Author's note.
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or Pokemon.
And now to Ddragon21: Lily wasn't adopted, see I changed the story a bit to where Petunia was James's squib sister who, since she couldn't use magic, despised it instead.
Ok so we're going back to Juliet's point of view for this Chapter on the day that happened after the twins' birthday. I hope you enjoy it and always remember to Review at the End.
Chapter 3
The next day, when Blaze and I woke up, I fixed breakfast for the two of us and then we both headed out in the forest.
"Ok, Blaze, let's go see if we can find a pokemon to catch." I said to the little fire type.
"Char!" Blaze agreed letting out an ember attack. I smiled at her even as we headed deeper into the forest.
We had been walking for a while when, suddenly, I heard a shout from my left.
"Hey you! Want to battle!"
I turned and saw a boy wearing a blue and purple jacket.
"Sure." I said before turning back to Blaze and saying. "Come on, Blaze, let's win this battle."
"Char!" Blaze agreed jumping in front of me.
The boy smirked and pulled out a pokeball. He threw it and yelled.
"Go Caterpie!"
A Caterpie appeared out of the pokeball.
"I'll start, Blaze, use ember!" I told her and she shot red hot embers at the bug type pokemon. The Caterpie dodged and then his trainer order him to use string shot. The fire type was bounded by the sticky threads.
"Blaze, use ember to burn through the threads!" I told the little fire type quickly. I didn't want to lose this battle and I didn't think that Blaze wanted to either.
The fire type quickly burned through the threads and I told her to use scratch on Caterpie. The attack made contact and Caterpie had multiple scratches.
"Don't give up, use tackle, Caterpie!" The boy said and said Caterpie landed an attack on Blaze. She staggered back a little bit and then I told her to counter with ember. The attack hit the Caterpie full on and the bug type fainted.
The boy returned the Caterpie to its pokeball and then we shook hands.
"You're a pretty strong trainer." The boy said.
"You're not too bad yourself." I said before introducing myself. "My name's Julie, what's yours?"
"I'm Perry, I guess I'll see you around." Perry said.
"Sure thing." I replied giving him a thumbs up.
Perry smiled and then he made his way into the forest. I crouched down next to Blaze and said.
"You were awesome, Blaze, you pack a mean punch."
"Char." She said hitting the front of her chest lightly.
I smiled before asking her.
"How about we go and catch a new pokemon so that you can have a training partner?"
She nodded and we walked into the forest looking for a pokemon to catch. I didn't want to catch just an ordinary pokemon like a Caterpie or a Rattata, I wanted to catch something like a Pidgey or a Spearow. It was always good to have a flying type on your team.
Suddenly, a feathered pokemon attacked Blaze, pecking at her.
"Char charmander!" Blaze said indignantly before sending an ember attack at the pokemon. I pulled out my pokedex and pointed it at the pokemon.
Pidgey
Pidgey is a Flying Pokémon. Among all the Flying Pokémon, it is the gentlest and easiest to capture. A perfect target for the beginning Pokemon Trainer to test his Pokémon's skills. Pidgey's Gust power creates tornadoes.
I tucked my pokedex back into my bag and then I asked Blaze.
"How about we catch this Pidgey, Blaze?"
She looked back at me and nodded before turning back to the flying type pokemon.
"Ok Blaze, use leer!" I told her. Now the Pidgey looked a little reluctant to challenge my little fire type. "And now use scratch!" Blaze attacked the little Pidgey just as it tackled her. The Pidgey was about to fly up and use an attack when I yelled to Blaze. "Use ember, don't let him get in the air."
Blaze sent an ember out at the flying type and it flew across the clearing and into a tree. I pulled out a pokeball and shouted. "Go pokeball!"
A red light engulfed the flying type pokemon as it was called into the ball. The ball shook once, twice, three times and then it pinged and I knew that we had caught it.
"Yes, we caught a Pidgey!" I celebrated with Blaze for a second before going to pick up the pokeball. "Come on out, Pidgey!"
The little bird appeared and looked around. I crouched down next to him and asked.
"Hey Pidgey, can I give you a nickname?"
The flying type thought about it for a moment and then he nodded. I smiled.
"How about Peck? Seeing as you pecked Blaze before we even challenged you." I suggested. Pidgey didn't do anything for a moment and then he nodded.
"Great! We're gonna be a great team!" I said happily as I hugged both Peck and Blaze.
