Chapter 4: Mixed Feelings
Pit's POV:
I don't know if it's just me but while the sun settled, a glow came to Lloyd when he was leaning close to me. Why does he look like that!?
L-Lloyd is t-too close!? Wh-Why can't I move!? I'm just letting him get more and more close to me!? Ahh!? Wait I'm suppose to be observing for Lady Palutena...WAIT P-PALUTENA!? I FORGOT!? WHAT IF PALUTENA CAN SEE WHAT WE'RE DOING SHE'LL GET THE WRONG IDEA!?
"Pit? Are you-!?" Lloyd said calmly to me, it made me shiver
I pushed Lloyd away from me "Y-Yeah I'm fine!" why am I so nervous? Lloyd's just playing around with me
"It's okay, I don't know what came over me? I guess I wanted to tease you a bit sorry about that" Lloyd said turning away from me as he scratched his head
I hope I didn't hurt his feelings, then Lloyd finally said "But you know Pit I think of you as a friend, okay?" he smiled at me but somehow it was a sad smile
Why is he acting like that? Is he confirming that there's nothing between us? AH!? N-NOT LIKE THERE WAS ANYTHING BETWEEN US!? WHAT AM I EVEN THINKING!?
Lloyd said "We should head back to my place it's getting late"
I nodded and we went our way back to Sylvarant, without saying a world to each other
My heart is pounding in excitement, but why? Maybe it was how the night sky made Sylvarant glow or... it was Lloyd?
No way! That's impossible, we're both guys and he... would never think of me that way
"Hey Pit, are you okay?" Lloyd finally spoke to me
I responded "Yeah, I guess I feel a little shaky it might be because it's cold at night, ha, ha" Why am I even laughing!? It's my heart! You idiot! I feel so nervous for no reason! Of course I'm not okay!?
"Pit, come closer"
"Huh?"
Lloyd then started holding me close in his arms "Y-You know, you don't have to do that I'm fine"
He continued to hug me "I can't let my friends get sick in the cold night, especially you" Me? But why am I so special? I'm just an angel who can't even fly without Palutena helping me.
I let Lloyd hold me in his arms along the way, for some reason it made me feel safe and relaxed but my heart pounds gently with Lloyd like a melody
At Lloyd's House
We arrived at Lloyd's house and I'm glad too I don't think my heart can take another half hour being held by Lloyd in front of the whole village. I said gently stepping away from Lloyd "S-So I guess we're house and we'll be living together now for a Month."
Lloyd smiled at me "Yeah, I guess you're right"
We enter the room but it's really dark in here, where's the light switch... hm... Oh! Found it! I turned on the light switch and then-!?
"SURPRISE!"
Lloyd's friends popped out of no where and gave me a really heart pounding surprise, big enough to make my breathing hard but I'm fine for the moment
I said while panting "S-So um...what...is going...on...?"
Genis spoke first "What? Don't tell me Lloyd didn't tell you?"
Lloyd was suppose to tell me something "What is going on, Lloyd?"
All of a sudden Lloyd laughed a little "Well I tried to tell you in the forest but you wouldn't listen"
Colette shouted "Wh-What!? In the forest! You and P-Pit? What were you two doing in there?" I surprised Colette was so shouting out, I thought she was shy but what surprised me was she only did that when it involved me and Lloyd
Lloyd patting Colette's head "It's okay Colette, Me and Pit were doing his research on our world remember he has a report to give to Palutena within a month"
Colette smiled "Okay Lloyd I believe you"
While I watch the two being friends again I can't help but feel left out...
Kratos announced "Okay everyone time for the surprise party...no Welcome party to begin" I watched everyone frozen in shock, I guess because they never seen Kratos the first to begin the party.
I laugh a little so Lloyd wouldn't hear me "Yeah! Let's start the party"
Lloyd started jumping up in excitement, he's such a goofy ball but I don't mind, I never would have guess this part of a new world was a start of a new friendship for me and Lloyd and I'm glad I came to stay.
Colette said "Let's play a game"
Genis continued for her "I got it Truth or dare time!"
"Hey! Genis! You interrupted me" Colette pouted
Raine said with a annoying look "That's my little brother, short-tempered and still can't get a girlfriend"
Genis with the same look "Same goes for you sis, you couldn't even get a date with that attitude"
Raine shouted "SHUT UP!"
Genis shrugged "Okay! let's play the game, okay! Colette Truth or Dare?"
Colette thought for a moment then said "Truth!"
Genis smirked "Which boy in this room would you like the most"
She said instantly "Lloyd because he always protects me, right Lloyd?" Colette pulled Lloyd's arm near him and gets close
Lloyd said normally "Yeah I guess your right"
It's strange Lloyd has no effect on Colette, hm...?
Colette said happily "Lloyd, Truth or dare?"
Lloyd said "Dare! I'm up for the challenge"
Colette smiled but it can't be good "I dare you to wear a funny outfit and make one of us laugh"
Lloyd dashed off saying "Alright! Get ready to smile!"
5 minutes went by and Lloyd returned wearing a clown outfit
I was confused on how it this gonna make anyone laugh
Genis said "Really? That's your funny costume"
Lloyd said with a funny face "Yeah well it's better than wearing your clothes"
Genis got mad and said "Huh!? What the hell are yo-!?"
Pfft! Oh no...pfft I'm going to...
I laughed so hard because of what Lloyd was wearing and what he said "HAHAHA! Oh my! I'm sorry... I just...pfft! Hahaha!"
Lloyd said proudly "Made someone laugh! Mission accomplish!"
Kratos said to himself, which I can clearly hear "Why am I not surprise?"
Raine told Lloyd "Lloyd I think I'll take your place in this part!"
Lloyd whined "Aww! Why?" She continued "Because you have way too much fun" Raine's right but I still don't understand the point of this game.
Raine said pointing at me "Okay Pit your up! Truth or Dare?"
I was confused in truth and dare so... "Dare? I guess"
Raine said smirking "I dare you to Kiss anyone you like"
I jolted in surprise "Wh-What!? But what if I don't like anyone in that way"
Raine giggled "Just do it to anyone who your close to" Oh! She's good but I don't know why she did that and the only person I'm close to is...
Lloyd said getting upset "Raine-sempai! That wasn't cool! This is Pit's welcome party! Not your welcome party"
Raine made a smirk face again "Hey you either win or lose"
I finally accepted it "Okay I'll do it...L-Lloyd..."
Lloyd looked at me and noticed what I was about to do "P-Pit!? Wh-What are you-!?"
I interrupted Lloyd by a peck on the cheek, everyone was jumping up like they've seen something crazy
Raine shouted "Hey! That didn't count!"
I stocked my tongue out at Raine "Hey you either win or lose, right? Besides you didn't let me to kiss anyone in the lips"
With my statement, it left Raine in a daze but as for Genis "Oh! Wow! Pit you totally owned my sister! Nice!"
'Owned' What does that mean? Oh well that doesn't matter the game continued on but I noticed Lloyd's face is as red as I would have been if I were kissed like this, Oh! I hope he's not too mad.
Few hours past
"Um...I just have one question, Kratos.." I looked up at Kratos, man he's tall
Kratos spoke as he sat in the couch "Yeah, what is it?"
I shouted my lungs out "JUST WHO THE HECK DECIDED TO BRING ALCOHOL!?"
I started walking outside in the balcony trying my best not to get involved with the others. Everyone in the room was in toxic with alcohol, except for me and Kratos because I was that thirsty until I notice everyone acting weird as in drunk weird. Colette passed out sleeping on Kratos's lap, Genis was laughing like an idiot and Lloyd was...
"Hey Pit, wha...*hic*...wha cha... doin... outside...*hic*...it's cold...out here..." Lloyd was drunk but seemed kind of normal I hope. I scratched my head nervously when Lloyd was beginning to walk in my direction "I-It's fine, I'm not that cold and my weather seems perfect" Oh! I hope he doesn't try to get any close to me.
Lloyd slowly got to where I was and stood next to me "So you don't mind if I stay with you, right?"
For a second I thought over what he said and nodded my head "Yeah I don't mind, it's okay"
"So when you finish your report, I'm never gonna see you again" Lloyd said to me still drunk but he's not gonna remember so
I replied "Yeah, that's right, after this I have to return to Palutena and continue to serve her"
Lloyd suddenly slammed his fist in the wall "But why?!" I look over at Lloyd in shock and fear
I tried to reassure him "L-Lloyd, calm down it's oka-!?" but I was interrupted
He interrupted me with a loud shout, no one can hear us because everyone is just too drunk or they passed out "No it's not okay!? After all of this I won't be able to see you again! So is Palutena more important than me?!" I noticed Lloyd began to cry
I walked over to Lloyd and hugged him "It's okay, Lloyd you know if I had a choice to stay with you or Palutena it would be you" hopefully he'll feel better
Lloyd looked up at me "R-Really?"
I nodded "Yeah, of course"
Lloyd whispered in my ear "I like you, Pit" it's made me shiver again
What is Lloyd doing?
But he keeps saying "I like you" over and over, I had to say something
I said "Lloyd that's enough I understan-!?"
"I love you" Lloyd said to me softly
Huh? D-Did Lloyd said that he loved me?! "Wh-What do you mean by that Lloyd"
Lloyd grew closer to me "You know exactly what I mean by that, I love you"
I turned around, covered my ears and said "No! Your drunk, you don't honestly feel this way for me"
Lloyd crawled up behind me touching my hand seductively "But it's true..." Lloyd started moving his hand to my chin and came close to my face saying
"I love you, Pit" H-he's going to ki-kiss me!? M-My first kiss with Lloyd? My best friend?
He grows more and more closer to me then I...I CAN'T TAKE THIS!? "Sorry Lloyd but I can't do this with you" I punched his face and he passed out
Oh my! My heart is going crazy now!? But why am I just afraid? or something?
I should sleep no one will remember anything, I put everyone to bed including Lloyd and crawled into my bed. However I couldn't sleep at all somehow I didn't feel comfortable then I saw Lloyd sleeping on his bed. I know it might be weird but I had the urge to walk over to Lloyd's bed and lay down next to him in his arms. Still the same warm, soft and safe feeling I have when I'm with Lloyd.
Oh! I should right the report for Palutena, well here goes:
Dear Palutena,
It's my first day in Sylvarant and I already discovered something big, that the people in the village are really nice, or how Lloyd's friends are so welcoming of my stay with them. But Most of all, Being next to Lloyd makes my fear go away, or you can say he makes me feel safe, and he's a really cool friend to be with. Except I have one thing to complain about is my chest pounding whenever I grow near Lloyd I know it's weird but if you know what's wrong with me please let me know. Anyway I'm off to bed now!

From Pit
I send the letter of to a bird from Skyworld, Palutena will get my reports from today on. When I finished writing I look over at Lloyd and I can see that glow I saw when we walked together in the forest, Lloyd I'm afraid to understand this feeling I have but I hope it's not something serious.
Astrid: There you go everyone, I spent from 11:00pm to 1:38am just to write you this wonderful story now I'm going to bed
