Sorry it took a little while again! I actually forgot to post this chapter. BUT, I will post the next one this week though! Next chapter I will change the rating to M, just saying. This one is basically fluff. Enjoy! owo
It was the beginning of the afternoon when Roderich took his companion to practice. When Gilbert was heading to the hall, where they had tried to practice the day before, the other boy stopped him.
"I was thinking of somewhere different today. Didn't you say you loved the gardens?" He gave a smile, a small one. He wondered if Gilbert could see the hatred and mockery behind it, but that boy could be so air-headed he doubted it would happen.
Roderich took the other's hand, seeing the flush in his very pale skin. He crossed the door, walking calmly through the gardens. The colours were very vivid, the green contrasting with the blue of the sky. Today there were particularly no clouds, making the view even more beautiful. The flowers appeared to have been recently irrigated, the drops of water reflecting the colours of one another.
They arrived in a fairly big gazebo, where there was a comfortable shadow and a bench to rest in and appreciate the view. The garden was truly big, Gilbert thought, because he hadn't seen that place in there before. Looking around, he could see the end of the maze he had earlier gotten lost in.
"This place is awesome! I wish I had seen it before." He said, contemplating the landscape. He remembered Felicia, a friend of his and Ludwig's who would have loved to paint the place. "But, isn't there any music?"
"Of course there is, little fool. I have already arranged that." Looking to the side, there was a gramophone placed in the top of a table across the bench. There he put a vinyl to play and went towards Gilbert.
He stopped centimeters from him, looking to the boy from his glasses.
"You would like to lead, wouldn't you?" He said, placing a hand on his shoulder and taking one of the albino's hand with the other.
"Yeah, but I don't know how to-"
Roderich leaned his head forward, reaching Gilbert's ear. He talked in a low tone, sounding like a purr. "I thought the awesome you could do anything. Prove it to me"
Gilbert turned red, but didn't argue with him. At first Roderich was leading him, but he soon understood the movements and took the lead from him.
"You're quite a fast learner, Gil"
"I know right? I will be the most awesome dancer tomorrow, you'll see!" He was really happy for having learned, though sometimes he still had to look down to their feet or stepped on his partner sometimes, there was a great improvement.
Roderich broke away from the dance and stopped the gramophone. He took the vinyl an turned it upside down, and another song started to play. A slow and calm one, and Gilbert recognized it as Chopin's. Somehow, the song really matched the gardens.
He looked at the gramophone, seeing Roderich coming towards him. He wrapped his arms around him and started moving slowly.
"This is not waltz, but could come in handy too" He said, burying his face in the albino's neck. Gilbert felt his whole body get hotter and hotter. He wrapped his arms around Roderich too and leaned his head, making his face touch Roderich's hair. It was soft. When he breathed in, the scent almost made him shiver, though he couldn't tell what this smell was. For him, it was only Roderich. That embrace felt so right to him, as if he needn't anything else in this world, making him forget everything that wasn't the person in front of him.
When he realized, the sun was already setting. They stopped dancing and were now sitting in the bench, Roderich had his head resting in Gilbert's shoulder. Gilbert was caressing his hair, his heart racing. He didn't recall being this close to someone before. When he looked at Roderich, the boy had closed his eyes, looking so peaceful, so calm, so handsome. His features were delicate as a porcelain doll, his glasses making him look sophisticated. Everything about him was elegant, Gilbert thought, even his way of speaking. Maybe that's why he liked to annoy the boy. Maybe he was trying to see if that had an end.
He looked up again. Now the sky had mixed, bright colours. It started as orange, and then turned pink, purple, and finally dispersed into a deep blue. Everything around was being illuminated by those lights. Everything in that seemed looked like a dream, Gilbert thought, as if he had trespassed somewhere beyond reality and entered a different dimension, where everything was beautiful and idealized. He closed his eyes too, feeling the magic of the place. He didn't want it to end, but knew the sun would set in the end. When he opened his eyes again, the sky was much darker, now a dark purple-blue, some pink lights were visible too. Roderich was looking ahead too, and turned his head to stare into crimson eyes.
"It's already dark, we should head back" He said, rising to his feet. The sun was already lost in the horizon now. Giving a last look in the magic Gilbert swore he could feel just some moments ago, he took the other's hand, and they started to walk back to the mansion.
