypnos couldn't stop them all. Hypnos needed to step up their defensive protocols and finish the new digital weapon soon, or else…

Yamaki was enjoying a nice walk through the city when the call came in. Someone misheard or misunderstood their information packet at the Government Office and wanted to get a first-hand account to get a clearer picture. Yamaki sighed, things never changed. He had to go through this every few months or so and it was getting tiresome. But, as long as he did this, Hypnos stayed on site and off the map, just how it should be.

Yamaki headed back to work and met up with the official that had trouble understanding their setup.

"Alright, I'm only going to ask this once, cause the rumors I'm hearing are vaguely disturbing," said the official, "What exactly does Hypnos do?"

"I'm gonna go slow, and one step at a time. If you can't understand what I'm saying after this, then ask for a transfer and forget all about it, okay?" replied Yamaki, a bit demeaning at that.

"That depends on what you tell me," responded the official with equal negativity.

"Very well then," said Yamaki, "There is this world and the world of the Internet: stock market, wireless networks, etc. This data network has formed into a world unto itself, directed by the trade of information. This 'Digital World' is where these Bio-forms known as 'Digimon' come from. With the right exchange of information, these creatures can 'Bio-Emerge' from their world to ours. With me so far…"

"Yes, I've got a kid that watches that ridiculous TV show based on that Digital World," replied the official, rather bored with what he ALREADY knew.

"It's not the same one," replied Yamaki, "This Digital World isn't the same as that one, it's not even connected. As for us, Hypnos, and what we do… we monitor the data that's being transmitted and track down any Bio-form using or following the data to reach this world. Most we've been able to turn back, but some have managed to get through to 'Bio-Emerge'. We've even managed to capture some and design a barrier preventing the more powerful monsters from entering this world."

"Yes, I noticed that barrier mentioned in the briefing, but that doesn't explain you mean by 'powerful monsters'. They're ALL powerful, every single one of them."

"And you claim to know something about the show that your kid watches," smirked Yamaki, "It goes like this, in the TV show it explains the levels of Digimon strength and just how strong a Digimon can get. The levels go from a Digital Egg to a Baby form, then to an In-Training, followed by a Rookie form. From there they can split off into a Champion form or Armor form. The Armor Digimon are more resilient than most Champions given their names and some of the most experienced Armor Digimon can rival Ultimate Level Digimon, which is the next stage after Champion. From there, it's a big jump to a Mega-Level, the final stable evolution the Digimon can make."

"Oh, right," said the official, trying to sound bored, but betrayed his realization as a sign of forgetting basic information.

"There are Digimon stronger than Mega, but they tend to be unstable and can't last too long in that form. Now, the barrier we have in place deters any Ultimate and Mega Level Digimon from entering this world, and for the most part, not many Champions or Armors have Bio-Emerged as well."

(AN1)

"Define: not many…"

"A few dozen have attempted, but only about 4 or 5 have been able to be successful. The concerning point is that we are unable to figure out what happened to some of the more recent Bio-Emerged Digimon because when we send a squad to investigate and maybe engage, there's nothing there. Sometimes not even evidence that a battle took place other than the echoes of the conflict if the participants were strong enough."
"Are you saying there's someone doing your job better than you?"

"We're following up every lead that we can get. If we can find this mysterious vigilante, then we can neutralize them effectively and regain control."

"Sounds promising, but you need to do more. We cannot rely on Vigilantes to protect this world."

(AN2)

"Don't worry. We will do whatever it takes to protect this world," finished Yamaki.

"That sounds more like it," said the official, before turning to leave, "Thank you, by the way. That cleared up my questions… well, for now at least."

'Thank god,' thought Yamaki, 'I thought he'd never leave.'

"Alright, Riley, there'd better be something more important than a lout that doesn't understand simple information," said Yamaki, heading upstairs to where his two assistants were. Frankly, he'd be nowhere near this far without them, and for that he was grateful.

"Sir, there's a field of raw, almost chaotic Data that's appeared. It's not a Bio-Emergence point either, just data," replied Riley.

"Send a tracer, let's get an idea of who we're dealing with."

Riley went to do just that, and everyone watched as the tracer went to the targeted area before disappearing completely.

"That's new," said Tally, "It was absorbed and neutralized."

Yamaki glared at the screen. This was becoming a nuisance.

"I guess we need to step up our game," said Yamaki, "How long until the new program is up and running?"

"Working on it now, sir," replied Riley, "If both of us work on it, we should be done in less than an hour…"

"Do it," said Yamaki, as he turned and headed down stairs… he needed some coffee.

The time had come. Guilmon had been taken, and they needed to get him back. Whatever this field was, it wasn't welcome, and it wasn't staying. The Tamers had gathered outside the Tunnel, prepared to get their digital dino friend back.

"Let's go," said Rika, the boys nodding.

All three of them headed inside the tunnel, ready for anything.

(AN3)

Once the program was done, Yamaki returned and prepared the mission parameters for it's first run.

"Just a reminder, Sir, that we haven't gotten approval for this program yet…" said Riley.

"True, but considering how many times I've had to explain the Digital World to them in simple terms, they would never be able to understand the need for this. Not to mention we need a better defense. The barrier isn't enough anymore; we need an offensive weapon that's powerful enough to deal with whatever gets passed that barrier. As an addition, I'm assigning Yugoth a retrieval patch as well. The data we collect from these Digimon will further our research in keeping these beasts out of our world."

"Understood, sir," said Riley, as Yamaki uploaded the finished Yugoth program into the main computer.

"You're good Riley," said Yamaki, "But don't think that grants you job security. I know this goes against the rules, but if the rules ties the hands of those that can help, then what's point of having those rules?"

"I… never thought about it that way," replied Riley.

"I didn't either, until this job," informed Yamaki, "Now, let's get rid of this unneeded mass of data."

Utilizing the tracer's last coordinates, Riley quickly pinpointed the field of data that had appeared. Setting the target coordinates, Riley unleashed the Yugoth program. The two of them watched as the program raced across net to find the source of the disturbance. Due to the immense data load, when Yugoth reached it, it still took a few minutes for all the data to be deleted entirely. Unknown to Yamaki, he nearly became a murderer of three kids who had full knowledge of what was going to happen, but took the risk anyways. Safe to say, the less he knew about the kids being there the better.

(AN4)

"Alright, reset the program and have it on standby behind the tracer program should our normal defensive measure fail. We won't let them through any longer…" declared Yamaki.

"Understood sir," replied Riley, who set about adding the program to the right data point.

"Remind me again why I love you, Gogglehead?" asked Rika as they got out of the tunnel, "Cause that was still insanely stupid."

"Aw, you know you can't resist this face!" replied Takato, putting on a winning smile, and tilting his head a bit for dramatic affect.

"Come here, Takato," said Rika, pulling him in for a kiss.

"Alright, I know when you don't need a third wheel," said Henry, turning to leave.

"Hey," said Takato, separating from Rika a bit, "You'll always be my wingman, right?"

"Until I need one of my own," chuckled Henry, "Since Terriermon has limited skills in that area."

"HEY!" cried out an indignant Terriermon.

"He's only speaking the truth," said Renamon, getting a pout out of Terriermon while the others laughed.

"Night!" was the final statement shared between them before they went their separate ways.

The following night, Guilmon was getting out his bread stash for a late-night snack when one of the rolls fell out and bounced outside the gate. Sniffing the air, he quickly identified Impmon's scent, and remembered it was his turn to interact with the annoying prankster. Guilmon liked Impmon well enough, but agreed with the others that the pranking had to stop, especially against them. Oh well, maybe he could pull a reverse prank, or just scare the hell out of him so bad that he'd think twice about pranking the viral dinosaur rookie that was also the digital form of the reincarnation of the Digital Hazard. He placed down his breadbox and walked to the gate to see Impmon eating the fallen roll.

"This is a bit dry," commented Impmon.

"Much like your wit," replied Guilmon, smirking at him. It may have taken years, but let it be said that even Guilmon can learn how to go toe-to-toe with Impmon, "And I've been keeping it a couple days. Dryness is a side effect of that. What do you want…?"

"Just to inform you of how irresponsible you are listening to some snot-nosed kid," replied Impmon, "The lot of you… the fox and the bunny too. You three, thinking you're some great team of guardians. You're nothing more than slaves to 'the man'."

"You… really don't know who I am, do you?" deadpanned Guilmon, some Mon just don't understand. Some of his other battles were the same way, always thinking in terms of his level, not his representation, "Cause, if you did, you'd be humming a different tune."

"Oh really?" challenged Impmon, "Then tell me, who AM I dealing with?"

"The Digital Reincarnation of Megidramon," smirked Guilmon, the reaction would be so funny, "who did ya think?"

"YOU!?" exclaimed Impmon, before falling down laughing, just as Guilmon expected, "You REALLY must be delusional! Megidramon never reincarnated! His data vanished over 12 years ago!"

Guilmon couldn't take it, he broke down laughing at the lack of awareness Impmon had.

'Ah, to be ignorant of true power, even though he has his own,' came a comment from inside Guilmon's head.

'So true, even when I was once that Mon as well,' replied Guilmon.

While he never need more than a very small portion of power to maintain his Rookie Form and Viral senses every now and then, Guilmon was never one for ignoring Megidramon. The years with him in Takato's head did wonders for the Digital Hazard. While he was still out for destruction, he was fine with letting Takato and Guilmon have fun with these weaklings until they got to the Digital World. Once there, the fun would increase with the Digital Hazard once more making a name for itself, but that was still a ways away.

"HEY!" cried an indignant Impmon.

"I'm sorry," giggled Guilmon, wiping a tear from his eye, "It's just too funny."

"Yeah, well look who's laughing! I'm not the one in a cage!" countered Impmon.

Guilmon stopped laughing and gave him what could amount to a death glare. It held little killer intent, but it was enough to get Impmon's attention.

"You really have no idea, do you?" said Guilmon, in full seriousness, which was rare for him, "Megidramon and the Digital Hazard can't be destroyed that easily. Now leave before I destroy you."

'Oh great, this guy sounds serious! But I need to save face!' thought Impmon.

"Fine, have it your way, but even IF you're the incarnation of Megidramon, you're not living up to the name. The Megidramon of Legend would have ravaged this whole country for as long as you've been here!" finished Impmon, before racing off.

Once he was out of earshot, Guilmon broke down laughing; that was just funny. Guilmon looked forward to messing with him again soon.

(AN5)

The next morning, Miss Asaji was once again sharing bad news, as it appeared a kid dressed up in a costume using fireworks were scaring couples in the park. This caused all sorts of gossip to spread around the school by break time. Takato and Henry were listening to the boys' theories while Rika was trying her hardest not to get ticked off at the other girls around Jeri. Jeri was the one exception to most girls for Rika, as they had a very close friendship in the previous timeline. This go around it wasn't too different, but with less of a start with Digimon as Leomon wasn't due for a while.

"You know what I heard?" said a girl with two bows in her hair.

"Please, enlighten us," said Rika, trying HARD not sound deadpannish.

"Some kid," said the girl indignantly, "is going around picking on couples in the park while their kissing! Can you believe that!?"

'If only you knew,' thought Rika, resisting the urge to roll her eyes at the girl's comments.

'I can tell you're having a good time,' came Renamon's voice, 'You do realize these girls aren't as stuck up as your old classmates right?'

'Why do you think I'm actually making the least bit of effort in hanging out with them and not Goggles and Brainiac for the umpteenth time?' replied Rika, causing both to mentally chuckle at the implication.

While Rika was still a tomboy to the extreme, she was at least aware from the last timeline that the girls in this school were more laid back and actually had fun every now and again (compared to her old ones at the prep school).

"Yeah, it's a boy alright!" continued the twin-bow girl, "Come on, CONFESS!"

This last bit was directed at the boys that were also discussing the same subject at the other end of the classroom.

"Well, they're HALF right," muttered Henry in Takato's ear, who had to bite back laughter at the comment, considering who was actually doing it.

"Don't look at me! I wouldn't sink so low!" countered Kazu, who was always quick to retort, even if he had no idea what he was saying.

"Confess to what!?" added Kenta, confused as to why the girls were ganging up on them.

Jeri walked over just then with a smile on her face.

"Don't worry Takato, they're not talking about you," assured Jeri, "I talked with Rika and the girls. You're not the type to do that, you're too nice."

'Unfortunately way too nice when it comes to humans…' came a voice from within Takato's head, making him resist the urge to eye roll.

'Well, they're not as resilient as Digimon are, at least most of them,' returned Takato.

Megidramon… it was always a pleasure to hear his two cents in ANY conversation (sarcasm by the way). He didn't speak up too often, only when things were either outright hilarious to him (such as the gossip surrounding Impmon's pranks) or there was a Digimon he wanted to give a smack talking to, through Takato of course. Unfortunately very few Digimon were worth the comments he had been working on since he had nothing to until Takato was ready to Digivolve Guilmon on a more regular basis. Having Guilmon at the higher stages of Digivolution helped expand his power, once WarGrowlmon showed up, then they could start some REAL landscaping moves.

Later, after class, the Tamers met up and talked about the one subject of the week: Impmon.

"Okay, so according to my memories, we've had to put up with his antics for at least a month before things started to go SUPER crazy. Anything different on your end?" asked Rika.

"Not really, though I have been back a little longer, so my memories are a bit fuzzy at times," admitted Takato.

"Think we should confront him for real sooner rather than later?" proposed Henry.

"Probably after Guilmon Digivolves," said Rika, "It'd be the most convenient time."

The others agreed and they headed home for the day.

Meanwhile, back at Hypnos…

"Sir, another wild one is getting past our barrier. This one has more raw data than the others,
informed Riley.

"Lock on a tracer and get the Yugoth Blaster on standby," replied Yamaki.

"Working on it," replied Riley, working in conjunction with Tally on the programs.

Unfortunately, The tracer couldn't lock down on the fast moving target.

"This isn't good," informed Tally, "The target's moving too fast for the tracer to lock on to it. At this rate, it'll Bio-Emerge within the hour."

Yamaki suppressed a growl. This was getting annoying, they needed to refine and give a tune up to the Tracer Program. If Digimon continued to show up with this level of speed or power, then they might even manage to get pass the Yugoth Blaster, and that was a frightening thought.

(AN6)

Sometime later, Guilmon heard a whistle from outside, and the scent confirmed the return of Impmon.

"Back again? You must really be courageous, or stupid," commented Guilmon, approaching the bars that served as his hiding point from the humans.

"As if," scoffed Impmon, denying what happened earlier. There was just no way this dinosaur, this Pineapple-head, was the incarnation of Megidramon, "I was wanting to know if you wanted to have some fun tonight. Takato will never find out."

'If only he knew of our connection,' chuckled Megidramon.

'Too bad he doesn't,' came the voice of Takato, 'Guilmon, you better get ready, cause Devidramon is coming.'

'So, you're saying I should keep an eye on Impmon?' asked Guilmon.

'Knock yourself out; just make sure humans don't get a good look at you,' replied Takato, 'I'll be there soon!'
"So, what 'fun' do you have planned?" asked Guilmon, with a serious look that got Impmon nervous again.

'(gulp) that isn't weird at all,' thought Impmon, trying not to show any signs of nervousness. He was Impmon after all, the free Digimon that roamed the streets of this city.

Sometime later, Takato would laugh at the irony of running into a patrolling police officer using big words to describe kissing AND having Ms. Asaji bail him out again, despite knowing exactly what the officer was talking about this time around. However, right now, he was trying HARD not to facefault, sweatdrop or eye twitch at the situation at hand, especially since time was running out.

(AN7)

Guilmon watched with a slightly bored expression as Impmon scared the first couple of the night, as far as he witnessed anyways.

"Now THAT is fun!" exclaimed Impmon.

"That's disappointing," replied Guilmon.

"Huh, what you talking about? That was hilarious!" countered Impmon.

"I meant," clarified Guilmon, "The fact that couples know what's going on and still show up here, despite knowing that their 'special moments' are being ruined on purpose. Humans are supposed to be smarter than that."

With that, Guilmon gave Impmon the 'I don't care how cool you make it sound, it won't be enough for me anymore' look and walked off. Impmon got angry and stormed off, not knowing that he was heading toward a Bio-Emergence point.

Sometime later, Yamaki saw the Bio-Emerged Devidramon and made a decision, two actually. It was time to proceed forth with the last resort: The Juggernaut Program. That, and it was time to figure out who was the vigilante(s) that is(are) taking away the Digimon Data they needed. He left his office, leaving a note to Riley to begin the first stages of the Juggernaut and have it ready before the week's end. Heading outside, he was going to find out who, or what, was interfering in their work once and for all.

Takato met up with Guilmon and they both felt Megidramon take interest in this Digimon.

'Time to show them the Power of the Hazard!' said Megidramon to them both.

'With pleasure,' replied both halves of his reincarnation.

"Alright, let's see here: Devidramon, Viral Champion. Watch out for his Crimson Claws and Red Eyes," said Takato, reading off the stats, before refocusing his attention to the task at hand, "Alright, let's go all the way! TRIPLE DIGI-MODIFY: SPEED, POWER, AND HYPER-WING ACTIVATE!"

With the triple boost in play, Guilmon quickly took to the skies and avoided Devidramon's attacks while blasting back with his own, to little success, ticking off Takato, while Megidramon was grumpy with the reluctance of his human vessel.

'Boy, stop holding back the power of the Hazard. This is embarrassing!' reprimanded Megidramon.

'Don't want to reveal my whole hand all at once,' replied Takato, 'but since you insist!'

Takato gave off a slight red aura glow before it faded, energizing Guilmon with the red aura before it too disappeared.

"ROCK BREAKER!" shouted Guilmon, punching Devidramon in the face, knocking him back a little.

"Clever, but not enough! Crimson Claws!" countered Devidramon, only for Guilmon to Barrel Roll around it, firing off another Pyro Blaster, annoying Devidramon by the sting of the attack, "Fine then! RED EYES!"

His four eyes glowed, capturing Guilmon in its gaze, negating the speed power-up, allowing him to follow up with another 'Crimson Claws', and knocking him down to the ground. He quickly used his tail to pin Guilmon up against the wall of a building, ready to crush him for his massive amount of Rookie data.

(AN8)

Meanwhile, Impmon was enjoying the fight from afar, especially since Guilmon was losing.

"So much for the 'incarnation of Hazard'! He was all talk and lies!" chuckled Impmon.

"'Incarnation of Hazard'? What are you talking about," said Terriermon, surprising him.

"Well, well, looks like the third tier of Human pets have shown up," taunted Impmon, "You mean you don't know? That dino was telling me some strange story last night. Course, that story was a nice break up from the monotony of scaring humans!"

"Really? That's all I needed to hear!" said Terriermon, jumping up, "Terrier Tornado!"

Using his own self-generated wind, he blew Impmon away while he got enough height to glide over to the others, where Guilmon was having an embarrassing sight of a fight against Devidramon.

Not aware of the figures watching from the top floor of the Hypnos, the others gathered together; ready to assist Guilmon should he decide not to Digivolve just yet…

"Not yet," said Guilmon, struggling against Devidramon's tail, "I can still take him!"

"Then stop talking about it and do it!" said Renamon, peeved at what she was watching, "We are honoring your right to fight alone and your making a mockery of it. A Triple-Modify and you can't take this guy down, that's a insult to what we stand for."

"She's right," added Terriermon, "Stop goofing around and finish him already!"

Suddenly, a bright light flashed in the distance and Takato's Digivice glowed, getting smirks from Tamers and their Digimon, minus Guilmon. Guilmon gave an evil grin to Devidramon in such a way, that it startled him into loosening his hold for a second, and a second too long at that.

Woman's voice: DIGIVOLUTION!

GUILMON DIGIVOLVE TO…

GROWLMON!

"Okay, tall, dark, and ugly! It's time to end this!" said Growlmon, his eyes pinpoints with his viral instincts at max. Delving back into his Hazard strength, now stronger because he's at Champion level now, he gave Devidramon a death stare like no other.

"Hey! Wait," said Devidramon, actually getting scared of this new champion, taking flight to get away from the strange dark power that just appeared in front of him, "Stay back!"

"You're option of Surrender has just been taken away! The only thing left is your deletion!" said Growlmon in a more serious tone than Guilmon could ever get across, "DRAGON SLASH!"

Jumping up at his enemy with his power boost still intact, he stuck Devidramon across the chest sending him down to the ground. Landing on a walking bridge, he focused his Hazard Power behind this next attack, "PYRO BLASTER!"

Stunned from the presence in front of him, as well as the Dragon Slash just moments ago, Devidramon couldn't defend himself from this assault, and was promptly deleted.

'Yes! Give me his data! All shall be absorbed by the Hazard!' proclaimed Megidramon in victory.

'Growlmon stop! That's enough! Pull back on the Hazard's power now!' called out Takato mentally, not wanting his friends to find out just yet.

Growlmon finished downloading the data and reverted back to Guilmon, jumping down to the ground in the process, all traces of the Hazard's presence perfectly suppressed within.

'Really? I give my first victory cry and THAT'S how you react?' complained Megidramon.

'I am NOT having my friends deal with me actively calling out your power unless it's necessary!' countered Takato, visibly eye twitching.

"Something wrong goggles?" asked Rika, concerned.

"It's nothing, Rika," replied Takato, hoping that she'd believe it.

"I doubt it," spoke up Terriermon, "I overheard Impmon, not unlike before, but this time he told me something interesting. Something about Guilmon being the Reincarnation of Hazard?"

"Takato! I thought we talked about this!" said Rika, upset now, "We agreed you wouldn't call upon the Hazard's power and that you would come to us if it's awakening early!"

"Guilmon!" said Takato, upset that Guilmon was blabbing to the EXACT wrong Digimon about this.

"What!? It was the best way to get Impmon to leave me alone without drawing human attention to where we were," countered Guilmon, not wanting to mention that they were consciously calling upon its power. The others just wouldn't understand.

"Yeah, but now that he knows, what's to stop him from using that information against us in the future?" asked Takato.

"Well, you ARE already famous about being the 'Tamer of the Hazard', according to Calumon, and he's only been around for a few months or so," inputted Henry, trying to defuse the situation between his best friends without coming to blows, he may have gotten over his insecurity about fighting, but that doesn't mean he'll let conflict arise if he could stop it, especially among his friends.

"That doesn't change anything!" said Rika, "You promised you wouldn't call upon that power!"

"You wouldn't understand," said Takato, looking away, "It's complicated now."

"What's so complicated about it?" demanded Rika, "Hazard power bad, friendship good! Or are you saying that we're not enough?"

Rika was fighting back some tears at this, making Takato feel even MORE guilty than before.

"Can we not talk about this right now," pleaded Takato, wanting to avoid a nasty conversation right now.

"He's got a point, Rika," said Henry, "We ARE still at a battlefield. Let's regroup tomorrow since we don't have to wait around for Guilmon to DeDigivolve."

"Fine," grumbled Rika, knowing he had a point. As much as she loved the Gogglehead, there were still points that she questioned concerning him, "But don't think you're getting off the hook."

The group headed out, not wanting to be found by the wrong people.

Unbeknownst to them, they were being watched certain people.

"Riley, you got it?" asked Yamaki.

"Running facial recognition and our own Digimon Database has gotten us a lot of data. First up, we have Henry Wong and Terriermon, he has above average intelligence and his Digimon has been shown to be able to reach the Ultimate Level. Next up, Rika Nonaka and Renamon, who also shows the ability to obtain the Ultimate Level. However the real problem is Takato Matsuki and Guilmon. We don't have any information on this Digimon outside what this battle has indicated. We can't gauge his limits from this, or how far he can go. Then there's this, Sir…"

"What is it?" said Yamaki, his interest showing, "I don't believe it!"

But, there it was, plain as day. Guilmon had the Hazard Symbol on his chest.

"This is NOT good," said Yamaki with a hint of dread in his voice.

Things were heating up, and it didn't look like things were going to get better any time soon.

(Chapter End)

Finally! There it is! The next chapter is now completed. Now all I got to do is upload it.

(Three days later)

HA! HA! Just kidding, I'm uploading this as soon as I can.

Dx: Three days is a bit high on the expectations.

RDF1: Hush you! This isn't like before! I'm making a better effort to balance out the three most time consuming activities I have right now!

Jenny: Yeah, yeah. Can you just upload the chapter already? People have been waiting for this for like a month now!

RDF1: Fine, fine! At least it'll give me some peace and quiet.

Dx: You do know that's impossible, right?

PyroDragoon: Leave him alone guys. You know he's proud of his side project!

RDF1: THAT'S IT! I'M OUTTA HERE!

Author Notes:

AN1: A lot of Head-canon combined with available evidence from the show itself went into making this scene. I'm trying to give Hypnos a bit more depth than shown, mainly because the short blurbs don't really prove much from the original. Tracers that don't do anything to stop a Bio-Emergence Point? Only one scene where they're investigating a Digimon Battle? We need more to go with, and this seems pretty decent for a half-fusion of sorts…

AN2: Insert every Manga/Anime/Cartoon/Comic/TV Show/Video Game series that has a one or more people working to protect their planet (or galaxy) that isn't sanctioned or endorsed by Government or other Official Personage.

AN3: The first half, if you didn't notice, was focusing more on Hypnos than the Tamers, mainly because of this Time Travel, many scenes are completely null and void, not to mention that things don't really change once inside the field, except the fact that they got it done faster than before-ish.

AN4: Well, even with full acknowledgement of what was happening, it still wouldn't absolve Yamaki of the crime of Triple Homicide. (Guilmon wouldn't count considering his doesn't officially exist in this world. You can't be tried for murder against someone that does not exist, or at least to my understanding for the most part…)

AN5: Well, what do you expect? Guilmon's not the naïve Dino from the original, as well as finding a way to keep Impmon from getting out of control (for all the good it does).

AN6: Especially since it JUST made its debut!

AN7: Yeah, glossing over a number of scenes from the early episodes mainly because the Time Travelling makes them null and void with future knowledge. That, and I'm not gonna craft some convoluted scene change that'll come back to haunt me later. Avoiding the scenes for the most part is basically saying that it happened very similarly to the point of not being worth writing it all out.

AN8: Well, the Hazard's incarnation… More data than a lot of champions have, that's for sure…

Lone Raindrop: That was easy. Now let's get crazy while he's gone!

Warriormon and Dragomon exchanged glances before holding up a somewhat familiar sign.

Sign: Later,
