For once, probably the only time in the universe ever, Death was idle. He wasn't out collecting souls for once. He was taking a break, it felt…. Surprisingly nice, knowing that for once he didn't have to do anything at all. Of course, it wouldn't last; he had to get revenge for what the gods had done to him after all. For now he'd just travel around the world, see what had changed. Although he wasn't sure why.

After all, it hasn't been longer than a few days… Right?

Of course there still were no human settlements on Mt. Ebott, but that was to be expected. He "walked" down the mountain, it was a long way down, and by the time he got down, it was dark.

Heh… Darkness is truly befitting of Death.

He kept going, just picking a random direction, and following it. As he kept walking, the moon rose, and almost reached its peak before he noticed a faint light shining on the horizon. What? There's no way it can be morning already. It's not like the very fabric of time has changed.

As he kept going, the light got brighter. It was almost as if the sun was getting closer as he walked, not by itself. All of a sudden he broke free of the of the trees around him. All of a sudden he was surrounded by mortals –humans to be precise- and strange honking devices which they moved around with.

Wow, these creatures have grown lazy…. And so annoyingly peaceful as well. Time to change that.

A picked out a random human, looked at them, and pointed. Multiple humans around the one Death had picked screamed at the sight of one of their own suddenly falling down.

I've got a lot of work to do tonight.

He kept going around the town, killing random people in random places. As he kept going, he started to grow bored after a while, the panic was all around and some houses were even on fire. But it wasn't enough to satisfy him. When he was tired of all the screaming, he left. He went to look for another human town.

There was another large bulb of light on the horizon, and once again, it was a human town. A much larger one this time, he grinned and started his work again. However, there were multiple incredibly large buildings in the middle of all the smaller houses. It seemed that those were houses too, just a lot bigger and for a lot more people.

He went through it's roof and into the top floor, he killed three, four on the next, and two on the third. He kept going on like this, until he was about halfway through, and he tried to kill a running human. Somehow, it managed to dodge his attack, it had a little longer left to live. But only a little, Death's attack hit a large machine, with multiple papers stick out of it. The moment the attack hit, the machine exploded into a cloud of fire and metal.

Huh, so I can attack inanimate objects now. This could cause some nice havoc.

He was pleased with his work, as the huge building was on fire, and trapped hundreds inside. He smiled and moved onto the next one, he would destroy every single one of the huge buildings he could find. Until there were none standing, and all mortals knew his name.

Death…

Has returned…

Sorry guys, I'm unfortunately here to tell you that I might not be able to upload on time next week, as I have exams the entire week. Also, if something is in bold but not italics, it's simply something that nobody is saying, but is more of a message to either you, or "the entire world" enjoy!
