View of Ivy
It was in the lavender. All along. A hole, deep and well hidden. Just big enough for a medium-sized pokemon to escape out of. It must have been how Ninfia escaped. I jumped down the hole, landing softly on disturbed earth. The tunnel was dim, lit once in a while by small torches. The air was musty, after all, it was a tunnel dug underground. A small lump of earth stretched down the length of the tunnel, turning with it. Ninfia... she found a Diglet tunnel, just to leave. It doesn't seem like there was a struggle, either. It must have been a peaceful group... I followed the tunnel until I could see a light, more bright and clear that the rest. Sunlight! I don't know how long I was walking, but I couldn't see my last turn, and my paws were clumped. Pausing by the exit, I took a minute to groom myself and cool down in the breeze flowing from the north.
An angry voice arose from behind me. "What did I say, Ivy?!" Spinning around, I saw Suicune standing, sad and obviously tired, facing the direction of the wind. "If you got out, I'd have to... well, I said kill, but... I'd have to kill you. Your feelings, memories. You'd know no one, and have to repeat your life. Fifteen years wasted, Ivy."
I forgot. She did warn me. She did say. I did choose to forget. Taking a deep breath, I responded. "It's not like it matters. I'd be better if I just left. Yeah, I love him. So what? It's not like he'd ever love me." My voice rose to a shout. Tears came flooding. "I love Frostbite! So what? He'd never love me! I'm already dead! He'll fall in love with someone else! I should be happy! But... he'd never love me!"
Suicune snickered. "I'm sorry he had to hear that." My jaws fell. I whirled around. And, sure enough, Frostbite was behind me. He actually looked different. His eyes showed intelligence.
"Ivy! What-" Frostbite looked like he ran days to get here. How long had it been? Almost a month? No... It couldn't have been. Chi, Haruhi, and Cu poked their heads out from around the corner. Ninfia followed, and stood worryingly close to Frostbite.
"Frostbite-" I cut short. Frostbite looked away. Snarling, I lunged at Ninfia, and managed to inflict a rather large and moderately deep gash in her flank before Frostbite pulled me away. Usually, I'd be happy to be as close to Frostbite as I was now, but anger overcomes love. Using his trust and gentle ways to my advantage, I flipped over and pinned him down, so he couldn't defend himself or attack. He looked at me with pitiful, smart, and sorry eyes. He relaxed his muscles, expecting a harsh gash or wound. I bit down, and he clenched his eyes, but I couldn't use enough heart to hurt him. Instead, I released, backed off, and ran towards the nearest safe place I could. Turning West, I ran towards the woods.
