Dropping the smile she observed the man before answering. "It wasn't intentional. I meant to summon a lesser daedra." pacing slightly she continued. "How or why you were brought I don't know."

His curiosity rising the man spoke, "Did you specify the creature you wished to summon or even the realm of oblivion to search." His question received only a blank look from her. "You have no idea what I'm talking about do you?"

Shaking her head Henrietta spoke, "The book didn't say anything about that. The ritual was just suppose to pool a creature from there."

"Ritual?" Velixare asked as soon as he heard it."There is no ritual, just the spell." As he spoke his hand began glowing a dark purple. Opening his palm he released the spell causing a portal to appear next to him. From the portal a clannfear stepped out, before it was promptly cast back into Oblivion."Where is this book you spoke of?"

He received no response from the princess. She was in shock from his spell. "That was wandless magic." Pulling out her wand she pointed it at the man, who simply raised an eyebrow at the action. "Your an elf!?" she stated more than asked.

Snorting slightly the man made no move. "An elf, really?" When he received no answer other than a glare Velixare began laughing. Calming down slightly he explained, "I detest the Altmer, although they do make excellent test subjects." The last part was mumbled more as an afterthought. Seeing his words had no effect he moved the hair away from his ears, "See not pointed."

Slightly lowering her wand, Henrietta kept it within easy movement for a spell. "If you're not an elf then how did you do that?"

"Summon the clannfear?" he asked eyeing her as if looking for trauma. "It's a simple spell, one all learn at the start of their training. As for how I cast it." Velixare raised his arm, palm up. "A simple application of magica allows me to do this." A small flame appeared floating slightly above his outstretched arm. "Don't tell me only the Altmer can do this."

Receiving no answer, Velixare visibly hunched forward, his hands held to his face. Unsure how to react Henrietta simply stood off to the side waiting for him to regain his composure. After a moment he did regain his composure, to a degree. He retained his apathetic tone, but his posture remained slightly hunched.

Looking at the princess he remembered what started the conversation. "About that book you mentioned. Where is it?"

As Henrietta moved to pick up something from the table, she thought she heard him mutter something. Paying more attention she was able to hear pieces. "Long… rest… ended" This caused greater confusion to rise within her. Did the man seal himself in the crystal? If so what was the reason? Pushing the information away for now, Henrietta returned to the man, carrying the book.

Turning to face the princess, Velixare took the book with very little interest. Leafing through it slightly, a single brow rose before he promptly slammed it shut. Before the princess could say anything, he burst into laughter. His laughter was not full of happiness though. Instead it sounded as if a dragon had learned to laugh and was at its burned prey.

After a moment his laughter calmed enough to speak. "This is what you used. This oblivion damned book." Holding the book lightly he used a slight amount of magica. The book burst into flames. "Even a novice would be a better source than this." Dropping what remained of the book, he turned back to the window. "It's a wonder I was brought here." Pointing at the book he continued, "You would have more likely opened an oblivion gate with that foolish ritual but of course you won't know what that is either."

The princess had listened to everything he said, unfortunately the majority of it was not understood. Even if she didn't know what it meant, she filed the knowledge away for future interest. Up to this point the princess had been silent, simply listening but with the man looking at her expectantly she spoke.

"I'm sorry." Was she sorry for his problems or her own though was what neither truly knew. "You never expected to wake up, did you?" She received a nod in answer before he spoke.

"When you accomplish all you ever wanted, little else can fill the emptiness." Velixare wasn't sure why he said it. Something about the girl seemed to connect with him, perhaps the sense of loneliness he felt. "You were seeking a daedra correct?" From the corner of his vision he saw Henrietta nod slightly. "For what purpose?"

Thinking over it slightly Henrietta responded, "I was hoping to cover a failure. The daedra," the word still felt unusual to say, "was to act as a familiar."

"A familiar? Ah a servant i presume." Again a nod was all he received. "Perhaps we can come to an agreement then." Turning to face her he continued. "As it stands I have little if any knowledge of history or the current state of Nirn. You on the other hand know both, but lack a servant, correct?"

"Yes." she answered unsure.

"I propose that in exchange for your aid, I shall grant you the servant you desire."

Frowning slightly Henrietta thought over the idea before answering. "I assume you mean like that creature you brought forth earlier?"

Shrugging he responded, "If you wish for that one yes. However I would recommend it only as a show off. Clannfears are not good at most tasks, and are rather troublesome."

Several moments passed as the two watched the other, each thinking of the advantages or disadvantages the deal would provide. finally the princess spoke, "Very well, I accept the bargain, on the condition the creature meets my approval."

As soon as she finished speaking a mad grin spread across Velixares face. Henrietta could swear she show mostly pointed teeth. "Very well my dear," holding out his hand he continued, "then by the ancient rules." Henrietta grasped his hand only to see a dark green light appear around them. "The deal is struck."

A/N Ok so yes I am both late in updated, and the chapter was pretty much just filler. Honestly I'm kinda stuck with this story right now. I have it planned out starting from where the show begins, but getting to that part is a pain and a half. With that said I'm looking for a co-writer to help me with these parts, and just the story in general. If you want to help send a pm.
