Ash woke up early the next morning.
While he was walking to the bathroom, he took a quick glance at Meloetta. Her hair covered up a part of her face.
Ash didn't think much of it and went to the bathroom. A few seconds later, Meloetta woke up. She rubbed her eyes and looked around for gold.

She looked under the bed, in the kitchen, and in the lobby of the pokemon center. She finally gave up and sat on the bed.

Or She could think that he was an intruder and attack him. He decided it was safer to stay in the bathroom until she was done.
