Duckie: Hey guys! I miss you all. So inspiration has finally hit me and I decided that I should write this all down before I forget it. Yay Drama! :D

So I was gonna have MerlinxArthur sex scene but then I changed my mind. Along with the MerlinxLancelot sex scene, which I considered for a long while then thought against it. Poor Merlin could have finally topped someone. Too bad I couldn't see him being very dominant with Lance. Whatever, anyways. So my birthday passed and guess what! I'm eighteen. Whee. Now I get to graduate in June and go off to college…. Is it too late to go back to childhood. I miss it. Being older sucks. /:

UPDATE: Hey, Sorry this is taking a long time. I have a lot on my plate right now with starting college and my grandfather being put on hospice. It's been really stressful these last couple weeks and I'm trying to catch up with the two weeks I've missed already. I hope you all are having a fine day though. I'm focusing on my stories right now because I hate that I wait until the last minute to write them, so I'm trying to get my creative juices flowing and get out of this rut I've put myself in. Plus, writing my stories kind of transfers me to another world and it's one of the times I can actually relax. So thank you all for caring enough to read my stories and write reviews for them. They really help and I'm so grateful to all of you. Thank you.

P.S. I just re-read all of the reviews I've gotten for this story and I'm literally crying right now. I've been super emotional lately, even to the point where I had my first panic attack. Let me tell you guys something, they are definitely much scarier when you have them then when you see other people have them. It's literally like everything shuts down. You can't breath, you're shaking horribly, and your hearts beating so fast. Luckily I was in my truck waiting for my stepsister and not actually driving. But anyways it's nice to be able to write my stories again and be able to have many people like it. I'm just so grateful to all of you. Just believe me when I say my heart goes out to all of you.

Chapter Four

It was silent in the room. Arthur was looking at Merlin pathetically, not knowing how to cheer up the raven haired beauty up. All he had been doing for the past week was stare blankly out the window. The only time he got him to do anything was when he forced him to do some chores, but even then it was sad to watch. He wouldn't even fight back with horrible jokes anymore. He acted like nothing more then a measly puppet and it was starting to both frustrate and concern the young prince.

"Merlin." he spoke softly, walking closer to the other male. He didn't acknowledge his presence, so Arthur reached out to touch the boy. When his hand landed on Merlin's shoulder though he watched in pain as the warlock's eyes widened and he turned to face Arthur, his eyes filled with pain and terror.

"Merlin, please…" he whimpered, his hand gently falling onto the other male's face. Instead of leaning into the touch like he had wanted, Merlin pulled away as if he had been scorched and scooted farther away from the prince. Arthur's eyes were fixed onto the man before him, well shell of a man now. He sighed before flopping unceremoniously onto a chair, running his fingers harshly through his hair.

"I'm sorry Merlin. I just wanted you for myself. I just… I care for-." he choked as his throat constricted on itself. It was silence for a few more seconds before there was a hand placed on top of his own. He flinched but they only removed his own hands before carding themselves through his hair. He sighed as they lightly scraped his scalp and rubbed at all the right areas.

"I know." came the soft reply. Arthur looked up to see Merlin standing in front of him. He was looking at him but his eyes were glassy, so Arthur knew he wasn't really looking at him. He dropped his head and sighed as Merlin continued to comb his fingers through the prince's golden locks.

"Let him go." It was so quiet that Arthur had just barely missed it. The fingers stopped and Arthur looked back up. The once glassy eyes were now completely focused on Arthur. A shiver ran down the prince's back from how piercing those blue eyes were.

"Let him go." Merlin repeated as he pulled his hands away from Arthur. The prince looked away from those blue orbs, not being able to look at them without feeling guilty.

"Why should I?" Arthur huffed. He wouldn't back down from this, no way. Merlin may care for the knight and Arthur may still see him as a somewhat friend, but the bastard still broke his nose. There was a pause before hands landed on the prince's cheeks, turning him to face the warlock. They gazed at each other for a few moments before Merlin finally spoke.

"Because then I'll be yours."

Arthur's eyes widened before they narrowed at the man in front of him. "Don't take me for a fool Merlin. I'm not going to free Lancelot just to be with you. I don't want just your body, I want all of you. I want you to look at me and only me." The prince huffed.

Merlin froze as he processed everything the prince had just confessed. He really did love him. But he had also broken Merlin's heart. However as much as he tried, he would always love the prince. A smile came to his face. He looked at Arthur before leaning down to touch their lips together. Even though it was just the briefest of kisses, they both let out gasps as they felt the electricity run through their veins.

"I will."

A wide smile came to the prince's face as he brought Merlin closer and kissed him. The kisses were soft and helped ease some of the pain Merlin had been feeling the last week. He didn't know why he had let himself get distracted by Arthur's words, they just felt so nice to listen to after months and months, maybe even years of loving the prince. Before he knew what was happening Arthur had pulled back from Merlin and looked at him surprised.

"Merlin," he asked in a quiet voice, "Why are you crying?"

The warlock looked at him peculiarly before he reached up and felt the warm droplets falling down his face. He looked at the moisture on his fingers and something inside him broke. The tears started cascading their way down his face and every time he tried to speak, his voice came out gurgled and unusual. Arthur drew Merlin close to him and started making cooing noises, hoping to calm the ravenette down. Merlin kept making sobbing noises until they finally turned into whimpers then just disappeared completely. The blond prince kept stroking the black hair, wanting to comfort the man, but the comfort just made Merlin feel sick. Why should he be the one being comforted when Lancelot was still stuck in the dark cell. He didn't deserve that. Arthur's comfort left a bad feeling in his gut. He couldn't stand it anymore. He had to get away from the blond. He pulled away from Arthur, not looking him in the eyes as he got up and headed towards the door.

"Merlin?" the prince asked, confusion evident in his voice. The ravenette stopped briefly before he continued walking, opening the door and just standing there. "Release Lancelot." he said before he walked out and left. Arthur sat there, not knowing what to do. He wanted to go after the young warlock but what good would that do. It looked like Merlin had reverted back to how he usually was. The flicker of the old Merlin had resurfaced just for a moment, but now it was gone. Was this all because he had placed Lancelot in the cell. Did he really care for the Knight that much. Arthur felt his stomach churn and he felt nauseous. I have to let him out, but if I do, Merlin will just return to him. However if I don't, what then? Arthur sat there, his feelings a mess as he tried to figure out what to do. With determination he got up and made his way towards the dungeon. He needed to have a serious talk with his best friend.

Meanwhile:

Merlin wasn't quite sure where he was going, nor did he really care. He was just wandering around aimlessly, his mind full of thoughts. He was so confused of his feelings for both of the men. On one hand, he had loved Arthur for so long and it was hard to just try and change that, yet Lancelot had been his light in the darkness. Whereas Arthur had been cold, sarcastic and mean, Lancelot had been kind, gentle and loving. He never picked on Merlin and he always made him feel wanted. He loved the caring nature of Lancelot, but he loved the passion of Arthur. Where Arthur would use force, Lancelot was relaxed. Arthur was fast, Lancelot was slow. They were polar opposites yet he found himself stuck between them. He didn't know which direction to turn to.

"What are you thinking about there Merlin?" A voice asked. Merlin jumped at the unexpected addition to his alone time. He turned and saw Morgana standing next to him, a small warm smile on her face.

"Oh, Morgana. It's-" he looked down, swallowing the lump in his throat. Should he tell her? Maybe she'd give him her honest opinion, yet Arthur was really good friends with her. However she did seem to be on really good terms with Lancelot too. Morgana waited patiently as he went through his inner turmoil between whether to ask her or not. She looked at him, like really looked at him. Last time she had seen him, his skin had a warm glow to it and a peachy pink color, now it looked way too pale and pasty. He had dark rings around his eyes and it saddened her. She looked at his once sparkling eyes and they were dulled. Her brows furrowed in confusion and worry. What had he been through since she last saw him. He finally looked at her to see her staring intently at him. His body tensed at the powerful stare.

"Morgana?" he asked, his voice timid and small. She looked up to see his obvious discomfort and relaxed her features, calming herself and the warlock next to her.

"Sorry," she whispered, "You just…" she struggled for the words. She looked up to see his quizzical gaze and her smile softened. "You've just changed."

He looked at her strangely before a huge smile spread itself across his face. He pulled her close and hugged her. She was shocked but hugged him back nonetheless. Once he pulled back she smirked at him.

"So are you going to finally tell me what you were thinking about?"

Merlin's smile dropped and he looked off to the side. "Well the truth is," he paused, what was he going to say next? Oh hey, guess what, I'm in love with the prince but also his best friend who I just so happened to accidentally put in a cell. Morgana grasped his hand and smiled at him reassuringly. He took a deep breath and then looked straight into her eyes.

"I'm in love with Arthur." he stated. He could see her smile widened but before she could say anything, he added, "But I'm also in love with Lancelot." Her smile fell and she looked down, a thoughtful look on her face. Merlin waited in silence, his whole body tense. He wanted to know what she thought of the situation. After a few tense minutes she finally looked up and said, "Well that sucks. I was rooting for you and Arthur but now that Lancelot's in the picture I don't know who I should root for."

Merlin burst out laughing. He couldn't believe it. She had said exactly what he had been thinking about. She looked at him confused until she started laughing with him. They both laughed together, wiping their eyes and clutching their sides. After a few minutes of laughing Merlin looked up and said, "I'm back to square one now."

They let out another round of giggles as they leaned against a nearby wall, side by side. After the giggle fest they sat down on the ground, just enjoying each others company and trying to catch their breath. Merlin took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

"Well, I don't know what to do." he confessed. Morgana looked at him and noticed his eyes were a bit brighter. She smiled knowing she had caused that. "Well you could always go with both." she said. Merlin looked at her in shock. She rolled her eyes, "You know, spend some time with Arthur, then spend some time with Lancelot. See which of the two you enjoy being with the most."

A thoughtful expression was on Merlin's face as he processed the new advice. It didn't sound too bad, maybe he should do that.

"Of course, you could always see if they would be up for a threesome." she grinned evilly and Merlin sputtered in embarrassment. His cheeks filled with color and it traveled all the way to the tips of his ears. He wouldn't go that far. Morgana giggled and bumped shoulders with him.

"Just follow your heart." she said before getting up and dusting herself off. She waved goodbye to Merlin before she left down the hall, taking a left into another corridor. Merlin sighed as he bumped his head against the wall behind him.

"My heart is the reason why I'm in this mess."

LATER:

Lancelot looked up as the dungeon doors opened. He heard the footsteps echo in the underground room, before they stopped right in front of his door. He looked into blue eyes and sighed.

"What do you want Arthur?"

The prince hesitated before he unlocked the cell door and walked in.

"We need to talk."

End of Chapter 4

A.N./ So I'm sorry the chapter is so short but I will try to do better next chapter which I PROMISE will be coming soon because I have a pretty rough idea of what I'm doing now. At first it was fun, then just confusing and now I'm actually trying. There will be at MOST maybe 3 more chapters. Unless I think of a better plot. But yeah. Hope you enjoyed this chapter. You get your awkward talk either next chapter or the chapter after that. Thank you again. I love you all. Until next time!
