Dear Readers,

When I posted my first story, I swore I would never leave an author note as a chapter. It upset me as a reader and I did not wish to do so for those reading my stories. However, as I write this, I am starting to understand that leaving an author note as the chapter is more important than leaving readers with no explanation if something has gone wrong with future chapters, especially when there is no chapter to follow the note. Not even a teaser.

I have received the same review for a while now on both of my stories, "When will you update?" or "Please Update." Normally, I would not address these reviews unless it is very important and, as my sister has stated, telling the readers when I plan to update is not important. And while I agree with her, I feel I need to give you some reason for why I have not updated in all these years.

First, when I started posting these stories, I was a sophomore in high school. Back then, classes were not very hard and I constantly found time to write something on the side, whether it was during the breaks or waiting for class to begin. I always had a notebook with me for my stories. I have a one inch binder on my bookshelf full of story ideas from middle and high school. Every page in the binder has something on it; some have story idea summaries and others have the beginnings of a chapter, or even an outline or timeline. Both of my stories started in the binder. And how they left the binder is the one of the reasons for why I have not updated.

For a story to leave my binder, I must be inspired. This can be really hard because I am very inspired for every idea I get when they first appear in my head. The problem is keeping the inspiration going to write chapters. For Marriage of Healing, I came up with the idea and had time to sit there and push out the first chapter, which was back in 2008. I had even come up with why Kagome was in the hospital, but then I ran into a major problem. When you plan a road trip you make sure to mark where you are leaving and where you intended to end up. However, you also include every stop you might need to take during the trip. My problem was that I had point A, the first chapter, and a tiny bit of point B, Kagome in the hospital, but for some reason I kept going from those points to point M. I just could not get enough inspiration to fill in the gaps, and not for a lack of trying.

For I Have A Father!, my problem was slightly different. I had a separate notebook for this story which had the rough draft of the next chapter as well as the outlines of several more, including a timeline for how everything would play out. Since I posted the last chapter, sometime in 2008-2009, I could not get chapter 3 to where I wanted it for me to post it. So I had originally intended to hold off on the chapter, wait a little bit and then go back to it. Maybe by then whatever was wrong would come to me. Since then, I have moved at least four times and the notebook is gone. I have no other notes for it.

My third reason, as the inspiration was second, comes from the years 2009-to present day. When I started the stories, I was in high school. It has been six years since then and I am now in my last year of college. During those years, I moved at least four times, lost several loved ones, one right after the other, including a dear friend's brother. My mom nearly died twice, off and on the operating table. After my first semester of college, I was put on academic probation and was told if I did not improve, I would be dropped from the school. I also found out that I have O.A., which is a form of Arthritis. Needless to say, reality sucked and writing stories, my usual escape, had to be put on hold.

It has been almost five years since my probation and I have brought my GPA, which was 1.3, to 3.13. I have come a long way from that first semester, going as far as to receive the honor of being on the Dean's List Academic Excellence. My mom, while not completely alright, is doing much better, especially with her new shoulder. The deaths brought our family closer than ever. And throughout all of this, I have found myself looking at that binder every time I pass by it.

About updating my stories, for right now until I graduate, which is in Spring of 2015, both of my stories will be on hold. This does not mean I have lost interest. Right now, school is my priority. I have two classes, one this semester and the other next, which have to pass or I will not graduate. After graduation *knock on wood and cross fingers*, I need to find a job, but I will have extra time that can be devoted to my stories, with the hope that I will have inspiration by then. I do have a third story written which has five or six chapters in a rough draft form. Again when I have more free time, I will polish the chapters and post them, although it has nothing to do with Naruto or InuYasha.

Now, soon I will be putting up a vote for all of you. When I can start writing again, I need you to tell me which story you want to see updated first. Never done a vote before, so bear with me on it. Again, this does not mean I'm abandoning the other story; I just want to know where I should start.

The only thing I wish to add is about the binder. I have so many story ideas, everything from Naruto to Magical Miracle, Harry Potter to Avengers. I see something and an idea comes to me of a story. If you are interested in trying any of my ideas, send me a note and I will see what I have. Specify for what Book, Movie, TV Show, or Anime you want.

Thank you for taking your time to read this,

REYA-BELLA-ROSE
