A/N: eeeeekkkk. I've started uploading again! I've been writing a lot, so I should have a few more chapters up today. Sadly, Here's A Lullaby is still nowhere near finished. I'm still struggling to find some rereading before I upload, so if you're interested please let me know! I won't include author's notes in the next chapters I upload today. Leave some reviews and let me know what you think! xoxo

Disclaimer: Yep, no owning of Kingdom Hearts.

In his apartment, Axel went back to cooking breakfast, "Anything you need to do, Rox? Homework or something?"

I looked at him and smiled, "One thing." I reached up and kissed him on the mouth. He wrapped his arms around me to pull my body closer to his.

He separated us and looked straight in to my eyes, "How have we only known each other for two days? I feel like I've known you my whole life. I don't get it."

I kissed him again, "Maybe we knew each other in a past life." He shrugged.

The rest of the day was spent asking questions. We were sitting on the couch, and it was Axel's turn. "Favorite food?"

"Sea salt ice cream. Yours?"

"Melon bread."

"Favorite memory?"

"Finding you at the coffee shop after my shift. Yours?"

"When my dad was nice, when neither me nor my brother were gay." The mood shifted.

"I think that's enough questions today, Rox. I'm tired."

I watched as Axel retreated to his bedroom. I don't think he knows what to think of my home life. I don't understand why he won't press the issue. It's like he's not worried, or he doesn't care. I looked at the clock. It was 2:30 p.m. I didn't want to leave Axel, especially without a proper goodbye. But I have to; I need to keep my mom safe.

"Axel?" I yelled.

"I'm in the bedroom!"

I walked towards his bedroom. Opening the door I said, "I need to leave, Axel. I am expected home today. So I'm going. Bye." I turned to walk out.

"Wait, Roxas. Don't be like that. When am I going to see you again?"

"I don't know. Soon."

"It better be soon. I'm not sure I can go without seeing you, okay? Don't forget about me."

"Never. Goodbye."

"Call me."

And with a quick kiss I was out the door.

A month passed with me skipping school at least once a week to see Axel. I would lie to my father and say I was tutoring after school, when really I'd be hanging out with Axel and his friends. There were tons of people around, always, but he always stuck to a few. They were Zexion, Demyx, and Larxene. Axel wasn't very close to the others, especially Marluxia.

I could always tell that whenever I would touch Axel in front of Marluxia, Marluxia would get antsy and act somewhat jealous. Today we were all going to Xemnas' house to watch movies. My father thought I was at Hayner's.

"Axel, are you ready to go?"

I was waiting by the front door.

"I think so. How do I look?

He stepped out of the bathroom so I could see.

"Amazing, as ever. You know you can rock the pajamas."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's get out of here, Mr. Impatient. We're late for being early."

"Oh shut it, you know I can't stand being late!"

"Mhm, I know. C'mon Rox. Unless, of course, you just want to stay here. It's plenty cozy in my bed, and we know very well we can both fit in it," Axel said, smirking.

I replied, "I know you'd like to stay here and bang all night, but we promised them we'd go. No disappointing."

As we descended the stairs, I remembered that I promised to call my mother when I had arrived at Hayner's. "Axel, wait, I need to make a phone call."

"To whom?"

"My mom. I just need to let her know I'm okay so she doesn't worry."

The phone rang a few times before she answered. "Roxas?"

"Hey, Mom, just letting you know that I'm okay. I'm at Hayner's."

"Roxas, there's no need to lie to me. We can talk when you get home, alright? I love you, be careful."

"Love you too, Mom." I hung up the phone. "She totally knows."

"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

"I know she isn't bothered by it, I mean, she knows about my brother and me and she doesn't have a problem with that. But that doesn't necessarily mean that it's a good thing. If my dad finds out, we're in big trouble." Axel made a concerned face.

"He won't find out, right?"

"No he definitely shouldn't."

"Good. Let's keep it that way."

We made our way over to Xemnas'. Just as I dislike, we were late.

"Axel! What the hell took you so long?" Demyx asked.

Axel looked at me and laughed, "As ever, I had to wait on babyface."

I punched him in the side, "Mr. Perfection over there couldn't even leave the house in pajamas without staring in the mirror for a half-hour."

They laughed at our tale. Marluxia looked uncomfortable. I mumbled to Axel, "Is he alright? He looks constipated."

He stifled a laugh, "Haven't you noticed that he constantly looks like that lately? I don't get it. Maybe you should sit by him. I bet that turd would fall out of his ass right quick." I couldn't control my laughing. Marluxia stared directly at me. He made me massively uncomfortable.

"Axe – look. If he keeps doing this I won't be able to be around you guys. He legitimately makes me uncomfortable."

Axel gently touched my shoulder, "Do you need me to say something?"

I smiled, "No, I'll take care of it myself, but thank you." I kissed him gently.

We sat on the floor in front of the couch Marluxia resided on. I purposely chose this spot so that when the time arose, I could confront him. When that time would be, I was unsure.

The movie they had put in went by slowly. I had hardly paid attention. I excused myself to the restroom so I could escape my boredom. As I reached the door, I heard light footsteps behind me. I turned around to face Marluxia.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

"Kiss me," he stated.

I was confused. He knew I was with Axel. "Excuse me?"

"You know damn well what I said. Kiss me."

"No thanks. I have a boyfriend to get back to."

I walked to the living room and shot Axel a look. He knew I was ready to leave.

"Sorry guys, but it looks like Roxy-boy isn't feeling too hot. We're going to have to run out on you," Axel said, trying to seem disappointed.

Marluxia reappeared in the hallway. "Yeah, sure. Have fun fucking," he spat.

Axel's face twisted in to rage. I grabbed his arm, "C'mon, let's go."

We briskly walked back to Axel's apartment. I could tell he was still upset over Marluxia's snide comment. I agree that it was completely unnecessary, but I'm not outraged over it. But then again, that could be because he ambushed me in the hallway. I gently grabbed Axel's hand trying to calm him, "I don't understand what you're so upset for. It was just a stupid comment."

Axel turned to look at me, "It wasn't just a stupid comment, Roxas. He was pissed. He's jealous and upset because we're together and he can't have you. That's it. I didn't completely realize it until now. What happened with him that made you want to leave?" I felt my face flush. "C'mon Rox, it's not a big deal."

I looked up at him, "Marluxia asked me to kiss him."

Again, Axel became angry. "How did you react?"

"My God, Axe, how do you think I reacted? I was shocked, then I told him I have a boyfriend to get back to." We were back to the apartment before Axel responded.

I couldn't tell if he was upset with me, or just upset in general. He had not spoken a word for almost an hour. I also hadn't pushed him to talk yet. But it was time. "Do you want me to go home? I mean, I can tell my mom Hayner got sick or something."

I waited for his reply.

"No, Rox. I want you here. I'm just completely shocked. How could one of my friends do that?"

I sat next to him on the couch and grabbed his hand, "You have no need to worry. I would never do that."

Axel looked at me, "Just please stay away from him. You'd be surprised at the lengths he will go to to get what he wants. Please be careful."

I just smiled at him. "Like I said, you honestly have no reason to worry. I'm not interested. I'm only interested in you."

Axel smiled and kissed my lips, "You're the best, my little Roxy."
