A/N: hey guys sorry for not updating! blame school D: I was planning on updating this right after I posted 'Those who care' but I had to do something important that unexpectedly came up... So I got this idea while preparing with my fellow band members for our school festival and also one of the episodes from K-ON! (luv that anime soo cute X3) so again sorry and thank you for all the reviews, follows, favorites, etc. etc. etc. :) so without further interuptions let's go on with the story!

P.S: I know that the characters are OOC and I'm terribly sorry! :( also sorry for any mistakes and grammar, English is not my native language

Disclaimer: I wish I did own Durarara but sadly I don't :( but I do own Nora Koizumi (ne what do you think about the name?)

A few days have passed since the whole class had heard the two most dangerous guys in school sing, many were astonished up until now and some girls couldn't stop giggling each time one of the two passed them.

Shizuo didn't like the attention all that much, he was used in hearing people say bad stuff about him and his usual response is always: "I don't give a shit" but it feels somewhat new to him hearing people whisper about him on how good he was at singing.

Izaya on the other hand was very pleased in having all the attention he was receiving from his beloved humans, Though some (particularly girls) are envious of his talent and voice that they would throw him glares as he walked passed them but he ignored it nonetheless.

after their lunch break all the students went back to their respective classrooms and waited for the arrival of their next teacher.

Shizuo sat in his usual seat which was near the window and beside the flea.

their homeroom teacher came and began writing on the board.

everyone in the room was staring at the words which was neatly written on the board.

|School Festival|

the teacher propped her hands on her desk and began speaking.

"Now I'm sure everyone of you is aware of the up coming school festival* amI right? But this year there will be a few activities added" the students looked at each other then to the to person speaking in front of them, a girl whic happens to be the class representative Raised her hand, "might I ask but what were the added activities?" The teacher smirked and looked at everyone in the eye.

"The battle of the bands"

some of the students began whispering in excitement!

the newly added activity for the school festival caught the interest of a certain raven and blond haired students.

the girl with shoulder length and raven hair with green eyes spoke again "but who will be the ones to represent our class?" The teacher crossed her arms "thats what we're about to discuss! Now does anyone want to volunteer? By the way the members for the band has a limit of four" All eyes automatically landed on Shizuo and Izaya who for once was only sitting down and listening.

"huh?" Both males said in unison, shizuo was about to ask why the hell were they all staring at him when the raven haired girl beat him to it "how about Shizuo-kun and Izaya-kun?" the teacher pushed her glasses to the bridge of her nose and nodded while muttering "mhmm mhmm two handsome boys with stunning but beautiful voices together in a band? Not bad"

she then pointed her finger to Shizuo and then to izaya "alright it's settled then Orihara and Heiwajima-kun you two will the ones who'll represent this class for the battle of the bands! Just find two more members to join you and your ready to go! Nora help these out will ya?" The said girl nodded and smiled cheerfully "yes ma'am!"

shizuo and izaya stood up together with shock visible on their face "you want us to do what now?!" The both said in unison.

the teacher sighed and repeated what she had said earlier but this time a little more slowly and simple for the two boys to register in their minds "you and you..." She pointed at Shizuo and then at izaya "form...a... band... together... Okay?"

the amber-eyed teen growled "I know but why the heck did you pair me up with this flea!?" Even though Shizuo admitted to himself that he liked izaya he can't and wont show it to anyone much less admit it.

"the same goes for me shizu-chan out of the people in the world why did I have to be paired with a protozoan like you?" Izaya turned his head from shizuo.

"shut the hell up louse" The blond glared at the shorter male

"and what makes you think that I will actually listen to you plebeian?"izaya said while returning the glare.

"This flea never ceases to piss me off does he?!"

"because if you don't I'll rip off your tongue you annoying brat!"

"I dare you and who are you calling a brat you stupid brute?!"

"who else? Mr. Know-it-all"

"idiot"

"piece of shit"

"rotten brain"

"annoying bastard"

"a short tempered idiotic bastard"

"little prick"

the class slowly backed away from the two afraid that they may be caught up in one of their fights.

"SHIT HEAD!"

"MORON!"

"Okay that's enough you two" came a voice where everyone was surprised to find out the owner of the calm voice that stopped the useless arguing between shizuo and izaya.

the two turned their heads to look at her with the same pissed off expression etched on their face while the green-eyed and raven haired student smiled and spoke calmly. "Listen please it will only be up until the day of the performance if you want I could help you two find another member but please cooperate" she looked at the two males in the eye "after the battle you both could go back to bickering and chasing each other but until then tone it down a bit please?" Shizuo and Izaya could only nod in response as the girl patted their backs.

"well that settles it!" After making her way back to her seat the teacher smiled and looked at the two males who were still standing.

"you have a week to prepare, you may start finding the other two members today and by tomorrow you can start practicing" Izaya and Shizuo looked at each other in the eyes "fine" they said in unison.

"great! That'll all be for today class dismissed" the whole class started to gather their respective bags and headed straight for the door, Nora asked if Shizuo and izaya could stay so that they could discuss about the preparation for the band.

"this'll be a long week" the blond teen sighed as he made his way to his classmates desk together with izaya.

A/N: so you guys like it? The next chapter will reveal the other two members and what Shizuo and Izaya together with Nora were discussing about what to do for the band :3

by the way in case you are confused Nora isn't going to be part of the band she's just their to help them with the band and maybe much more ;)
