AN: Hi! I know I haven't finished that other story on this, but this idea has been bugging me and I lost the paper that had the other story on it so...
PS this assumes that The Doctor (10) and Rose are in a relationship and have been for a while.
PPS I would love a prompt if any of you have ideas...
PPPS Shout out the super cool little bug that sat on my computer and helped me write this! You're epic Tiny Tim!

Kill Me Quickly
He was worried.
Terribly, terribly worried.
Rose Tyler was acting strange. Not just the i-want-to-go-to-the-beach strange, or even the the-Doctor-did-something-horrible-and-doesn't-notice strange. It was a type of strange that the Doctor has never seen before.
Rose Tyler was avoiding the Doctor. Rose Tyler didn't want to go on adventures anymore. Rose Tyler avoided the Doctor's gaze (when she actually was in the same room as him, which wasn't often anymore) and when she did look at him he saw something strange in her eyes, almost like fear.
But that was ridiculous, Rose Tyler should never, would never be afraid of the Doctor.
But she was, and that worried him.
The Doctor was rarely scared, in fact the few times he was truly frightened was because Rose Tyler was in danger.
Right now the Doctor was scared.
He didn't have any proof that Rose Tyler was in danger, but her behavior had passed weird about a week ago.
And now, Rose Tyler was pacing in front of him.
She came up to him willingly for the first time in two weeks, took his hand and led him to sit on the bed. She sat next to him and opened her mouth as if to say something, but nothing came out. She stood up, clearly agitated, and started pacing. She was silent the entire time.
All of the possibilities ran through the Doctor's mind.
Actually, just one of them.
Rose Tyler was about to break up with the Doctor.
His hearts thudded nervously in his chest.
Everything suddenly clicked into place. The way she would avoid him. The way she wouldn't look him in the eye. The way she looked... ashamed... when he wasn't watching.
He wished she would just get it over with already. Spare him the pain of the anticipation. Be merciful with his killing. Rose Tyler had his life in her hands and she was waisting it, pacing.
"There's something I have to say..." She came to a stop directly in front of him, looking at her feet, biting her nails, choking on her words. He died a little inside with each syllable.
"I understand. I'll drop you off in the morning, or tonight if you really want." He chocked back tears, trying (and failing) to keep the pain off his face. All he could think was Please, oh please, just kill me quickly. Stop dragging it on and kill me quickly.
"You.. you... I'm sorry you feel that way. I thought we could be together still but, im sorry. If you want me to leave..." She broke down in tears at the end, unable to finish her sentence.
The Doctor was shocked, Rose Tyler didn't want to leave, but didn't want to stay either. "I mean, your the one that trying to leave! I don't want you to go! Thats the worst thing that could possibly happen to me! I don't even know what I've done!"
"What you've done? You haven't done anything! I'm not trying to leave! I don't want to go!" Tears still fell, but now Rose Tyler held a look of confusion as well as heartache.
The Doctor took a deep breathe.
So Rose Tyler wasn't breaking up with him. "I am utterly confused right now. Why don't we start over, and you tell me what you needed to talk about."
A look of panic crossed over Rose Tyler's face.
One second passed.
Two.
The Doctor held his breath.
Three.
Just kill me quickly.
Four.
"I'm pregnant."
Five.
The Doctor was in shock. Whatever he was expecting, it wasn't this.
Six.
They both stayed there, still. The Doctor sitting on the bed, a blank expression across his face, and Rose Tyler standing in front of him, bracing herself for rejection.
Seven.
Rose Tyler started to cry harder, misinterpreting the silence.
Eight.
Loud sobs filled the room but all the Doctor didn't seem to realize the distress Rose Tyler was in.
Nine.
I'm having a baby with Rose Tyler.
Ten.
He grabbed Rose Tyler's hand and pulled her closer to him. He wrapped one arm around her waist and used the other to push up her shirt, just enough to expose her stomach. He took the arm away from her waist and used it to gently stroke her belly. He leaned his forehead against her abdomen, and softly kissed the soon-to-be baby bump.
They stayed like that for a while, the only noise in the room was the Doctor's soft Galifreyan whispers. He told their baby of adventures and family and all the places they were going to visit in the future.
He also spoke of love.
He spoke of his love for their child. He spoke of his love for Rose Tyler. He spoke of his love for their unorthodox family.
