"Just Another Face in the Crowd"

Daphne straighten her back, her hand trembled slightly as she gather her gown. Even though she had returned to her corporal form weeks ago there was still many things that the blonde princess hadn't yet adjusted to- walking in heels was one of these things. A lesion she quickly learned after nearly taking a fall down the grand stair case in her own castle.

The blonde found herself wincing just at the memory as her cheeks grew crimson.

It seemed like no matter how she tried and tried, she couldn't seem to regain her balance. Resulting in frustrated feelings, and use of only flat shoes. Because when your own sister comments that you yourself in heels are as dangerous as the Trix- well, you know that says something.

Daphne shifted her weight from one side to the other as she slowly made her way down a long corridor. With every step taken the sound of an orchestra playing rang out louder and louder, and a wide range of wonderful odors filtered out.

Daphne's eyes fluttered closed; she focused on the joyful tune being performed and the delightful smell of what she quickly identified as chocolate. A smile spread across her face. However it only lasted a few mere moments, and her nervous returned.

You can do this Daphne, it's just a simple gala… With a nod, Daphne pulled herself away from the wall. She quickly ran a hand though her stray locks of hair and smoothed her dress. You have been to a million of these, no need to be nervous. Daphne slowly looked down as she cast up the large and full skirt of her dress. Her eyes focused on her feet, more specifically her teal colored hells.

Daphne's face dropped as she started to wither; mentally questioning herself as to why she allowed Stella to talk her into wearing heels.

A sigh escaped Daphne's lips, it was too late now. Her focus shifted off her choice, or lack thereof, footwear and onto the gala before her. Her eyes darted over the attendees consisting of royals and political figures from the various realms. There was some familiar faces; Princess Stella and Princess Aisha where some as well as her own family and Bloom's boyfriend, Prince Sky. But everyone else…well, none of them seemed in the least bit familiar.

Daphne frowned, it seemed whenever the blonde turned around she was yet again reminded of her time away from home…

No one beside my family and the Winx probably even remembers me. She mused as she clutched her hands, at least I can take comfort in the fact if I fall down no one will know who I am. At least there is chocolate. Chocolate makes everything better.
