~The one with the broken glass~

Standing in the kitchen, I bumped up against the counter when I saw Carlisle framed in the doorway, illuminated from the hall light.
My heart skipped a beat and I raised the glass I was holding to my lips and took another sip of wine. He moved towards me, slowly but surely.

"Hi honey, welcome home," I said, smiling, my eyes locked onto his.

Saying nothing, he gently grabbed onto my hips and his body connected with mine, instantly heating me.

I tried to set the glass on the counter, but just as his lips reached my neck, it slipped.
