Insufferable

...

..

.

A long ring of a bell signaled the end of the school day; its whiny insufferable chime effectively adding up to a certain genin's rising temper.

It's been precisely 10 minutes since their jounin instructor left with a poof.

10 long minutes of sitting in silence as she watched her teammates be caught in their own little world once again while they glare at each other with heated passion.

And honestly, if she didn't need the two of them alive and well when they apologize to their instructor; Sakura would have already thrown them out the window the minute they decided to emit their testosterone fuelled rivalry.

.

With an annoyed huff, she sent them one of her notice-me smiles so they can stop their staring contest but to no avail,

No, of course their annoying little boy pride wouldn't be caught dead in admitting defeat to their intolerable sparing partner.

Deciding enough was enough; Sakura stood up from her seat to march up to the two idiots so she can give them a piece of her mind.

She trudged up the stairs as she fixed the two of them a glare before clearing her throat to catch their attention.

When it didn't work, she let out a long suffering groan. Okay, let's do this the hard way.

.

"Hey, guys?" She asked ever-so softly as to gently coax them to listen to her. She dropped her scowling glare to favour a sweet little-teenage-girl disposition.

.

According to Ino boys always go for the innocent ones.

.

When they still didn't turn around she made a shy little squeak that was effective enough for Naruto to whip his head around to gawk at her, his blue eyes wide with confusion as a pinkish blush formed around his whiskered cheeks.

He squeaked like a goose for a second when he realized she was addressing to him before giving her one very awkward smoulder.

"Oh, hey" he croaked before stumbling forward. Probably the first time a girl ever addressed him directly.

He catched himself quickly before he landed face first to the ground. Trying once again, he gave her one of his mega-watt smiles.

"Sak-"

"Sakura" A low baritone voice addressed as rustle of clothing was heard, taking her eyes of the little bundle of sunshine in front of her; Sakura fixed her gaze on Sasuke. Her smile polite and angelic as she watched him size her up like an overly confident gorilla.

The said gorilla, gave her one of his scalding don't-interfere glares before hissing like a cat.

.

"Mind your own business"

Naruto automatically froze like a Popsicle because of the remark before glowing red; like some-sort of fairy tale hero, he prepared to jump to Sakura's rescue to save her from Sasuke's asshole tendencies.

But before he can even mutter some sort of profanity at the raven haired teen, a pale hand stepped forward as Sakura gently grasped Sasuke's shoulder.

She cooed slightly as she walked right into Sasuke's personal space bubble, ignoring the fact that the action is totally utterly unwelcomed.

.

"Sasuke, it seems you are forgetting a very small minor detail" She smiled brightly causing the Uchiha to grimace with disgust at her not really subtle flirting.

Sakura, ignoring the look of betrayal on Naruto's face and the repulsive distaste Sasuke seemed to emit, only continued to over-step her boundaries as she looped both her arms around the teen's neck.

.

With a girlish giggle, the rosette proceeded to roughly shove the boy back to one of the benches.

"The word doesn't revolve around you, prick!" She hissed before turning her attention to the cowering blonde behind her.

"Naruto, since you're not nearly as rude as this one here" She jabbed a finger at Sasuke's direction.

"I'm going to let you off with a warning"

With an audible gulp, the blonde nodded his head as he watched Sakura turn her attention back to the rather furious Sasuke on the hard wooden benches.

"I, for one want to have a peaceful and proper student-teacher relationship with our instructor" the rosette slowly explained as she crouched down to level Sasuke with a snidely concealed frown.

"I have ambitions and I want to achieve them-"

"- and there is no way, I'm letting your macho-pride get in the way"

"-got it?"

.

Sasuke amazingly kept quiet for a full second before sending her one his drop-dead smirks, he slowly stood up and had no trouble towering over her thin frame as he glowered above her; Sakura matched the look with her own cold glare but a single insult from Sasuke had her wired up and ready to attack.

"I'm not taking orders from a third-placer"

The ravenette let out a rather crooked chuckle as he watch the girl fume silently. With a rather graceless shove he had her pushed to the benches as well.

Sakura stared up to him with disbelieving eyes as she slowly went as pink as her hair. She barred her teeth at him as she felt fury like she never felt before run through her veins like a freezing dose of ice cold water. Sasuke only returned the sentiment as he fixed her with a death glare of his own.

.

The tension rose up in the room making Naruto sweat absurdly as he watched the two ticking time bombs get ready to explode; for the first time ever, he isn't really overjoyed that his rival found someone else to hate other than him and it doesn't have to do anything with jealousy.

Thinking fast, Naruto awkwardly scratched the back of his neck as he obnoxiously let out an undignified snort.

"Hey" He stuttered out as he watched Sakura's hand twitch out to close to her kunai holster.

"How about we go apologize to sensei?"

"I mean-" Naruto flailed when he saw the two whip their heads to focus their glares at him, their stares sharp and unforgiving for whatever nonsense he was about to sprout. He did a little dance to lighten up the mood but when it only caused Sasuke to snidely insult that he looked like a buffoon; he decided to bolt outside in a flash.

"See you guys upstairs!"

.

With a huff, he felt the murderous intent rise from the classroom before silence answered back.

Like a calm before a storm, Naruto felt the hairs on his arms raise in alarm.

Looking back for second, he was relieved to see a blur of pink and blue unwillingly following him from behind. There was no evidence of a struggle nor was there any blood stains on any of their clothing.

"Thank god"
