Adjules, Kipepeos, Chainsaws, Oh My!
The four stepped out with their weapons ready and found themselves in a garage with two BSAA Jeeps as Chris went over to one that had a laptop in it as he accessed it.
"Is that how we can contact HQ?" AJ asked.
"We can send the data Dchant gave us with it." Chris said.
"Hmm?" Kido said as he saw a camera watching them before he shot it.
"What was that thing?" Sheva asked.
"That had to be a product of Uroboros." AJ said.
"A B.O.W. that scumbag Irving left behind to set us up." Chris added. "Considering what it did to Alpha Team...I think we're lucky to still be breathing if it wasn't for Nine helping us."
"If only we could've gotten there sooner." Sheva said.
"Yeah, we could've done something." AJ said.
"If we had, we'd probably be dead too." Chris said before putting a finger to his comm. "Chris to HQ, do you copy?"
"This is HQ. Excellent work out there with the Vanguard. We'll analyze the data immediately." The commander said.
"This whole town's gone to hell. The people here they're acting like those Ganado in the Kennedy Report and aside from that, there's something new, something we've never encountered before." Chris said.
"What's our course of action from here on?" AJ asked.
"Yeah, with our transportation taken out, we request a mission update." Sheva said.
"You all are to remain on mission." The commander said. "Capturing Irving is your top priority. We believe he may have fled to the mines on the other side of the train station."
"Wait, hold on!" Chris said. "You mean you want us to go with the Vanguard without no backup?!"
"Delta Team have been dispatched and are on their way. They will assist you in locating and apprehending Irving." The commander said.
"But wait, we can't…" Sheva started.
"I repeat, your mission stands. We can't afford to let him get away. Proceed to the mines beyond the station. Over and out." The commander said before the transmission ended.
"Guess were still going." AJ said setting up a beakon. "Kido, you've been out for awhile, you should take a break."
"Alright, you're up Haruto!" Kido said stepping onto it as Haruto appeared and had Kido's weapons on him.
"Let's rock!" Haruto said.
"I'll tag out too." AJ said. "Gotta stay fresh. See ya!" he said beaming out.
"Something tells me we'll need heavy firepower." Chris said. "For that reason, we should call Noel back."
"Good call." Sheva said.
"Here I come!" Noel said as she beamed in.
"Well, well, looks like we got ourselves some more firepower." Haruto said opening the case and inside were three H&K MP5 guns.
"These will come in handy." Chris said as the three each took one.
"Alright, I think we can proceed through this back door." Haruto said as they exited out and found they were at a pier as there was a destroyed boat in the lake. "Seems we'll have to make our way through this maze of crates." he said as they entered and eventually heard barking.
"Dogs." Noel said.
A dog was seen approaching out of a pathway, but what it did was gruesome, its head began shaking before splitting into two, showing multiple tendrils and a tentacle mouth with teeth.
"Watch out!" Sheva called as they opened fire.
"I've got this!" Noel said as she stuck bolverk into the dogs mouth. "Pull trigger!" she called firing a shot as it blew its head off.
"Attack from above!" Haruto called as there were Majini aiming crossbows down at them. Chris and Sheva expertly shot them down with their pistols.
"Guys, it looks like those dogs are another mutation product of Las Plagas, just like with those Majini." AJ said over the comms. "Kokonoe already took the liberty of codenaming the dogs who have that sort of mutation."
"They're known as Adjule and are pretty fast, so take them down quickly when they approach." Kokonoe explained.
The four continued on as they saw an overweight Majini only wearing shorts waiting for them.
"Th-that one looks tough…" Noel said.
"Is that a Majini as well?" Sheva asked.
"Yes, those are Big Man Majini, and are much resellient than the ones you've encountered so far, you'll need to fire more than a couple of shots in order to bring this thing down, use a flash grenade on it and go in for a melee attack when it's in a daze." Kokonoe said.
Chris threw a flash grenade as the Big Man Majini was stunned.
"Noel, pour it on him! Bring out Fenrir!" Chris said.
"You got it! Haaaaaaahhhh!" Noel called firing Fenrir as it launched the Majini into the air. "Nemesis Stabilizer!" she called firing a torpedo at it. The torpedo made the Big Man explode into its lower body.
They continued through the rundown areas, taking on Majini carrying shovels and pikes, as well as Adjule.
"The rest of the piers blocked off, we'll have to go through the sewer tunnels to find our way around." Chris said.
"Got it." Haruto said as they traversed through the sewers and reached the end as they came upon a gruesome sight, dead Majini.
"Oh my god." Sheva said before some of the Majini's backs began bubbling.
"Guys, guns up! We're reading a second BOW signature inside those majini corpses!" AJ said.
AJ was right, as springing from the spines of the dead Majini were some sort of bat like creatures that had glowing orange bodies similar to Uroboros at the bottom.
"I've got it, they're codenamed Kipepeo, they're easy to take down but difficult to aim at due to their small bodies, be sure to get a clean shot." Kokonoe said.
"Lucky for us were expert sharpshooters." Chris said.
True to his word, the four shot down the Kipepeo with ease and continued through the sewers before reaching a small market.
"It's too quiet." Haruto said.
"Keep on your toes." Chris said.
They came inside a shed and found keys to areas of the port, but then they heard screams of Majini as the horde was alerted.
"We've alerted a Horde!" Noel said.
"We're surrounded!" Sheva said.
"It's gonna get crowded in here really fast… Noel, switch out! We need a melee fighter to help when too many get in!" Chris said.
"You got it!" Noel said setting up a beakon and beaming out. Replacing her was Hyde.
"Let's go. Come forth, Insulator!" Hyde said pulling his sword out of his palm and began slicing through a few of them and a Big Man Majini appeared but didn't have the chance to attack as Hyde sliced him clean through.
"Still to many!" Chris said.
"Where's Kirk when you need him?" Hyde asked.
"You guys okay?" Kirk asked over the comm as the sound of a chopper was approaching. "HQ sent me to provide air support. It's gonna get hot down there so watch out." he said as he began firing rockets down at a few groups.
"I also have a little present for us to deal with long distant stragglers." Haruto said tossing two S75s to Chris and Sheva. "Sniper Rifles."
"Nice." Chris said. He and Sheva then used the S75s to clean up the marketplace.
"I'm gonna go on ahead. Stay frosty down there." Kirk said.
"Oh, hell… Kirk, heads up! You got multiple Kipepo's inbound!" AJ warned.
"What?!" Kirk asked before the group saw Kirk's chopper being swarmed by Kipepeo. "What the fuck are those?! Matthison to HQ, I'm being attacked by flying BOWs! I'm losing engine power! Oh shit! I'm out of control! Mayday, Mayday, I'm going down!" Kirk yelled as his chopper crashed further on ahead.
"Kirk, what's going on?! Come in, Kirk!" Chris called.
Kirk was heard screaming before the line went dead.
"This is HQ. The helicopter has been downed. All nearby units and friendly forces proceed to the crash site. Repeat. All nearby units and friendly forces proceed to the crash site." The commander said as Hyde switched out with Hitomi.
"I'm gonna go on ahead and check on your pal. If he's dead, don't go crying to me." Hitomi said as she leaped ahead.
The group continued further on as they found themselves in an apartment complex and up to a gate that lead the way to the crash site as heavy breathing was heard. They saw a Majini with a bag wrapped around its head showing only one eye as it was carrying a chainsaw.
"What the hell is that?!" Haruto asked.
The Chainsaw Majini started up its chainsaw as it sliced through the lock on the gate, opening it as it slowly approached the group.
(Cue- Executioner & Chainsaw Majini- Resident Evil 5)
"A chainsaw?! As if things weren't bad enough already!" Sheva said.
"All of you keep your distance! It's just as strong as the Executioner Majini, and if it hits you with its chainsaw, it's game over!" Kokonoe said.
"Sounds like fun to me. I'm on my way. Not much left of the chopper anyway." Hitomi said.
"So Kirk is…?" Chris said.
"From what I can see, yeah. He's definitely gone." Hitomi said. "Body's impaled on the chopper and is burning."
"Rest in peace, Kirk." Haruto said before noticing the Chainsaw Majini walking up next to a red barrel. "BOOM!" he called as he shot the barrel, causing it to explode and stun the Majini as he rushed in and dealt a right hook.
Hitomi then pounced in out of nowhere and clawed into the Chainsaw majini from behind. She then pierced it with both claws before grabbing its head and snapping it all the way around to face its back.
"Nice work, Hitomi." Haruto said as he picked up a key that the Majini had.
"No big deal. It was trying to kill us, so we had to do the same before he did." Hitomi said.
"Let's get to the chopper wreckage so we can confirm Kirk is KIA." Chris said.
The group used the key and continued on to the crash site as it was in a scrapyard.
"Oh my god…" Sheva said.
"Ah, Kirk." Chris said as they looked at his charred up body as the sound of more than one motorcycle were approaching as Majini holding chains were riding them.
"Now they ride motorbikes? The hell is up with these things?!" Hitomi asked.
"Dunno, but they're definitely dangerous."
A Majini was seen flying down ready to attack with its chain.
"Look out!" Chris called pushing Sheva and Haruto out of the way. Chris was caught by the chain, prompting Sheva to save him by shooting it off his leg.
"We're surrounded, now what?" Hitomi asked before gunshots downed the motorbike riding Majini.
"Delta Teams here." Chris said.
A Majini was about to sneak attack them before it was shot down by an African male as other BSAA troops approached.
