HGW X

Hope wasn't sure how long she had been in the captive hands of the Nazi's from Earth X. She wasn't totally sure how she was captured either, but memories of a sharp pain in her neck seemed to be familiar. Barry and Iris's wedding, going with Kara and Alex. The 'Nazi's' gatecrashing. The evil version of Oliver dragging her out and away from the rest of the party.. then.. darkness.

Until now.

She opened her eyes and a ruby red room blurs into focus. Scalpels, drills, saws and other instruments were neatly arranged on a long counterpiece and monitors beeped rhythmically. The red light eminated from a large, white tunnel like structure in the wall, it made her feel weak and drained. As she looked around the room, there seemed to be another bed to the right of her, a large oxygen mask laying innocently on the pillow, as well as a black gown, identical to Hope's blue version, in design. Various IV stands, table containing more instruments, desks cluttered with papers, books and test tubes as well as various medical machines, screens showing readings, maps with bright white dots dotted everywhere. There were small side rooms, made mostly of glass, where Nazi soldiers stood, guarding countless doors.

It looked like a hospital, maybe a dentistry, except... doctors and dentists don't usually strap down their clients to beds.

Dimmed light shone down on to Hope as the red sunlight continued to weaken her, her breath raspy, her eyes heavy, energy levels drained to rock bottom. She struggled weakly under the straps and restraints holding her down to the bed, two long black straps held her upper abdomen, and lower thighs in place as well as one cuff holding each wrist... she was trapped.

She heard the faint sound of footsteps.

"Strange isn't it.. feeling vunerable for this first time." a familiar voice said, Hope whipped her head to the source and found her eyes meeting... Kara... but..

"K..Kara?" Hope breathed, before coughing as her cells drained of solar energy every second. Kara approached Hope's bed, with a menacing smile.

"Poor little Hope, thinks her sister is actually coming for her." laughed Kara. Confusions came over Hope's face.

"But-" started Hope.

"Oh for Rao's sake... are you honestly that dim?" Kara came up close to Hope and met her eyes. "I'm. Not. Your. Sister. I may look exactly like her, I do, but everyone has doppelgangers... and I am Kara's. You can call me... Overgirl or The General." she perched on Hope's bed and eyed Hope up, she gently stroked her face and Hope flinched away."I expected more of you, I'm slightly underwhelmed. But don't fret baby Kryptonian, you still have importance, after all you are saving.. my life."

"Wha- How?" gasped Hope.

"The General, is dying." spoke a husky voice. A man clad in white surgeon scrubs, a hygine mask around his neck, his eyes thirsty and power hungry, entered the Laboratory. "Her cells have been.. overloaded with solar radiation, and slowly, painfully it's killing her."

Hope looked over at Overgirl, who seemed to be swaying slightly in the Red Light, gripping Hope's bed, she narrowed her eyes and smiled a malevolent smile at Hope, who was now pretty much human, almost fully depleted of solar energy.

"The only cure, is a new heart.. and luckily, we have two perfect donors. You and Kara." laughed Overgirl.

Confusion turned to fear as this dawned on Hope.

"My sister... where is she?" breathed Hope. Struggling more and more under the straps holding her down. Overgirl stood up, dizzy and stood by Hope's head at the top of the bed. She stroked Hope's hair and ran her fingers through it as Hope flinched. "Hush now little Kryptonian, if this little procedure goes wrong... Kara is donor 2, I figured, why not try the smaller, younger one first, give Kara something to cry for, if needed."

The white dressed surgeon approach Hope.

"My name is Eobard, incase you'd like to know." he said "Maybe it could be... reassuring to know the name of the person giving your life away." he eyed the General. "I will prepare for the surgery, maybe... you'd like a last.. girl to girl." and with that, Eobard busied himself with arranging and selecting his instruments he would use to take Hope's heart.

Overgirl eyed Hope up and down.

"You're looking more human now, scared, weak, inferior, helpless."

"We're not that different from them, you know." fought Hope.

"Oh please, spare me the lecture. We are everything that those ants want to be. Blonde, white, aryan perfection, don't you see?"

"I am nothing like you. I don't think I'm better than everyone else." spat Hope.

"You should... you are, Hope, you're a child God to them, so maybe... you should've acted like it. Shame you never got the chance."

"Acting like you? Looking down on everyone? I'd never wish to be like that."

"People look for someone to worship, to bow to, to lead."

"What your doing is not leading... it's ruling."

"Why yes, but that's what humans need, don't you see Hope?"

"I'd never what to be anything like you!" yelled Hope, straining and struggling on her bed, before coughing and collapsing back onto her pillow.

"It doesn't matter anymore, you won't get to."

The fear started to build in Hope's chest as Overgirl looked down upon her prey. She could feel the prickling of tears in her eyes, it burned and she longed to let them out, and soon she did. Tears spilt down her pale and pallid cheeks and they dripped on to her hospital gown, leaving darker blue patches due to her inability to wipe away the tears. She looked away from Overgirl, in shame of showing her fear, but Overgirl grabbed her by the chin and forced her to make eye contact.

"You really are pathetic." she said, before backhanding Hope. Hope whimpered loudly as her head landed back on her pillow, blood pouring from her lip.

Hope had lost all faith that Kara and the Legend's were coming for her, as she lay crying strapped down to that bed, barely able to move, she accepted her fate and prepared herself. She wouldn't want Kara to know she was scared, despite the horrible fear rising like bile in her throat. She looked around once more at her surroundings, the last things she would see, not exactly how she planned to die, but at least it wouldn't be in vain.

Stifling her sobs became harder and harder as the surgery grew closer and closer... but she had to be brave. For Kara, for herself, for everyone.

"We are ready to begin. General, I suggest we put you under now." announced Eobard. The General nodded and stroked Hope's face once more fondly, how twisted this entire situation was.

The general lay down, on the other bed wearing her black hospital gown. Eobard fixed her up with an IV, attached to a bag of fluids and various heart monitors, before whispering inaudible words in her ear and placing the oxygen mask over her face.

He walked over to Hope.

"Don't fret, your giving your life to one who will achieve miles more than you ever would." he said.

"My.. sister, she'll find you." gasped Hope as the Red sun started to inflict harm instead of just draining her energy.

"Your... sister, won't survive to do so."

This caused more tears to stream from Hope's eyes, which were red and sore from long periods of crying.

Eobard walked over to his table of instruments, selected a scalpel and inspected it, before returning back to Hope.

"Unfortunetly, little Hope, we need you awake for this procedure." he smiled, and he put his mask over his nose and mouth. "I suggest you relax, this will all be over in a second."

Hope's breathing grew rapid as the scalpel came closer and closer. A whimper escaped her lips as tears flowed constantly.

She flinched when she felt the cold metal tip of the scalpel hit her chest, and looked upwards, in hope to block out the pain of what will next ensue. How misguided she was.

The searing pain of the scalpel cutting her skin burned like fire, pulling a raw scream from her throat. Her back arched against her bed and the restraints held her down. Eobard cut slowly and painfully in a line, blood spilling and soaking into the hospital gown. The pain didn't reside, it stayed, it was agony. Hope had never felt anything like it. He lifted the scalpel from the insicion as Hope breathed deeply preparing for the next cut... when suddenly, all the lights turned dark. Every TV monitor, light, machine was cut of power.

Eobard looked around the room, his eyes blazing with anger. He put down his scalpel on the table and reached for a small syringe.

"If you think... this is rescue time... or escape time, you're very wrong." he said as he plunged the needle into Hope's arm, she could feel the cold liquid seeping through her veins. She gasped at the pain and struggled. "I will be back, very very soon to finish what we started, but for now, the sedative I just administered you, will render you unable to form any kind of escape plan." he smiled before speeding off in a flash of red lightening.

Hope struggled under the restraints, but the combination of red sunlight and the sedative made her eyes feel heavy, her muscles relaxed, and refused to move again, and soon she slid into unconsciousness.

Felicity and Iris's POVs

They'd just reached the side room leading to the main Lab where Kara's sister, Hope, was being held. They'd promised Kara, distraught at the capturing of Hope, that they'd find her, and Felicity had grown a special relationship with Hope over their last few meetings - she wasn't loosing her little friend today.

Felicity had managed to hack the power systems in Eobard's "secret evil room" and now, they were finally at the destination their plans led to. The jumped down, out of the ceiling vents, with their stolen guns, and before the surrounding guards could react, they whacked their guns against the guards heads, knocking them out cold.

"WHOO! Take that you Nazimother!" said Felicity wildly, out of breath.

"Hope!" yelled Iris.

The two women ran over to Hope's bed... their hearts sank when they saw the blood stain on her hospital gown and her unconscious state. Iris searched her neck for a pulse.

"Oh god no...no...no.." breathed Felicity as Iris felt around the child's neck. "Iris? Is..she..?" they both held their breath.

Iris breathed a sigh of sweet relief when she felt a weak thumping beneath her fingertips. She looked over at the table, where the empty syringe lay.

"She's alive, she's fine, just sedated." Iris said softly. She stroked Hope's forehead and hair, brushing it out her face tenderly. 'Hope, Hope sweetheart. Hope, we don't have much time, can you hear me?" ... no response from Hope. Iris looked around and ran to the counter.. maybe there was something anything, that could help. They couldn't move her until they did something about the cut on her chest, or she woke up. Felicity took over trying to rouse her, stroking her hair and forehead.

"Hope, Hope, it's Felicity. Iris and I, we're here, Kara sent us, she's waiting for you Hope. But, I need you to wake up, Hope, please." her voice was barely a whisper now. "Come back to us." she gripped Hope's hand in hers and cupped her hand round her cheek. And for the first time...

Hope squeezed back. Her eyes slowly started to flutter open, she took a deep breath, and tears were already in her eyes.

"Iris, IRIS!" beckoned Felicity over to Hope's bed. "Hey girl." she said softly to Hope, whose eyes were only partially open.

Hope mumbled something of a, "Hurts."

"I know, I know." Iris soothes. She turns to Felicity. "We're gonna have to carry her, Felicity, she's too weak."

"F..felicit..y" moaned Hope.

"Yeah, yeah I'm here, Iris is too."

"We.. have..ttt to go, he's...ccomingg."

"Shh, it's okay. Let's get you out of here."

Iris and Felicity unbuckled the straps holding Hope down to the bed, and with as much tenderness as she can muster, Felicity lifts Hope into her arms, and her head lolls back over her arms, as her eyes lay half open.

"Let's go. Got her?" asked Iris as they swiftly walked out the room.

The trio run down the unguarded corridors of STAR labs, searching for the rest of the rescue group. Felicity's muscles bulged as she carried the half-conscious child, following Iris. No guards came to stop them, Olivier must've eliminated all of them, Felicity thought - as expected.

"Where the hell are they?!" said Iris loudly, irritated and worried that they'd be found by Nazi's.

It was then they heard this unmistakable sound of Sara Lance's voice 'Secure the left and central exits. I'll head for the right.'

"Sara?! SARA?" yelled Iris, breaking into a run down to where her voice came from.

"Iris?" Sara replied as Iris, Felicity and Hope came round the corner.

"Thank god. Where is everyone?"

"Breaking the rest of the legends out, we're getting rid of these Nazi's." Sara paused, and looked at Hope, pale in Felicity's arms. "Jesus... is that..?"

"Yeah." said Felicity. "We need to find Kara and Alex, they'll know what to do."

Sara walks over to Hope and looks at the wound on her chest underneath her gown. "Did he...ya know..?"

"They started, but Felicity managed to turn the power out before he could continue, she's in a lot of pain. The red sun simulation depleted her solar energy...and that left her... like this." Iris said.

"Kara and Alex are in the main control room, to your right, on straight, down left." Sara directed. "I hope she makes it... she's a great kid."

"Thanks Sara." the women said as they rushed off in their different directions.

Following Sara's directions, they ran down left towards the buzzing voices of the rest of the team. They bounded through the double doors and landed in the centre of commotion, everyone stopped and stared at the trio standing in the middle of the control centre, clutching a deathly looking child.

"HOPE!" Kara yelled, as she sprinted from a conversation with Alex to Felicity. "Oh god... oh rao, oh roa...oh Hope. What did they do to you?"

"She's fine, just sedated. They started the surgery, but I cut the power before they could continue." Felicity pulled back a section of Hope's gown, revealing the insicion made on her chest. Kara covered her hand with her mouth to stifle her sobs. "We found her strapped down to a bed, unconscious, but she's woken up a bit since then.'

Kara looked into Hope's half open eyes, and cupped her hand over Hope's cheek.

"Hi baby, Hi. I'm here now, I'm here." whispered Kara. She took Hope in to her own arms gingerly, and before putting her down on a nearby table. Her limbs flopped limp as her eyes continued to open and close... open and close. Alex approached them.

"Oh Hope." Alex said sorrowfully, and she inspected the cut. "It'll heal when her power's have recharged, for now, I don't have anything to heal it."

Alex rubbed Kara's back comfortingly, she knew how much Hope meant to Kara - even since they were teens, Hope was always Kara's no.1 and seeing her vunerable and hurt was never easy. Kara leant her head on Alex's shoulder, before turning to Iris and Felicity, who were approaching the sisters.

"T..tthank you so much. For.. everything, I-" thanked Kara as she embraced Felicity and Iris in a hug.

"Oh Kara. Don't thank us, honestly, Hope is one of the sweetest, bravest, kindest kids I know and I...we, wouldn't think twice about fighting for her safety." said Iris, as they released each other from the hug.

"She is the coolest." nodded Felicity.

"Always has been, always will." laughed Kara through wetted eyes.

"Kara." a small voice said. Kara turned around and stood by the table where a now conscious Hope was lying. She took Hope's hand and stroked her hair.

"Hey pretty girl." soothed Kara. Hope breathed heavily as she emerged from her sedated state.

Hope moved up to touch to burning, painful area on her chest, but she was met with Kara's warm hand pulling her away from it.

"Don't touch it darling, I know it hurts, your powers will be back soon."

'Hurts Kara."

"I know, I know." Hope moved her hands downwards, to push herself to a sitting position, but her right arm buckled beneath her and she narrowly missed slamming into the side of the hard table, being caught and supported by Kara just in time. "Easy." Kara slid onto the table and lifted Hope onto her lap, sitting her upright as Hope buried her face in Kara's neck.

"When are we going home?" Hope mumbled.

"Soon, baby, soon."
