Both teenagers hit the roof hard and rolled off each other. Bridgette rubbed her head, "Oof, sorry for the collision kitty."

He helped her up, kissing her hand, "Fault was mine, my lady. This cat seems to be four left feet tonight."

Bridgette giggled, Mari wasn't kidding. This was one smooth kitty. "I'd apawlogize for the delay, but it seems I wasn't the only one behind."

"My Lady, did you just pun? I thought that was my trick."

"I would never!" She brushed off the mistake, giving herself a short reprimand. This was for Marinette! She needed to get it together. No pretty kitties for her. Besides, sunshine child was made for Marinette. "I surveyed the east side of the city as I was coming here, seems pretty quiet. We can go through our normal loop and meet back at the Eiffel Tower in an hour."

Straight to business. Felix could see why Adrien was so smitten. Ladybug was confident and completely ignored his affections. As model and Paris' golden child, Adrien rarely got treated as a partner, an equal, a friend. Ladybug and Chat Noir were on the same publicity status, unlike Nino and Adrien, so they shared the weight.

"Chat?"

"Right, yes, that sounds good." He cleared his throat, smiling wide at her, which made his face hurt. When did he last smile so hard?

"You sure you're okay for patrol? I can take it if you need to go home and rest."

"Au contraire. I was momentarily blinded by your beauty." He bowed, "It will not impede my duties."

He got a running start and leaped off the roof, using his baton to balance and help him travel further. His actions were smooth and coordinated and he was grateful for the cover of darkness. Any true Chat Noir fan, and especially Ladybug, would surely notice the change of movement. Adrien flopped around too much, flinging himself head first without thought.

Felix was able to set up a steady rhythm for himself as he patrolled, using the baton as an extra limb to keep from falling. The city was unusually quiet, Paris slumbering with two masked heroes watching her streets. He reached the Eiffel Tower early, finding Ladybug already waiting for him, glowing in the lights, her legs swinging freely.

He landed softly beside her, "All is quiet, my lady."

She smiled up at him, a grand smile that somehow didn't reach her eyes. There was something familiar about that, Felix tucked away the thought for later as she responded, "Quiet on my side too Chat. We make a pretty good team."

"Yes, we do," He sat beside her, admiring the view. It was several long moments before he realized the silence. He was normally quiet. He cursed. Did Adrien tell him what topics to discuss? Was silence okay? Ladybug didn't seem to mind. She seemed….peaceful. Should he break the silence?

Ladybug glanced at him and gave a short laugh, "You look very intense there kitty."

Oh thank you darkness and masks. He did not blush! Felix does not blush. Clearing his throat, he said, "Sorry, just caught up in your beauty again, I suppose. I nearly forgot your present too."

He pulled out a rose he plucked on his way here. He couldn't remember if Adrien gave flowers to his lady before but he was trying to woo her right? Ladybug gasped and took the flower gently, "Thank you. It's beautiful."

"It pales compared to you, but I couldn't find anything close to your radiance."

"You do have your way with words, don't you?" She glanced up at him, a smile tugging at her lips, "Well, thanks for patrol. I'll see you next time."

Without waiting for his response, she got up and slid down the side of the tower, landing lithely on the ground and running off. Neither Chat Noir nor Ladybug realizing how off this was to any who knew the couple. And in the span of a night, a new normal was created and accepted between the two.

"Bridgetteeeeee." Bri groaned, pulling the pillow over her head. Five more minutes. Her pillow disappeared and thumped her, "We're gonna be late!"

She looked up, pulling hair from her mouth, staring at Mari in confusion. Late? We? Morning? She fell forward again. "Bridgette, come on. School."

A delicious smell wafted her way. Coffee. Coffee was good. She sat up and accepted the offering with a small nod as her cousin threw clothes at her. As the coffee filtered into her system, she blinked. Wait a second. "How are you awake before me?"

Mari smiled, "Just slept really good I guess."

"You've got your secret smile. Spill."

"Well, okay, don't laugh. It's Adrien's birthday today. And, last year I made him a scarf but forgot to sign the card. So I made his favorite cookies today and double and triple checked the card and I'm gonna give it to him today!" She squealed.

Bridgette smiled. "Ah the way to a man's heart: Dupain-Cheng cookies."

Blushing Mari disappeared in the closet, finishing getting ready for school, "I'm gonna go early and be sure to see him. See you at lunch Bri!"

She nodded, sipping her coffee. Sunshine child and baby cousin deserved each other. She was no longer convinced Adrien was Chat Noir though. Chat was…darker than she imagined. Not sunshine and rainbows but rainclouds and fireplaces. He flirted, sure, but he was so serious! She shook her head, no Adrien had to be Chat; Ladynoir and Adrinette was going to happen.

By the time she reached school, she flopped in her chair as the bell rang nursing her third coffee. Out of habit, she glanced at Felix. Perfect as always. Except…was that a hint of circles under his eyes? Did he stay up too late reading? Studying for a test? Did they have a test today? What subject?

"Bridgette Cheng, perhaps you would learn better if I projected my notes on Felix instead?"

She slumped further in her seat as a few snickered, "Sorry ma'am."

Stupid grumpy cats. Stupid late nights. But at least Mari slept well. And she kinda liked getting to know Chat Noir. Nothing beat Paris skyline at night. The twinkling lights, the cool breeze, a flirty kitty.

"Bridgette, I have coffee."

"Whaa?" Bridgette lifted her head to an empty classroom. "Did I fall asleep?"

"Coffee, then let's grab some food." Selina pushed the coffee into Bri's waiting hand and helped her up, leading her to the lunchroom, "How late did you stay up last night?"

"ummm…5?" She yawned, then took a sip. Warm coffee, good coffee. She stopped in the cafeteria, "Aww, baby cousin and sunshine child."

Sure enough, there was a blushing Marinette and smiling Adrien at the same table with Alya and Nino taking subtle pics. An unwrapped box of cookies was being passed around. About time. Selina pushed her into a chair, "Coo over them later. I'm gonna get you some food. Don't be stupid."

"Never!" Selina laughed and went to get food and Bri's gaze went from one Agreste brother to...an empty seat. "Hmm, missing grumpy cat?"

Coffee slid into her vision, "I still have this coffee...not Selina?"

Felix rolled his eyes, "This coffee will actually keep you awake, unlike that milk water you're drinking."

"Aw you do care." Bridgette smiled, which seemed to startle him for some reason.

"Hardly, you're snoring is disrupting the class." He put the coffee beside her. Was that a smile ghosting on his lips? Or was Bri just that far gone without sleep and too much coffee/sugar?

"Right. Thanks Felix."

"AKUMA!"

Both older teens whipped their heads around to the source, spying a hulking creature pass by the school. Bridgette sprung into action, running to Mari, grabbing her hand and pushing her into the nearby girls locker room.

"Stay there! I'm gonna make sure the others get out." Bridgette called, only leaving once she saw the tell tale pink flash. What would Mari do without her? The ground rumbled. Ladybug burst out and Bri quickly hid. "Go get 'em baby cousin."
