Funeral of despair
Diana POV
I was sitting at the lunch table by myself and I was looking at my books for a minute. Then I just sat there which I was deep in thought but I have loss my train of thought when Kimberly place her hand on my shoulder. I turn my head to see her which she had a worry look on her face. I got up and walked away but she grabbed my hand just to stop me.
"Come with me, I wanted to show you something." She says, "I know that you need some time away from us but this is something that I need you to see."
I knew that I couldn't resist her begging and I followed her to the roof of the school. When we both got there, I saw that there was nothing here, but she turned me around to see that there was a blanket and a bunched of flowers that spelled out my name. I looked at her for a moment because I was confuse with the gift that she had made for me.
"I wanted you to know that I am always here for you when you need me. I'll be your shoulder to cry on, and someone that you can talk to if you need it." Kimberly said.
I just smile at her for a moment because she had done this for me and I couldn't get mad at her. I hugged her as tight as I could which she hugged me back. We both stood there for a moment and we sat down and had a picnic on the roof of the school. I thought to myself for a moment and an idea had came to me like a flash.
"I have to leave early to meet with my aunt and uncle for the preparation for the ceremony. I could need some friends to join me." I said.
Kimberly lit up like a Christmas tree and I knew that she would love to come with me. We both heard the bell ring and we started to get up and head to class. I would need some time to prepare for the speech. I heard my cell phone ring and I reach into my pocket to pull it out. Then I answered it to see that it was aunt on the phone.
"Hi sweety, your uncle and I are on our way to pick you and Aisha from school today."
"Okay, we will bring Tommy to help out." I told her.
"Okay, that sound like a great idea."
I headed off to class to meet up with Tommy and Aisha because we were dressed for the funeral. We were to help set everything up for the funeral this afternoon. I just hope that nothing happen on this sad day of my life.
Meanwhile at Zedd's palace
Normal POV
Zedd was looking at the earth and he was getting impatient because of the Power Rangers had ruin his plans. He looked down to see that there was decoration for the funeral of April and he thought of a plan to deal with the Power Rangers.
"I see that the is a funeral for the former Purple Ranger and I am not invited." Lord Zedd mentioned.
"What are we going to do, master." Goldar questioned.
"Simple, we send a monster down there and destroy the purple ranger which ends the legacy of the purple ranger once and for all." Lord Zedd explained.
Lord Zedd used his staff to summon up a creature of pure evil which the electricity was creating a monster with the power of despair. Once the creation was complete, the monster was roar with excitement and he was looking at his master and he bow to Lord Zedd.
"I live to serve, Lord Zedd."
"Good! I want you to give the purple the most powerful despair of her life, my despair monster." Lord Zedd ordered.
Meanwhile at the Angel Grove high school
Kimberly POV
I looked at my watch for a moment and I saw that Diana was getting up from class. She and Tommy started to leave together which I knew that they have some stuff to do. I looked out the window to see that they both had meet up with Aisha and her parents outside.
"I guessed that they are going to set everything up for the funeral to begin." I thought.
I continue with class until and it was over, I started to head over to the Youth Center to meet up with Jason and the others. I was going to asked them to join me in attending the funeral to support both Aisha and Diana. I arrive at the Youth Center to see that Jason was teaching a karate class, Zack was dancing, Trini was doing yoga, Adam was helping Ernie, Rocky was helping Billy, and Kat was reading her book.
"Hey, guys." I greeted them.
"Yo, Kim." Zack said.
"Hey, Kimie." Kat said.
"Hi, Kimberly." Trini said.
"Hey, girl." Adam greeted me.
"Hey," Billy said.
"What's up, Kimberly." Rocky greeted.
I told them that Diana, Aisha, and Tommy left to the church to get everything ready for the funeral. Then Kat, Adam, and Rocky continue their work when suddenly, our communicators started to beep. Jason had to stop his karate class, Zack grabbed his radio, Trini ran outside to wait on the others and myself.
"Go ahead, Zordon." Jason said.
"Rangers, come to the Command Center immediately. There is something that we need to discuss." Zordon said.
We all looked around to see that the close was clear and we all took to our position. Then we press the button on our communicator which we all started to teleported to the Command Center.
At the Command Center
Normal POV
The rangers had arrived to the Command Center and Alpha had doing something for Zordon. They all was confuse on the immediate summon to the Command Center.
"Yo, Zordon? What's going on?" Zack questioned.
"That is a good question, Zack, but the time for question is over." Zordon said.
"What do you mean, Zordon?" Kimberly questioned.
"Behold the Viewing Globe." Zordon told them.
They all gathered around the viewing globe to see that there was a monster and group Putties heading towards the church where Tommy, Diana, and Aisha was at. Kimberly have a worry look on her face because they were going to interrupt a worse day of all time for Diana and Aisha.
"It's seems that Lord Zedd had plan to ruin this moment to break Diana's spirit. You must them before they get to the church." Zordon told them.
"If they think that they'll get pass us, Lord Zedd don't know us at all." Jason said.
"Maybe we should call Tommy and Diana to let them know to keep a lookout." Kimberly said.
"We'll call them unless you guys are in trouble." Alpha informed.
"Good luck, Rangers and may the power protect you."
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" Jason yelled.
"MASTODON!" Zack yelled.
"PTERODACTYL!" Kimberly yelled.
"TRICERATOP!" Billy yelled.
"SABER-TOOTH TIGER!" Trini yelled.
"TYRANNOSAURUS!" Jason yelled.
Once they morphed into action, they teleported a few blocks away from the church. The Rangers took to their stance to ready for a fight and they started to attack the putties. Jason took on a few of them with a sidekick and quick jab to the Z-chest. Trini block one of the Putties' attack and she counterattack with punch, Kimberly used her power bow to knocked a few putties down to size. Billy did triple backflips and he kicked some of the putties which he flipped the other onto its back. Zack use his power ax to cut some of the putties and he switch from an ax to canon to shoot the rest of them.
"I think that you guys need some alone with your despair." Despair said.
He shot out a electrical blast at them which they all were hit by it. The Rangers started to see visions of their despair. The despair monster was laughing at them because of his handy work. He was standing there to watch the power rangers suffered in their despair.
Command Center
Both Zordon and Alpha was watching the battle from the viewing globe which Alpha grew worry about the rangers. He saw that they were suffering from their own despair.
"Oh, ayi, ayi, ayi, Zordon, the rangers are danger." Alpha mentioned.
"It is as I fear, Lord Zedd is trying to lure Diana out. Alpha, you must contact Tommy at the church and have him to assist the others at once." Zordon ordered.
"Right away, Zordon. I just hope that he make it in time." Alpha said.
Angel Grove Church
Diana POV
I was dressed in my Sunday black dress while Tommy was dressed in a white suit. Aisha was sitting in between us which she knew that this was saddest of time for me. They both knew that this was going to be hard for me to move on with my life without my mom by my side. The pastor was going over the reason that we all are gather here.
"My friends, we're gather here to say goodbye to one of our dear beloved, April Campbell. We have some people that would like to say something before burry her to return her to god's side."
Then there a sound of Tommy's communicator which I knew that it was emergency. I knew that no one need to know our secret so I started to fake a stomach injury and Tommy knew that it was the only cover story that they had to go with. He started to help me outside to get some air and answer our communicators. I was looking around to see that the close was clear for us to talk.
"Go ahead, Zordon." Tommy said.
"Tommy, the Rangers need your help. Lord Zedd had send a monster called 'Despair monster' he put the Rangers in spell of their despair." Zordon said.
"Right, Zordon. We're on our way." Tommy told him.
"Let's do this." I said.
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" Tommy yelled out.
"PANTHER ZORD!" I yelled out.
"TIGERZORD!" Tommy yelled out.
Once we morphed, Tommy and I have arrive to see that the Rangers were down and they were scream. I check to see if there was a counteraction against the spell. Tommy was looking around to find the enemy, but he was attack out of nowhere by a monster. I was looking around to see that Putties Patrol came out and attack me. I put up a good fight against them and I done a drop kick and a sidekick. Tommy did a roundhouse kick to take down some of the putties.
Normal POV.
While Tommy and Diana were hold their own against the putties, Despair monster was hiding behind the tree and he was lining up his shot at Diana. He waited for an opening and he got his chance because Diana had left herself wide open. Despair monster shot her with his despair spell and he started to laughing.
"Diana!" Tommy yelled out.
He ran over to her to see that she had demorph and he looked at the despair monster for a moment and he knew that he needed to get the Diana and the others back to the command center to see that if Zordon and Alpha would help them.
The Command Center
Tommy use teleported to the command by himself which Alpha use the console to bring the others to the Command Center. He hooked everyone to the view globe to be scan. Tommy was looking at his friends for a moment but he knew that the fight wasn't over just yet.
"Alpha do what you can to get the others back on their feet." Tommy suggested.
"Be careful, Tommy." Alpha told him.
"May the power protect you, Tommy." Zordon told him.
"BACK IN ACTION!" Tommy yelled out.
The City
Tommy arrive into the city and he looked around to find the Despair monster which he had his guard up from an ambush. He made sure that there wasn't there was no civilian around. Bulk and Skull was trying to find the Power Rangers and they had no luck in finding them. Then suddenly there was some putties and the monsters that put the Diana and the others is the realm of despairs.
"I guess that you two can help to find some feed."
"A-A-A-A MONSTER!" Skull shouted.
"Run Skull!" Bulk said.
Both Bulk and Skull started to run for their lives and Tommy appeared out of nowhere and he started to attack the putties and the monster. He looked at both Bulk and Skull for a moment.
"Get out of here." Tommy told them.
"Right." Bulk and Skull said.
They both started to leave the field while Tommy took his fighting stance and he was ready for a fight.
"I am surprised to see at least one of you made out of my attack."
"Alright, I am going to take you down." Tommy said.
They both started to charge while they drew their weapons and they clash. Tommy use soba to attack the creature while he hold his own against the putties. There was too many of them for him to fight off which the creature started to shoot him an electrical streams at him.
At the Command Center
Alpha and Zordon tried their best to get the other rangers on their feet and they both knew that this was going to be hard because of five rangers which it hard to maintain the connection through.
"Zordon, I am worried. What if the other ranges won't make it out." Alpha said.
"Have fate, Alpha. The power of their ranger spirits will guide them out of their despair." Zordon told him.
Diana was the first to be hooked up to the viewing globe which both Zordon and Alpha look at the viewing to see what's was Diana's despair.
Diana's Dream
Diana POV
I was walking down some type of hallway of some kind and all I could hear was a woman yelling. I looked at every room which I saw a younger version of myself. I knew that this was some kind of dream. Then I saw a shadow appear in front of me.
You are nothing! I know you are weak when comes to saving people.
"That's not true! I have save a lot of people." I said.
How could you save people if you couldn't even save me!
I watch as the shadow took shape as my mother April and I was shocked to see her. I back away and I had tears in my eyes. She was floated around me and she was trying to hunt me.
"I knew that this legacy was going to be the death of me." Mom said.
"I didn't want to lose you to Drago. I tried my best to save you. I am sorry mom." I told her.
"Maybe, you don't deserved to be a power ranger. You just quit now and never be one again." Mom said.
I knew that she was right about all this and I had my power morpher on me. I knew that this was only reason that my mom is gone. I was about to hand it over to the shadow specter of my mom. But suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned around to see a light. It was a mom, but she had wings of an angels.
"Do you really think that I would say all those awful things about my baby girl?" Mom said.
"Mom? But how—" I said.
"I will always watch over you. I know that someone that is forcing you to abandon those that needs the Power Rangers. I have left this legacy for you and next the generation of purple Rangers that will be develop." Mom explained.
"No, I am the one that you should be listening to." Dark Mom said.
"I will listen to my mom that had live in my heart and I will try my best to keep the legacy of being a power ranger alive. And nothing will stop me from doing my mom's will." I said.
"I will not let you do that!" Dark Mom said.
"I believe that is my choice. IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" I yelled out.
I pulled out the morpher and morphed.
"PANTHER ZORD!" I yelled out.
I was now a purple Ranger and I was use the power to free myself from the hold of the monster. I looked at my mom one last time, but she was gone. I knew that this was the only time I get to see her.
At the command Center
I woke up and I saw that I was at the command center but I wasn't alone and I saw that others were strapped to the tables as well. I got up and I was looking at Alpha with a smile on my face. I was looking at the viewing globe to see that Tommy was in trouble and I looked at the others for a moment, but I know that time wasn't on their side.
"I have to help Tommy." I inquired.
"Then go, Diana and may the power protect you." Zordon said.
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" I yelled out. "PANTHER ZORD!"
Once I morphed, I arrive into the city and I saw that Tommy was on his back because the monster threw him. I jumped into the fight to back Tommy up and I did a side kick to get keep the creature away from him.
"Tommy, are you okay?" I questioned.
"I'm good." Tommy answered.
I helped him up on his feet and they both drew our swords. The creature had a staff ready for us to attack. Both Tommy and I started to attack the creature with everything that we got. The creature overpowered the both of us and we was on our own since the others hasn't woken up. Then I looked at Tommy for a moment and he knew that we have only two ways to take this creature down.
"Go for it, Diana." Tommy told me.
'Panther Zord, Battlizer now!' I called out.
Then the Pantherzord came out of the jungle and she had arrive into the city. She looked down to see me and Tommy which she shoot a beam at me. I started to transform into my Battlizer mode. The creature knew that we mean business and it was now scare of the both of us.
"Here, Tommy." I said.
I gave him both of my swords to combine it his Saba and the despair monster started to look at the both of us. I charge at the creature started to use the claws of my Blattizer and Tommy combine our swords into the Thunder Shuriken while I was keeping the monster at bay and it was tough though, but I wasn't going to give up. I used the claws to cut it and I moved out of the way.
"Now! Tommy!" I yelled out.
"Thunder Shuriken!" Tommy yelled out.
I ready my battlizer for the final strike.
"Final Strike! Fire!" I yelled out.
I release a beam while Tommy threw the shuriken which they combine into a huge blast. Once the monster was hit by our attack, it exploded and its spell over the other rangers was over.
Meanwhile at the Command Center
Normal POV
Billy, Kimberly, Zack, Jason and Trini was waking up because the Despair's spell was lifted and they all started to looking around to see that they were back at the command center. Both Zordon and Alpha was happy to see that the others was feeling better from their ordeal.
"What happened, Zordon?" Zack questioned.
"It's appear that both Tommy and Diana had defeated the Despair monster and remove the spell that lurk over you."
"Well, looked like that we owe both Tommy and Diana for their help." Jason said.
"I agree." Billy said.
"I just happy to see that they both were safe and sound." Trini said.
"I'll say but how did they do it." Kimberly said.
"They use the power of teamwork and the power of the battlizer." Zordon told her.
They all started to looked at the viewing globe for a moment and they all look at the both of them. They look at Diana in her battlizer.
Meanwhile at Zedd Castle
Zedd started to steam up because he just watch as his creature was destroy by both Tommy and Diana. Goldar was looking at his master. He knew that this was not going to end for him and his comrades. Finster was looking around to find another way to deal with both Diana and Tommy.
"I will not be defeat that easily. Goldar, go down there and deal with Tommy." Zedd ordered.
"Yes sire." Goldar said. "But what about the purple Ranger?"
"I'll deal with her." Zedd told him.
He summon the power of his staff which had dark electric energy flowing from it.
"Magic staff, make my monster grow." Zedd said.
He raise his staff over his head and send electric streams down to earth.
Meanwhile on Earth
The stream of lightning hit the earth and the despair monster started to raise up from the ground. Tommy and Diana looked at each other. They both knew that this was going to be bad for them both and the best started to attack them and they both looked at each other for a moment. They both knew that it was time for them to fight back with a little power of their own.
"Ready, Diana." Tommy questioned.
"You know it." Diana answered.
"I NEED WHITE TIGER THUNDER ZORD POWER NOW!" Tommy yelled out.
Then the tigerzord roar from the mountain and it started to jumped down from the mountain. The tigerzord started to charge into battle.
"I NEED PURPLE PANTHERZORD POWER NOW!" Diana yelled out.
Then the pantherzord started leaving the jungle and it started to charge into battle as well alongside the tigerzord.
"Ready, Tommy?" Diana questioned.
"You know it, Diana." Tommy answered.
They both jumped on top of their zord and the despair monster started to attack both of their Zords at that same time. Both of Diana and Tommy was about to fall out of their Zords, but they manage to hold on. Then they went inside of their Zords and they both started to put of their swords into their slots. They ready for a fight of their lives and the zords started to attack the Despair monster. The Despair monster return its attack on the two Zords. Despair drew its staff and started to unleash a wave of electric streams. Both of the cockpit was shaking because both Zords had taken damage
"Okay, I think that we should even the odds." Diana suggested.
"I think I know what you're thinking, Diana. Let's do this." Tommy said. "TIGERZORD!"
"PANTHERZORD!" Diana yelled out.
"COVERT TO WARRIOR MODE NOW!" They both called out.
Both of their Zords started to covert into their warrior form and once the transformation was completed, they were ready to fight the monster. Then the Despair monster use its staff one both of their zords. Diana started to use one of the sphere to counterattack, but her attack was bounce off and hit Tommy's Zord and Tigerzord went down. Then Despair started to attack Pantherzord.
"Take this!" Despair said.
The beast started to unleash lightning on the Pantherzord and the zord went down hard. The Despair monster was getting ready to finish both zords off at once. The despair monster was aiming its staff at the Pantherzord and it was getting ready to strike. Then the Despair started to use its power to finish the Pantherzord but the Tigerzord stood in the way.
Meanwhile at the Command Center
The other Rangers was looking at the viewing globe and they were watching the hold thing. Kimberly knew that Diana was going to need their help in fighting the Despair monster. Zordon knew that it was time for a knew Megazord sequence to be from with others thunder Zords.
"Zordon, we can't just sit here and watch. Diana need our help." Zack suggested.
"I am with Zack on this." Kimberly agreed.
"That's right." Trini said.
"Affirmative." Billy said.
"Very well, Rangers. Zack, Kimberly, Billy and Trini will help the Pantherzord. Both Alpha and I have been working on something that would help in this fight." Zordon explained.
"And I will help the best way that I can." Jason said.
"Good luck and may the power protect you." Zordon said.
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" Jason yelled out.
"MASTODON!" Zack yelled out.
"PTERODACTYL!" Kimberly yelled out.
"TRICERATOPS!" Billy yelled out.
"SABER TOOTH TIGER!" Trini yelled out.
"TYRANINOSAURUS!" Jason yelled out.
Meanwhile at the battle
The other rangers had arrive on the scene and they watch as the pantherzord went down again. Jason saw that the TIgerzord was trying to get back into the fight. He looked at the others which they all started to nod their heads.
"TIME TO CALL ON THE POWER OF THUNDER!" Jason called out.
"Mastodon Lion thunder Zord Power." Zack called out.
Mastodon Zord got zapped with Black Lightning and transformed into the Lion Thunder Zord.
"Pterodactyl Firebird thunder Zord Power." Kimberly called out.
The Pterodactyl Zord got zapped with Pink Lightning and transformed into the Firebird Thunder Zord.
"Triceratops Unicorn Thunder Zord Power." Billy called out.
The triceratops Zord got zapped with Blue Lightning and transformed into the Unicorn Thunder Zord.
"Saber Tooth Tighter Griffin thunder Zord Power." Trini called out.
The Saber Tooth Tiger Zord got zapped with Yellow Lightning and transformed into the Griffin Thunder Zord.
"Tyrannosaurus Red Dragon Thunder Zord Power." Jason called out.
Then the Tyrannosaurus Zord got zapped with Red Lightning and it transformed into the Red Dragon Thunder Zord. The Despair was surprise to see that the other was free and they knew that it was time for them to get their revenge on the monster. Then the Red Dragon Thunder Zord transformed into its warrior mode and it started to attack the Despair while Jason was buying time for both Tommy's and Diana's zords to get back on their feet.
"Alright. I think that you guys should start up a Mega Tigerzord." Diana suggested.
"No, Diana. Alpha and I have created a Transformation sequence with Pantherzord. Like the Mega Tigerzord, the pantherzord has Mega Transformation sequence." Zordon explained.
"Alright, Zordon. Okay guys. Mega Pantherzord sequence now." Diana said.
Then the Panther Zord started to convert back to its Warrior Mode then the four Thunder Zords arrived and the five Zords started to combine to create the Mega Pantherzord.
"Oh no." Despair.
"Firebird Mega Punch." Diana, Billy, Zack, Trini, and Kimberly commanded.
Then the Mega Pantherzord launched the Firebird Zord which it turn into a real firebird and it struck Despair. Then Despair was destroyed and they started to cheer and the battle was over.
Meanwhile at Lord Zedd's Castle.
Lord Zedd was upset that his monster was gone and he was even more upset that the Power was getting stronger. He started to head into his chambers to get some rest because he knew that this was going to drive him mad.
"I hate those Power Rangers." Lord Zedd mentioned.
Meanwhile at the Church
Diana POV
We all arrive at the church and I saw that it was still in session and we all walked in to take our seat. The reverend was talking about how my mother and we made it before it was time to close the casket. He was looking at me and he had a smile on his face.
"Before we close the casket, I think that the daughter of April should say a few words."
I was looking at my friends for a moment and they gave me a little push. I started to head over to the altar. I was looking around to a moment and I knew that it was the moment that I have been working on since the fight. Both my aunt and uncle was smiling at me.
"My mom, she wasn't just my mom. She was my friend that knew when she have time to explain that she is the reason to hope for the future. She told me that I have been the part of her life." I explained.
I looked at everyone to see that they were moved by my words and I even looked at my cousin. She was holding Tommy's hand to hold back the tears and she knew that she loved my mom. Tommy was rubbing her back and he knew that this was hard on her. Billy was wiping his face because he was crying and so was Jason, Trini, and Zack.
"She have been a teacher and the light that guide for my future goals. I am going to miss her deeply and I know that her teaching will live on with me." I said.
I place my hand on her lifeless shoulder and I started to return to my seat. Kimberly was holding my hand for a moment. She rest her head on my shoulders. I knew that she will live on and she will watch over me. The reverend started to give one last speak and he close the casket. Then we all started to carrying the casket off of the church and lay my mother to rest.
