"J'onn?" I asked recognizing the Martian in front of me. He looked a bit different though with his colours being harsher and more defined and his suit more warrior-like but still like the suit I remembered.

I felt the familiar feeling of the Martian as he went to probe my mind. Being used to it I subconsciously blocked what I didn't want him to see by speeding them up but gave him free access to the memories of the league. A minute later his presence left my mind and his eyes stopped glowing.

"You are from another world." He commented not really a question just as if he was thinking out loud. I nodded quickly and looked around the cave noting the dark walls and the river.

"Nice place you got here but I thought only Bats lived in caves." I joked enjoying the sound of my voice echoing in the cave.

"I assume you're referring to the one known as Bruce Wayne in your memories and not the flying mammal." He said reminding me so much of my J'onn.

"Don't let Bruce here that he is a bat through and through." I answered back shivering slightly as a breeze blew through the cave.

Suddenly I remembered why I was there in the first place. "Do you know where my friends are? One has a thing with Robin Hood and the other with leather, cats and whips?" I asked. J'onn just stared at me as he started to walk towards the back of the cave.

"J'onn?" I asked.

"You and your 'friends' may stay with us for a night but in the morning you must leave." He said sternly surprising me. I was taken aback and didn't know what to say as he continued. "The one known as Oliver is locked in our dungeon and the cat has just been apprehended and is on her way back." He said before making a gesture as if I should leave the cave.

"Oh... Um okay." I said stepping back. "Thanks." I said before I zipped away. This time I made it through the cave in record time which caused my body to dry. I stopped just outside the entrance and went back to walking normal.

Suddenly a darker woman dressed like a warrior walked up to me. "J'onn told me to bring you to the green hooded one." She said. When she spoke I immediately recognized her voice.

Vixen. I didn't say it out loud though because I could tell she already didn't trust me. She led me through the camp but most people avoided me. There were kids around as well and that brought a smile to my face even though the mothers would grab the children quickly and lead them away. Finally she stopped in front of another cave that seemed to plunge downwards at a hard slant. It was also boarded over by a large steel grate.

Next to it held a panel and she quickly pressed a code in being careful to avoid my gaze. The door seemed to hiss as whatever she did unlocked the door. "Automatic door wow." I said doing a low whistle. Out of the corner of my eye I didn't miss her glare.

"About time! Just through me into a hole! I survived an island and you think this can hold me!" I heard Ollie yell from within. Typical Ollie I thought as the door finished opening. I could spot him down the hole with his arms shackled to the wall his slightly long hair sticking to his face.

"You need some help buddy?" I called down.

"Laugh it up." He mumbled back as Vixen let go of his shackles.

"We have a room where you are to stay." She said making me feel even less welcome than before.

"Well as long as it's not in a freaking hole and is moderately comfortable I'm cool with it." Arrow said rubbing his wrists where the shackles were. In the next couple minutes we were left alone in a small tent with two guards stationed even though they would deny it.

"So what happened to you?" I asked Ollie not liking the silence and the feeling like we were in jail. At least they gave us some food even though it was a small amount. My stomach rumbled at that realization.

"Well after the do-hicky went off I landed right in the middle of these wackos." He began. "Well immediately they sounded the alarm and all went to attack me. So I did the logical choice and shot a bunch of arrows at them thinking they were zombies or savages until they overpowered me and through me into that hole." He said using his arms as emphasis. "What about you."

"I woke up in the forest." I said causing him to roll his eyes.

"Well didn't you get it good." He said taking a drink of the water they supplied us.

Suddenly commotion could be heard from outside of our tent causing us to stand up. The next second a tied up Catwoman was thrown into the room with us. She let out a hiss at the person who seemed to throw her in as she managed to cut the rope holding her.

"Well look what the cat dragged in." I said.

She looked back whipping around quickly before she recognized us. "Never thought I'd be relieved to see you too." She said mockingly although I could hear the relief in her voice.

"Same here Kitty cat." Ollie answered looking around the tent. "Only two beds." He said thinking about it. "Well Selina you can bunk with me all you want!" He said happily turning around his arms wide.

Later

I laid the farthest away from Ollie as I could knowing that he was a kicker. He was snoring loudly and hugging all the blankets much to my disappointment. I stared up at the tent roof wondering how my life had changed so much in the last year.

It was Strange who started it. The apocalypse that is. It engulfed Gotham in a matter of three hours leaving it uninhabitable. Thankfully I was nearby but I was only able to get Bats out and one kid before it exploded.

Losing Gotham was a huge blow on all of us but especially Batman. The public stopped trusting us as well not understanding why we had blocked off Gotham. It was actually the military that messed it up. They knew something was up and they managed to get into Gotham. One of them must of got bit because next thing we knew Jump City was having an outbreak and then later Star City and so on.

Surprisingly my city lasted the longest but even it wasn't impenetrable but at least we didn't lose it all. We destroyed the bridge from Keystone though and thanks to the technology from Gorilla City we were able to cut it off leaving it as a safe place for survivors.

Suddenly a crack sounded from the back of our tent jerking me out of my thoughts. I couldn't see anything in the dark but I knew something was out there. Four years in the apocalypse will do that to a guy. I got to my feet and debated waking up Selina and Ollie but decided to let them sleep as I walked towards the entrance being quiet as I kept my ears open for anymore noise.

I poked my heads out but didn't spot any guards on our tent. That worried me. I scanned the area when I saw a black shape move from behind a large tent. I quickly raced out of the tent going towards the shadows pressing the stealth suit button on my suit. Immediately it turned a dark grey but kept the yellow bolt in the middle. I saw two more guards one of them being what appeared to be this dimensions Booster Gold. Suddenly two black shapes jumped out hitting them both on the back of the head knocking them out.

I knew I had to do something so I chased after the two shapes tripping the one and side checking the other. The one crashed down while the other let out a cry of surprise but stayed on their feet. I turned around at the one who landed on their feet. He glared at me and pulled out a small knife of what appeared to be a knife before lunging at me. I dodged the first attack by jumping backwards but the other was already getting to his feet. These two seemed vaguely familiar though I pushed it down as the one pulled out a bird shaped projectile throwing it at me.

"Mmm to slow." I said as I dodged it delivering a flurry of punches at the one with only two connecting it was enough cause the one stumbled back giving me time to focus on projectile man.

I raced forward my arm ready to fight but he dodged my first attack jumping off of my back in a graceful flip. I didn't waste time as I turned around just as he dropped a smoke pellet on the ground causing the ground to erupt into smoke. I let out a cough as the unwelcome gas invaded my lungs and using my speed I raced out of the vicinity. I took a few huge gulps of fresh air before I looked back at the area.

If this was before the apocalypse I probably wouldn't have noticed the small movement at the corner of my eye but this time I did and I quickly took after it. I raced towards them the first guy noticed me though and dodged my wake but the projectile man wasn't as lucky as I grabbed onto him and pushed him against a tree.

Because of the force of the impact the hood over his face fell down revealing familiar blue eyes and long dark hair.

"Dick?"

A/N Sorry for the Hiatus. I just lost interest for awhile but I'm back now and I may start writing another story as well but I'm still bouncing around the idea in my head
