"Senator Amidala." Anakin greeted as he and Ahsoka met her just outside of the Senate building.

"Master Skywalker, Padawan Tano." She replied, deciding that her husband was being formal since they were outside the Senate.

"Senator." Ahsoka replied, her tone slightly cold; she may have to protect the Senator but it didn't mean that she had to like her. Padme looked at Anakin questioningly but he just shook his head before walking to the transporter that would take them back to Padme's Courascant apartment.

"The Chancellor tells me the war is going well." Padme said later that evening as they sat down to dinner, attempting to make some form of conversation. Ahsoka had been giving her the cold shoulder the entire day and Anakin had been distant, treating her as if she was little more than a common protectee. She understood that he had to be somewhat formal, even when it was just Ahsoka there with them, but he could at least be friendly.

"As well as can be expected. General Grevious is still out there as is Count Doukoo and Ventress so I suspect that this is the last we shall see of Courascant for some time." Anakin said and she nodded, looking towards Ahsoka as if expecting her input but Ahsoka merely focused on her meal, effectively ending the conversation.

Shortly after dinner ended Padme excused herself to go work on some briefing's for the Senate meeting the following day and Anakin immediately shut the door and turned to Ahsoka, glaring as he did so.

"What the hell Snips?! Are you trying to get us caught?" He hissed and she returned his glare before she spoke.

"What would be the problem?" She hissed back and he almost screamed in frustration.

"Padme is a Senator Ahsoka and if she finds out we're together how much do you want to bet that she'll tell the Council? Do you want to get expelled from the Jedi Order?"

"No." She replied, her voice dropping slightly; Anakin's face immediately softened and he walked over and embraced his Padawan.

"I'm sorry I yelled at you Snips. I just don't want to lose you." He said, raw emotion clear in his voice. Ahsoka leaned up and kissed him, and he responded enthusiastically, pulling her closer until there was no space between them. Ahsoka deepened the kiss and the two Jedi temporarily forgot where they were as they reveled in the feeling of each other. However, they were soon brought back to reality as they heard a gasp from behind them.

"What the hell is going on here?"

Keeping his arm wrapped firmly around Ahsoka's waist Anakin turned and faced Padme.

"Padme-" Anakin began but she cut him off.

"Don't say a word. How can you look me in the face knowing you cheated on your wife?"

"Wife?" Ahsoka asked, anger in her voice as she saw Padme nod.

"And here I was thinking I could trust you." She said to Anakin before turning and walking away, Padme doing likewise and Anakin was left standing there wondering what he was going to do.

(I thought about ending it here but decided to keep going since I haven't updated this story in so long.)

After a minute Anakin walked out of the room, using the Force to guide him to Ahsoka. He found her out on the balcony overlooking the city. She was a mass of emotions; anger, sadness, but most of all hurt.

"How could you?" She whispered so quietly he barely heard it.

"Ahsoka-"

"How could you lie to me and tell me you loved me? How could you kiss me and act like everything was over between you and the Senator when she's your wife?"

"It is over Ahsoka, at least for me. If I'm being honest it's been over since the day I met you. I remember we were in the middle of a battle and you come through with the supply ship. Obi-Wan had talked to Yoda and gotten me a Padawan, knowing I would never ask for one myself. It just wasn't the way I operated. I was so annoyed that you'd gotten assigned to me but you just smiled that adorable smile and followed like you didn't want to be anywhere else. I still wasn't sure if having a Padawan was a good idea but then you nearly get us killed and I just knew that I couldn't let you go. I didn't want to acknowledge it but I loved you."

"I loved you since the minute I met you but I knew I couldn't tell you. You were my Master, we were both Jedi, there was a war; at least that was what I told myself. In reality I just didn't want to get hurt, but I guess It's too late for that."

"Snips I can't promise you I'll be perfect, I can't promise you I'll never irritate you, but I promise you that there's nothing else you don't know. As far as I'm concerned Padme and I are over. I will always love you, but if I can't be with you then I understand. If you just want to be my Padawan that's fine. If you want to get assigned to another Master that's fine too. I just want you to be happy Ahsoka." He finished quietly before turning around and walking away only to find himself caught in the grip of the Force as Ahsoka pulled him back to where he was. He didn't fight it, knowing he deserved whatever Ahsoka was going to say or do to him.

"You hurt me Anakin. I feel like you ripped my heart out of my chest and crushed it and I should probably get another Master and stay as far away from you as I can. But I love you too much to let you go." She finished and before he could say a word he found Ahsoka's lips on his own.

"Never keep something from me again." She told him when they finally broke for air and he nodded before they walked back into Padme's apartment. They stopped outside of her bedroom door where they heard something that made Ahsoka's blood boil.

"He almost found out Clovis."

"Relax, it's fine. He's probably so depressed that he won't even suspect a thing and his damn Padawan is probably too angry to think rationally, never mind keep an eye on you. I will see you tomorrow love."

"I love you." She replied and that was when Ahsoka snapped.
