The Beast's Keeper
Chapter 3
RAVEN'S POV
Robin replies angrily " So you were just ignoring the call?"
Stark looks lazily at him. "Duh. Isn't it obvious. We are trying to get ready for Shifter's brother and his team so if you wouldn't mind, tell me who you are and what you want."
"We are the Teen Titans." Realization dawns on Stark.
"You're her brother's team aren't you?"
"Yes, we are and we are about an hour away."
" ok, I will tell Shifter that. Just call when you are about five minutes away so I can set up the landing pad on the roof. See you later Teen Titans. And I hope you have a good flight the rest of the way. Sark out."
55 minutes later
SHIFTER'S POV
"They should be here in about five minutes." I hear Tony say, "I am just setting up the landing pad for them. Anyone want to come with me?"
Of course I say I will go. We are up on the roof of stark towers and I can see them in the distance with my super sight. Tony has just finished setting up the landing pad, and the rest of the Avengers have come up to greet the teenage team.
They land and walk out one by one. Robin comes out first with my brother leaning on him for support. I run up to Garfield or Beast boy. I take Robin's place, and my little brother looks up at me with a smile on his face. I smile back down at him then I look at the rest of his team. "I suppose it is time for introductions."
We walk inside and sit Gar on the sofa. I look at Robin and shake his hand "I am Shifter, Garfield's sister." He shakes my hand with a very small smile that was barely noticeable.
"Garfield… so that is his real name. The little green dude is not going to live that down." I hear who I think is Cyborg say.
Steve shakes Robin's hand, "I am Captain America, although I am also known as Steve which is what you can call me. That's Ironman aka Tony Stark, Thor, Hawkeye aka Clint Barton, Black Widow aka Natasha Romanov, and that is Bruce Banner who when he gets angry, is the Hulk. So try not to make him angry. It's good to see you came quickly"
Robin looks around the place then looks back to Steve, " my name is Robin, the leader of the Teen Titans. That is Cyborg, Raven, Starfire, and the guy lying on sofa is Beastboy. Can we focus now on what needs to be done, and get that collar off my teammate, please."
I look back at Gar to see him lying on the sofa, smiling, trying to keep Alpha from licking him in the face. I smile and walk over to him, and kiss him on the forehead. I can clearly see through his smile, though. He is in a lot of pain. Everyone is watching me so I look at them and ask them if they can leave the room so Gar and I can have some privacy. As soon as the door closes, the smile on Gar's fades.
He looks at me, "Please get this thing off me, Sis. " I look at the collar and decide to take it off. I know I will probably get in trouble for not letting Tony do this since it is line of expertise but this is my brother and he asked me to do it. I try grab it and receive a shock in return. It doesn't affect Garfield though. I smirk, they think a little shock is going to stop me from getting this collar off? Well they are wrong. I turn into a black panther, and easily crush the collar until it falls off Gar.
I runt back, and grin at Gar, " some people say that brute strength doesn't work …. I disagree."
"I agree with you Candy." He says returning the grin and sitting up, " so has anything happened since we last we wrote to each other? Besides of course you turning 17."
Aw he didn't forget. " well," I sit next to him and smile, "quite a lot actually. We found out that Loki was innocent. He was being controlled by some guy. He should be around tomorrow."
"really. Too bad as soon as Robin sees that the collar is off, he'll chase us back to Jump City. I could have met him."
"You are not leaving until I say you can. Robin can go chase someone else. Now let us go see what everyone is doing. Ok?" With that we got up and went to the door, hand in hand.
