I'm an idiot. When I thought Jacob said he worked in a specific factory, I thought it was CANNON! As in what is used in wars. I did question why he'd have to make a war weapon since WWI was over and nobody ever expected WWII to happen. Good Gracious! It'S CANNING! As in food cans or soda cans or whatever!

~ Jacob ~

In New York, a man in his early-mid forties sat in his three bedroom apartment staring out the window as rain crashed into the streets. He had come home from work an hour ago and though he urged himself to go to bed, for his early day tomorrow and the next couple of weeks, he couldn't bare to bring himself to the bedroom. Or even the bed. He rarely wanted to be in the bedroom or in that bed. A bedroom and that bed held too many memories for himself.

That's where Jacob and Queenie first kissed. First admitted their love for one another. First love making happened (not that it all happened in one night, everything was spaced out), but they all rested in bedrooms and that particular bed.

Even with a change of scenery, moving to a larger apartment for the hope that Queenie and him could ever be reunited and have their family there, it still hurt him to be alone without her.

He still couldn't believe it. Well, he could. But it still astonished him that Queenie picked the dark side. She had picked that side and expected him to cross to that side with her. First off, would Grindalwald even allow Jacob to be in the group? Would he be used to represent muggles and no-majs and or be used as the voice to combine everyone as one? If not than what the hell would Grindalwald use him for? Fun?

It took him a few weeks to finally grasp why Queenie picked the side that she picked. He understood why she picked it. The love she has in her heart is the reason. Queenie was not one to judge—wizard and or witch of full or half blood, no-maj (muggle) born or a squib. She only judged if you were a kind, goodhearted and compassionate or an evil, no goodhearted unkindly. The first part was her kind of people. So in her own heart and deep in her soul Jacob understood why Queenie saw Grindalwald as the kind, goodhearted compassionate wizard. But, it was wrong.

Jacob had been spelled by her. She used a spell on him to force him to get married and live in England—Newt saved him from this as he pointed it out to Queenie that he knew what she did. He was tricked and manipulated. It was a horrible feeling. How could someone do that to someone? But worse, what would happen to the world if someone from the magical community used magic to force someone to be with them (or do terrible things).

Jacob could not let that happen. As much as it killed him to not be with Queenie, he knew that by joining her on the dark side it was wrong. Manipulating people into things was wrong.

He waited for her. He's still waiting for her. Nineteen years and it still felt like a fresh paper cut on his eyeballs. He waited for the day she'd return. He looked with Tina all over New York. Tina looked in California since Queenie had an obsession with Hollywood. Nope, no where in the whole state. Newt and his brother checked all over England and Europe. Though the only thing that everyone had discovered was one statement: Queenie left Austria almost shortly after arriving in Austria.

Nineteen years. Would they ever be reunited?

They were meant to be together.

They were meant to be.
