"I found them in a sand storm."

...

"Where are we?"

"Don't worry; you are safe here in our Empire, Bìfēnggǎng."

"Many people died. They couldn't help the Mist but otherwise their mission was a success."

"What about Sasuke!"

"Sasuke is alive and well. He probably just has a few scratches on him."

...

"Who exactly is Sasuke anyway?"

"Excuse me Fire Lord Ozai! But I have urgent news! The Avatar has disappeared! We can't find any trace of him at all!"

"There is this place that people are talking about. It is said that only a select few are allowed to go into this secretive place. Some people are saying that they believe the guardians of the land have allowed the Avatar in under certain circumstances. Some of my reliable sources are telling me that's what they believe.

"The rumors say it is called the 5th Empire, otherwise known as Bifenggang, the safe haven."

"Azula. You and your group will go to the Si Wong Desert and find this place."

"If you are to find Zuko or Iroh along the way, try to...persuade them to help you. Do you understand?"

"Yes father, I understand."

Suigetsu was a water bender...and he represented water! The Gaang thought back to the time where Sakura had told them that none of the leaders had elements but then they stopped. She had said, "The leaders represent the 4 elements. However, that doesn't mean they can use that element or any element for that matter!"
Then they realized she was covering up for them. She didn't want the Gaang to know that they could bend but why? And if Suigetsu represented water and could water bend did that mean...

Naruto represented air...

So could Naruto...

So could Naruto be an air bender...

Naruto was using air...so he had to be an-

Because Naruto started spinning in the opposite direction he created a vacuüm of air that started to suck Suigetsu in.

-AIRBENDER!

However, Suigetsu wasn't the only one sucked into the air vacuüm. The members of the Gaang were hiding right behind the vacuüm and it was starting to pull them in as well! The next thing you know is that Suigetsu, Aang, Sokka, Katara, Toph, and Momo all crashed into one another and ended up being a big bundle of arms, Naruto was confused at first but then it clicked. They had been watching them...

Nah.

...more like spying on them!

The Gaang looked up to see Naruto looking down at them with an unreadable expression. This couldn't end well...after all, they had been caught.

"What are you guys doing?" Naruto all but demanded.

The members of Gaang and Suigetsu tried to get out of the knot they were in and after a lot of tugging, pulling, pushing, and PAIN, they finally freed themselves.

"Well...you see...we were...umm...we were kind of..." Aang died out pathetically.

"We were lost! Yeah that was it. We got lost." The members sweat dropped at Sokka's failed attempt of innocence.

"How did you follow us here?" Suigetsu cautiously asked.

"We didn't. We saw the smoke rising up from over here and came to check it out." Katara answered truthfully feeling a bit nervous.

"Then why were you guys hiding behind the bushes?"

"When we saw it was you guys sparring we wanted to watch to see what would happen. We didn't want to intrude but we were curios." Aang said while finding great interest in the ground.

At Naruto and Suigetsu's disbelieving stare Aang continued, "And we didn't want to come out because we thought that once you realized we were there you would stop and we...well..."

"I have a question." Toph suddenly announced. "While we were watching you battle, Suigetsu water bended and he represents water. Does this mean that all of you guys can bend the element you represent?" Naruto and Suigetsu easily read the real meaning behind her question, 'Does that mean that you can air bend?'

Naruto pondered for a moment trying to decide if he should tell them. After all they hadn't tried to hurt them yet. They were also against the fire nation. But most importantly they had Aang, the Avatar, an airbender, someone who at least Naruto should trust.

"Fine. I will tell you some of the Empire's greatest secrets but once I start telling you, you will have to promise you will never tell anyone about this and if you have to discuss it you have to make sure you are alone." Naruto grew even more serious which should have been impossible. "When I start telling people the Empire's greatest secrets you have to be sworn to secrecy. Also, if I tell you about some secrets you may learn all of them in time. You would be getting much more than you bargained for. If you indeed do tell anyone or if someone over hears you, there will be consequences. Maybe even death." As Naruto said this they couldn't believe their ears. How many secrets did Bìfēnggǎng have? How important or deadly are these secrets? What secret could be so bad that the if you told anyone even by accident the punishment would be death? "Do you guys understand?"

They didn't trust their own voices so they all nodded.

"Before I tell you I need to set up a sound proof barrier and I need you to say a few things to make sure you won't tell anyone." Naruto said while Suigetsu got the hint and started the barrier.

Suigetsu couldn't believe that Naruto was going to tell them. I mean...even Naruto knew his limits and what should be said and what shouldn't be said. But then again this was the Avatar, also another airbender. Naruto's reasoning was understandable. So Suigetsu was okay with it as long as he only talked about himself. However, the others would be angry when they found out Naruto told them, outsiders, sensitive information. They would all be furious but Suigetsu wouldn't go into that mind of thought, because he knew what Sakura could do. Suigetsu shuddered. Now all Suigetsu had to do was make up an alibi and a story saying he was against the blonde and was by no means his accomplice...

In the mean while the members of Gang were wondering what in the world they were getting themselves in.

"It's here!" Almost every person there was jumping for joy. They had been gone from home for about 5 months and most of them couldn't wait to go home. They had sent the letter home about their mission a couple of days ago and they had finally replied back.

"I'll take the letter and give it to Sasuke." Kakashi said while he walked up to Sasuke's very own hawk summon. Usually Sasuke would be the first to look at the letter but he was busy at the moment so Kakashi, as the 2nd in charge and Sasuke's sensei, took the letter and read it. Everything was being set up for their return and they could leave as soon as they got the letter.

"Okay guys, pack your bags. We're going home!"

There was cheering, yelling, and happiness everywhere you looked. Kakashi inwardly smiled to himself. The war between the fire nations and the earth kingdom was just beginning but at least they had delivered their info to the Village Hidden in the Rocks. Then Kakashi frowned. They did indeed finish their mission but they lost quite a bit of man power. Most of them had died during a surprise attack. While some others, mostly their allies from the Mist were taken hostage. Who knew what was going to happen to them now...

"I'm done." Sasuke said while he walked up to Kakashi. "Is that the letter from home?" Kakashi handed Sasuke the note. Sasuke's dark eyes traveled over the letter quickly before he looked up to his teacher. "Are we ready?" Sasuke's question hung in the air while he turned away from Kakashi and started walking up to his ship. Kakashi knew that there was an alternate meaning to the question so he studied Sasuke intently. Sasuke had been acting strange ever since they got away from the fire nation a couple of days ago and Kakashi didn't know what was wrong. Kakashi never really had been able to read Sasuke as easily as the rest but of course Sasuke wasn't like anyone else either. Kakashi sighed, no matter what he said about his raven haired student he did have a soft spot for him and yes...he actually cared about the young teen.

"Let's go home." Sasuke stated before he walked away from the rail.

When the boats took off Kakashi knew he wouldn't be able to get Sasuke off of his mind until he knew he was okay. Kakashi had his work cut out for him.

"Yeah, let's go home..."

"Azula?"

"What!" Azula rudely snapped at Ty Lee. The 3 girls, Azula, Ty Lee, and Mai had traveled none stop in their mechanical metal machine. Azula had tried to get some sleep earlier but she couldn't. She kept thinking back to her discussion with her father about this mission and she had this weird feeling in her gut, like something bad was about to happen...really bad.

Ty Lee was also tired but had actually gotten some sleep when her head first hit the pillow or...the wrapped up blankets. "I was just going to tell you that we have successfully gotten into the Si Wong Desert and the captain said we should reach sector 4 in the morning."

"Thank you Ty Lee."

"Your welcome Azula...goodnight." And with that Ty Lee went back up to the top. Probably to flirt with the guards or maybe even the captain.

Because the Desert was very large they had divided it up into 15 different sectors. It was late at night or early in the morning and they still had a long way to travel. According to the messenger's knowledge the Empire was located around sector 13. He had also warned them that they might not be able to find it for it was a very secret place. Many people had gone out to find and research this place but none have ever come back. However, Azula knew someone was lying. If people had gone into the desert and found this place there had to be at least one person who came back. Because if no one came back to spread the news about the Empire then how in the world did people even know about it in the first place.

Azula knew she was going to get to the bottom of these mysteries. How did people find the Empire? Who had originally found it and who created it? Where was the Avatar? Was he really where the messenger thought he was? Why were they just now hearing about this place? The more Azula thought about it the more she knew she would find about all of it.

"Just you see, Bìfēnggǎng. I will search every dune, turn every stone, walk all over until I find out where you are. Then I will find out every single little secret that you have and use it against you. And then the best part...I will burn you to the ground with my very fists. Then you won't be that safe anymore, will you, Safe Haven?

If you listened close enough you could hear someone cackling or very disturbing laughing.

He usually had more time for this. He had been planning his escape from The Man for a while now. He couldn't even remember how long ago he was taken or where he was but he did know that he had to get out of here soon before He found him.

He stepped up onto the ledge and carefully started to walk to his left. He heard the footsteps coming down the hall and knew that in a few moments He would come and find out he was trying to escape. He almost froze from the thought of being found. Who knows what would have happen if He found him trying to sneak off. He would be tortured for sure.

His breath caught in his throat. He had been unconscious or drugged for the first few...attempts but he soon grew weaker and weaker until the point where they didn't feel the need to give him anything anymore. He then realized what That Man was doing to him and he hated it. He felt gross, disgusting, and nauseous. He felt like he would throw up any minute just thinking about it. He also felt other emotions. Hatred for That Disgusting Man and hatred...for himself.

He heard the door open so he stopped moving and held his breath hoping they wouldn't see him. The next parts happened so fast he didn't know what happened first-

-He saw the snake crawling on the ground-

He slipped and saw Him.

-A hawk swooped down-

He fell down the ledge towards them.

He hit the ground and started to see black spots.

-The snake sprang up ready to devour the hawk-

-But the hawk grasped the snake before that and flew off-

He got in front of him. He knew they were talking but it sounded more like hisses. He knew that He was kicking him and beating him but he was numb. He remembered the snake and the hawk and he compared himself and That Man to them. He may be a hostage know and the snake may have the upper hand but, it's the hawk who flies.

It's the hawk who wins, now all he had to do was wait for his wings to grow.

But when would that be...how long would he have to wait?

Before the darkness completely enslaved him he wondered these things and one other thought came into his head...

I can't handle it...I can't wait...I'd rather die than be with That Man...
