Just gonna clear some stuff up now before we get started today!
First of all, no matter how much it may seem like it, this not, I repeat, it is
not a TenmaxOC fic. This is a kayouten fanfic through and through.
And do not fear! More vampire culture and stuff will be explained gradually throughout the story to clear up any confusion with them!

Okay, that's all! I'ce already planned out later chapters, where the real plot gets started... *cackles*
Once again, thanks so much to the tumblr user 'i-smell-kyouten' for helping me out with the plot!

Shindou realized why Tenma hadn't replied and brought his hand to his mouth, covering the fangs, "Ah, sorry about these, I was just heading to the forest to get something to drink when I saw Cici heading this way."
Tsurugi looked surprised to. He definitely wasn't expecting this.
Shindou laughed at their reactions, "There are more vampires around then you think. Right Kirino!?"
At that moment, Kirino walked onto the field holding a first aid kit. He nodded before walking up to Tenma and putting a bandage over a cut on his arm. It wasn't bleeding much, but Kirino didn't want anything getting out of hand.
"Woah, you and Shindou and vampires to, Kirino-senapi?"
Kirino nodded again, "Must be a surprise!" He chuckled, finishing up with Tenma and helping the boy up before going to stand beside Shindou.
"Since when were you two vampires!?" Tsurugi exclaimed and Shindou shrugged,
"Since round the 1860's."
Tenma blinked, "but if you're over a hundred years old, why do you still look so young? By what Tsurugi told me you should look at least 21!"
Kirino smiled, "Well vampires who are more in tune with their skills can stop and continue physically aging at will. Shindou and I decided to stay around 14 so we could keep up with the times!"
Tsurugi gave a quizzing look towards Kirino and Shindou,
"So is Cici starting a territory war or something?" he asked. Tenma just assumed that he meant that Inazuma town was basically their terf.
Shindou gave a little laugh, "Oh, no, this town is all yours Tsurugi!" He paused for a sec before continuing, "We lost are territory a long time ago."
The rain started to stop and Shindou started to walk away,
"Kirino, Tsurugi, you two should being Tenma home, I'm going to the woods for a drink to get rid of these fangs!"
Kirino nodded and helped Tenma off the ground,
"I'm glad we got here in time!" He said with a smile.
"I really wasn't expecting you and Shindou-senpai to be vampires to!" Tenma exclaimed, "Tsurugi, why didn't you know they were vampires already?" He asked.
Tsurugi Shrugged, "All I knew is that there were about 10 or 11 other vampires in the school. That's it"
Tenma's eyes widened, "Wow, vampires aren't as rare as I thought!"
Kirino replied this time, "We're actually all over! You know that lady who owns the hairdresser nearby? She's a vampire. The second year English teacher is to." Kirino continued as they walked out onto the streets, "The family in that apartment are vampires," He said, pointing to a tall apartment building. He waved at the owner of antiques store as they passed by, "She's one to." Kirino said, referring to the owner of the store they just passed, "There are a lot more than you think!"
"That's so cool!" Tenma replied, "So anyone around us right now could be a vampire?"
Tsurugi nodded, "Basically."
They reached a certain street and Tsurugi waved goodbye to the other two, "Kirino-senpai, could take Tenma the rest of the way? My house is down this way and I have some things to do at home."
Kirino nodded, "Yeah, I'll see you later!"
Tenma smiled and waved back before he and Kirino continued on.
"Say, Kirino-senpai, what was that weapon that Shindou used earlier?"
Kirino glanced at Tenma before looking up into the sky, "It was a scarlet rod. I have one to. They're a very old weapon that Shindou and I keep around for the memories they hold."
Tenma nodded, and a silence hung in the air for the rest of the walk. As they turned onto Tenma's street, Tenma asked another question,
"Say, Kirino-senpai, just wondering. You said you lost your territory a while ago, what happened to it?"
Kirino sighed, "Our terf is back home in Europe. Where we lived before we had to escape to Japan to avoid being found out."

When they arrived at Tenma's house they said their goodbyes and Kirino was about to leave when he said one last thing to Tenma, "Also, be careful. Shindou and I were really worried something'd happen to you. Remember that a vampire never needs your permission to turn you." After that he muttered the words, "I should know." And walked away.

Yes, I'm just going to stop there.
I would write more but notebook is all theb way in the other and that's just way to far to walk.
