Here is the new chapter, I'm almost done with chapter five, which will be about Halloween, then chapter six will be about Quidditch and the lead up to Christmas. Then I can do two things with Christmas, either I write a super long chapter with both Christmas at Hogwarts and in the US. If I do this it will take longer. Or I can seperate the chapter and because I'm not sure I can write 1000 words on a Christmas which only serves to introduce Thalia, Nico, Perseus, Annabeth and Thea, it will also include the aftermath of Christmas. You guys can choose.
Thank you god of all for writing the first review of this story! I'm very happy you like my story!
I own nothing.
Harry wasn't impressed by Hogwarts, at all.
Sure Professors McGonnagal, Flitwick and Sinestra were great teachers, but their curriculum was behind on every other magical school out there. Harry learned Wingardium Leviosa and all the Transfiguration spells when he was five and he was behind then. He learned the current topic of Astronomy when he was seven.
Only professor Sprouts curriculum was at international standards. (And that was because safety reasons.)
Quirrel stu-stu-stutters, which was extremely annoying and there was something creepy about him, but at least the book he chose was quite good.
Binns is a ghost, enough said.
Snape is probably very good at Potions, but he is a horrible, mean teacher.
And those horrible stairs! Harry doesn't mind exercise at all, but the stairs move! It's confusing!
He totally understood why the Olympias (as the school had started calling the first generations at Hogwarts) were speeding up their education so they could leave around his fourth year. It sucked so much he wasn't allowed to do the same by Dumbledore.
He was looking forward to flying lessons this afternoon, his whole year was. Except Hermoine, who was listing all the flying tips from any book she could find about it andere Neville, who was listening to Hermione.
Both almost jumped when the owl post came and with it, something for Neville.
Neville opened it to reveal a glass ball, Harry suspected it to be a remembrall. He was proven right, when Neville confirmed it, after Dean asked him about it.
Then the ball turned red.
"What does that mean?" Dean asked.
"It means that I have forgotten something" Neville answered.
"What?"
"No clue"
"Well then it isn't very useful, is it?" Ron remarked.
At that that exact moment Marie walked by "Neville, where's your cloak?" she asked.
Neville immediately gave her a hug "Marie, I love you!" he then gave her a kiss on her cheeck, making her bluss terribly, and ran of.
"I don't think he meant it" Seamus offered, probably thinking the Ravenclaw was embarrased (sometimes he understood the triplets when they sighed 'Boys').
"I hope he did " Marie remarked before walking away.
"Poor Marie, Neville..." one of the Weasley-Olympia twins began.
"...is so..." the other continued.
"...oblivious" the first one ended.
"Hypocrite" Jaime scoffed under her breath, just low enough that neither twin could hear it.
But Harry was sure someone worse had heard it, Laura. While Laura was a bit cold, she was both a gossiper and someone who loved to tease people. Her dream job was reporter. Harry honestly didn't understand how the girl had ended up in Hufflepuf.
She had made many friends though. Like Susan 'I actually prefer Sue' Bones, Hannah Abbot, Ernie Macmillan (he was more pompous than Percy, but also nicer) and Justin Finch-Fletchley, who was almost as rich as Harry without the Olympian vault. Laura did mention to have a incredible distaste for a boy named Smith, so not everything was perfect in Hufflepuf House. Not that it really mattered to Harry. He only cared if Laura was happy.
-QoK/THS-
Harry was so happy he could start skipping through the halls. He was on the Gryffindor quidditch team, he had a new broom, the communication mirrors were finally working, so Harry, Jaime, Laura and Marie could now actually see and speak to their friends and family while at school and Harry had gotten permission to tell Hermione everything. Which Harry promptly did.
He had also bested Malfoy in a duel, the boy had tried to get Harry to agree to a midnight duel (except Flitwick had heard them and thought it was a great learning experience on why you shouldn't duel, before you have finished school), which was why Gryffindor was now having a party.
The fifth, sixth and seventh years, except Percy and his girlfriend Penelope (who was a normal sight in the Gryffindor common room, even if she was a Ravenclaw), were drinking like there was no tomorrow. The third and fourth years were either just partying or trying to steal some alcohol. The second years had Astronomy and the first years (and Percy and Penelope, who were supervising and not really getting involved in the conversation) were sitting in one big (happy) circle.
The first years were: Ron, second youngest of a very big family and a enormous quidditch fan.
Fay Dunbar, only child who loved every sport she encountered.
Lavender Brown, also an only child. She was more into make-up than sports, but she was quite smart. (And Rons soulmate, poor her. The two weren't alike at all.)
Neville, Marie's soulmate, son of Persephone and Hades. He took after his mom, his brother Nico took after their dad.
Ginny was the younger daughter of Ares and Aphrodite (Angelina was the older). She and her sister were the only Olympias without at least one child-of-Kronos-parent, but they were probably the fiercest (discounting the crazy triplets).
Parvati was quite like Lavender only it seemed all the intelligence went to her sister. Harry wasn't sure it was possible, but it sure seemed like it.
Seamus and Dean were best friends and both, like Fay, incredible sports fans.
Hermione was his best friend at Hogwarts, she was completely fine with everything Harry dropped on her, as long as she would be able to meet Lois. She was reading at the moment though, she didnt like party's.
Jaime was, well you know, Jaime.
"Harry, where did you learn those super awesome dueling skills?" Fay asked out of the blue (shocking Harry out of his musings in the process).
"Ilvermorny"
"That's the American school right? What does it specialise in again?" Lavender asked, surprising Harry for a moment, before Harry remembered she came from a pureblood family.
"Specialise?" Dean asked puzzled.
"Yes, every magical school specialises in one thing or another, like there this Dutch school that specialises in licourice, syrup waffles, herring and cheese, so most of the classes resolve around those subjects" Jaime answered.
"Oh..." came from every non-pureblood (and Ron).
"What does Ilvermorny do, I remember Hogwarts, but not Ilvermorny" Lavender said.
"Basically it's mainly focused on living outside of the magical world, most kids of famous people go there because the first lessons you get are on how to control your magic, but it also gives lessons on technomagic and wandless magic, all for blending in".
"But how did you duel so well?"
"If you don't know the spells you can't cast them wandless" Hermione interjected.
"That's logical, what's Hogwarts' specialty?"
"Before Voldemort's war it was the older arts, like alchemy and rituals. Now it's just nostalgia."
"Oh..." came once again from every non-pureblood (and Ron).
"Jaime?" Penelope interjected "I was just wondering... What is the age difference between you and Harry? Because I heard you talking about your 'silly little brother' to Harry, and were you just teasing Harry or..."
"I'm a few hours" (and years, went unsaid) "older than Harry. I was probably talking about Perseus, he's ten and really silly."
"I didn't know you had a brother, Harry"
"You never asked, Ron".
"Do you have more siblings?" Hermione asked, finally paying attention.
"Yes. A big sister, Kara. She is twenty-one and she is silly too" Jaime eagerly said.
"Is you're whole family silly?"
"YES!!!"
"No"
"Ye-es"
"No"
"Ja!"
"Nee"
"Oui!"
"Non"
"Ja!"
"Nein"
"Naí!"
"Óchi"
"Etaim!"
"Nihil"
"¡Si!"
"No"
"Harry does understand he's only helping Jaime's argument right?"
"I dunno"
"How many languages have they used by now?"
"English, Dutch, French, German, I think Greek, Latin and Spanish, so six"
"wow"
"Wait! I think that was Norse!"
"How do you know that, Penelope?"
"I travel"
I hope you liked the chapter!
