This is getting interesting! I actually enjoy doing these, as it allows me to explore other possibilities.

Hope yee enjoy!

Rarity hummed to herself cheerfully as she set to work on one of many dresses she had been designing at the boutique. Her business had been booming lately, for there seemed to be no competition in the fashion industry that could top her own styles. She had a critical eye for detail and beauty, which proved to be a valuable asset in her line of fashion. Yet, something had been bugging her for quite some time now, a critical detail that had yet to be improved to her liking.

And that detail came in the form of the only human in all of Equestria, who seemed to avoid her boutique unless she was busy. Rarity let out an annoyed sigh, but one which held a hint of amusement. TD may have no real sense of fashion, but he did know how to be a gentleman when need be. He always tried to help out if he could, but he always made an excuse to keep away from her whenever she didn't have any work to do in the boutique. She didn't hold it against him though, for he had always been the type who hated having his hair touched by others. Yet, she always managed to get him to stay around and tweak his hair a bit. He still didn't like it and once threatened to leave her in a pile of mud with a couple of singing dresses. Rarity giggled at the thought, but her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her boutique doors opening and the culprit himself walking in.

"Hey Rarity," TD greeted her as he set down a small basket full of fabrics. Or at least small for him, considering that he was nearly twice the size of the average pony. Rarity put on a smile and said, "Hello TD. I was just finishing up around the place before locking up for the night. Did you need something?"

"Just delivering these fabrics to the only pony that has more class than the Canterlot residents," TD said with a playful smile.

"Oh, you're too kind!" Rarity said with a flustered look, "You're embarrassing me!"

"You're making all the Canterlot ponies embarrassed," TD stated. "If they could make even the slightest attempt at your style, then that'd be an impressive accomplishment."

Rarity blushed again, not really used to being complimented by him or compared with other ponies. She knew that he wouldn't like what was coming next, but she also wanted to talk to him for a bit.

"Well, while you are here, why don't we see what we can do about your hair. It looks absolutely horrendous right now! Seriously, did you just get out of bed?"

"No, actually the wind decided to be a jerk today," TD replied with a frustrated tone, though not directed at her. "It's bad enough that you are always messing with my hair, but to have even the wind trying to mess with it..."

"Oh quit your whining," Rarity ordered as she half forced him to take a seat and started to fix up his hair so it wasn't as messy. "It's not like I'm going to take away anything about your hair. Besides, you want to look your best in public and with that mess on your head you should be ashamed to appear in public!"

"I never did care much for outer appearances," TD muttered as she started combing his hair, "As long as I don't look like a wardrobe malfunction, it's good enough for me."

Rarity giggled a bit at the comment and continued to comb his hair. TD knew that there was no point in trying to escape this one, so he started thinking back as to how it all started with her.

When he first attacked Equestria, he had just as much trouble with her as anyone else. However, on his second attempt, she had decided to criticize his choice of apparel for the occasion and even got mad at him for tearing her new dress apart, as it was 'a crime against fashion.' TD found that rather hilarious to say the least. The third time he had tried to take Equestria (and technically succeeded this time), Rarity had complained so much about the interior designs of the castle before the Mane 6 engaged him that it had driven the Lord of Fire to the point of what was possibly his equivalent of insanity. He had tried to kill her first out of them all completely disregarding the Princesses and his original intention to rid Equestria of their influence, but Rarity herself had convinced him otherwise by offering to surrender herself into his service in exchange for sparing her friends. She also brought up several other compromises that were quite generous and fair for all sides. TD had agreed to this arrangement and locked her away while having everyone else be set free, but soon after a few days, he had realized just how much he missed her nagging and critical eye for detail. It made him realize just how much she cared about his wellbeing. So after only a few weeks, he had surrendered Equestria back over to Celestia and Luna entirely. To say that the drama queen was insufferable was a true statement, yet she wasn't hated by him. No, there was something else there, but he didn't quite recognize it yet...

"There!" Rarity stated, stepping back to admire her work, "It looks nice on you."

"You're worse than my own mother when it comes to my outward appearance," TD grumbled, but he still managed to give her a smile after seeing her handiwork, which he realized was an inaccurate term to use in Equestria. But what else would he call it?

"Oh quit whining!" Rarity scolded, "It's not like I just shaved off all your hair."

"Quit whining?" TD questioned. "Says the mare who wouldn't stop complaining about how uncomfortable and humiliating that experience in the Labyrinth was."

"You deliberately violated my privacy!" Rarity countered. A blush crossed her face in remembrance of that event.

"I was gonna end up doing that either way!" TD protested, "The only difference would be how much more uncomfortable it would be for both ends. Besides, I apologized for that at least five times!"

"Oh, you really do have no regards for a mare's personal space, do you?" Rarity demanded, though a hint of a smile was in her eyes.

"If I didn't, I wouldn't even bother to knock on your dressing room and constantly get as close to you as I am now," TD pointed out. He then realized what he had said and seemed a bit embarrassed.

"Uh, maybe I should back up on that note."

TD started to back away, but Rarity suddenly pulled him back.

"Did I say that it bothered me?" she asked.

"No, but we were arguing about your personal space," TD said.

"Well, maybe I don't mind this time if my personal space is disregarded for a little while," she replied, batting her eyelashes at him. It was then that TD started to catch on, and as if to confirm what he was thinking, the contact with Rarity gave him info on the emotions she was feeling. One particular emotion stood out from the rest, the same one he realized he was feeling for her.

"You...insufferable mare," he managed, "You nag me to pieces, threaten my makeover with a tune up, and to top it all you constantly have to remind me how I violated your privacy or messed up your makeover somehow. Yet somehow, I manage to admire it all..."

Rarity giggled a bit. "And you have terrible fashion choices, bug me with your Chaos, and utterly annoy me with your silly antics. Yet I manage to look at them in another light myself. I guess that makes us even, darling."

TD chuckled, then found that they were coming together slowly. He stopped her with his hand for a second.

"Before you do what I know is coming," he warned, "I feel it's only fair to warn you that I eat meat."

Rarity stopped for a moment, then smiled and said, "Oh we're definitely going to talk about that later on. But for now, don't spoil the moment."

TD nodded, then brought her into the previously interrupted kiss which she returned without any hesitation. He caressed her form against his own and one of his hands started to stroke her mane. At first, he thought that it was going to far, but for once Rarity didn't object to feeling his touch. Instead, she seemed to encourage this. He deepened the kiss a bit and heard a small sigh come from her. When they pulled away, TD grinned and said, "I'm gonna have to apologize to Spike for this one."

Rarity giggled, then said, "You know, the truth is that I didn't actually hate you for that incident back in the Labyrinth. I just wish you had picked a more romantic setting and had at least asked first."

TD's eyes widened a bit in surprise, then he laughed.

"Rarity, you cheeky mare! You made me so embarrassed about that, but to think that you actually didn't care..." He laughed again. "Sometimes I wonder if you're playing 'hard to get' or simply biding your time, waiting for the right moment to strike."

Rarity smiled and pulled him closer. "Well, I think I can provide that answer now."

TD smiled, then he noticed that her mane was no longer curled up, but undone as if she had just had a bad hair day

"Aww, I think I messed up your mane," he said sympathetically.

"Oh don't worry about it," Rarity replied, "I can always fix it later. Besides, I think I'd prefer to spend a little more time with you first."

TD chuckled, and pulled her back in for another kiss, unaware that the sun was setting on the horizon and the shadows of day lengthening into night.

Outside the reality...

TD looked away from the Palantir as the peek into the reality ended. Beside him in the room was the white mare herself, her jaw agape. TD really didn't blame her.

"You know, I'm starting to see a pattern in the way you act because of that," he said to her.

"How could I ever get myself to be attached to you?" Rarity asked him, slightly angered by the reality. "Is this some kind of joke you're pulling?"

TD gave a laugh. "If it was, then I would've pranked myself just now. I don't know what I'm going to see in this whenever I take a peek, Rarity. Trust me when I say, I'm just about as surprised as you are."

Rarity nodded, for she knew she could take his word. She then started to walk out of the room.

"Let's agree never to speak of this to anypony outside our friends," she stated.

TD chuckled. "Sure thing Rarity." As she left, he looked to those reading this and smirked.

"However, I think that some people and ponies alike may already know about it..."

"I can still remember when she would always be like, 'Don't touch me! You'll ruin the dress!' Good times..."

Who do you think should pair with him next? Leave me a message either by PM or review on what you think. Meanwhile, I'm gonna keep this train going.
