"I legitimately don't know what you're on about Gray." Lucy answered still staring at the piece of paper in front of her.

"Ooooh Lucy's using big words! Mommy I'm scared!" Laughing I later realised the so called 'mommy' I was talking about was a… lamp in front of me…

"Hah that's your mommy?!" Lucy bursted out laughing clutching her stomach. "Oh hey Ms Fullbuster, I'm Lucy Heartfilia former princess of the famous Heartfilia family. Oh did I mention? I'm also Gray's fiance I hope you'll accept me happily!" Lucy mockingly said. Fiance? What did she… Oh was it a joke? Hah...Hah. Lucy was too busy rolling on the floor laughing while I zoned out. Why?

Why do I always get this feeling when she says something like that? Why do I never get angry or annoyed at her? Why do those words feel so close yet so far?

I don't understand. Will I ever understand?

"Helloooo? Gray Fullbuster?" Lucy's voice snapped me out of my trance taking me back to reality. "Welcome back from Wonderland Gray, hope the Mad Hatter didn't rub on you. Anyway as I was saying-"

"I'm going." I suddenly said cutting her off. I got up and headed for the door clutching the door knob in my hand, I was about to swing it open when she spoke again,

"Where are you going Gray?"

"Does that really matter?" I replied with my bangs covering my eyes. "For a best friend you sure do know how to keep secrets." And with that I swung the door open and slammed it.

"Gray you…" Was all I heard before silence entered.

Before I knew it, I was at the guild having my shaved ice like usual. Funny, Natsu didn't bother me today maybe he was scared of me with my gloomy mo-

"OI POPSICLE!"

Too good to be true.

"What the hell man?! What's up with your stupid mood it's affecting all of us!" He exclaimed annoying me like mad. Can't this idiot shut up?

"Don't ignore me you b*st*rd!" I didn't speak, I didn't react, I didn't do anything: that was not normal. "Oi Ice idiot what the hell is wrong with you?" His voice is irritating me so much. Standing up I faced him with dark eyes.

"I don't know. Laters." I was about to walk out when he grabbed my arm annoyingly.

"NO YOU DO KNOW! It actually is affecting all of us! Your girlfriend there is sulking like the world is gonna end; Erza is trying to go on another mission with us; Happy has no one to tease; I'm bored and Lucy is actually thinking of going on a mission by herself! So tell me: WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU 'DON'T KNOW'?"

"By the mission board. Hey you haven't-" I slammed my fist into his face smirking.

"Thanks FlameBrain." I said letting him put on his stupid grin and nodding. Without a single thought I dashed to Lucy…

"Hey Lucy don't you dare go by-"

"Huh? Gray? Oh hey! I'm just picking a mission for Team Natsu: you should see how many jewels we get and all for attending a stupid party!"

"Oh sorry were you saying something?" She asked with confusion in her eyes, smiling I shook my head. Wait did she say party?"Woah wait a party? Hey Lucy you do know that Natsu and I can't dance to save our lives right?" I asked sweat-dropping as she slammed her face into a nearby table.

"Ow Natsu for the love of Mavis will you stop stepping on my feet!" Lucy yelled from across the ballroom.

"Hey these feet are used to kick stupid asses not to tap dance!" Natsu complained idiotically. Heh that serves him right for running of to Lucy and leaving me with...!

"How in the world are you getting tap dancing and BALLROOM dancing mixed up?!" She screamed at him. This has actually turned out to be quite amusing.

"Ahhh Luce don't scream so loud my head's already hurting and Happy told me to go visit a doctor!"

I honestly mentally face-palmed myself.

Headachd Flamebrain. Headache.

"Anyway," he continued "I thought I was less likely to get shouted at if I paired up with you but guess I was wrong!"

"WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!" Me and Lucy shouted... Actually I'm glad I didn't say that out loud...

"It means I'd love to be ice princess right now!"

"No you would not! You idiot don't you see who's my part-" Before I could finish what I was saying I felt an incredibly strong force on my head. Crap.

"Now what were you saying?" The red haired demon beside me asked dangerously.

"N-Nothing a-at all!" I answered desperately. She nodded and we started dancing.

"1 2 3, 1 2- Gray! No it' not 3 2 1!" She yelled as I weakly nodded. Do you know how hard it is to be so scared and shaking and to be dancing with the woman of your nightmares? Not EASY business at all! I could hear Lucy and Flame Breath bickering in the background irritating me like a buzzing noise.

"Ahhh Lovers quarrel eh?" Erza breathed smiling. I don't know why but my grip on Erza's waist seem to tighten and (this sounds so cheesy) my heart seemed to stop for a split second.

"But that doesn't make sense Erza: they're not in love." I reacted.

"Yes that may be however the whole guild is rooting for 'NaLu'" She responded calmly. NaLu? What the hell is up with that?!

"It still could all backfire..." I muttered as a frown was placed. Erza stopped dancing and looked at me as if she was studying.

"G-Gray you're not... You idiot." Her eyes widened for a second there?

"H-Hey what's that supposed to mean?!"

"Who knows..."

2 Hours later... -_-

"THAT IS IT!" Erza and Lucy yelled in unison! They both pointed at me and Natsu sending death glares.

"MY FEET WILL HAVE BRUISES TONIGHT FOR SURE!" Lucy accused Flame Breath terrifyingly.

"AND I CANNOT TAKE CARE OF YOUR PATHETIC DANCING!" Erza boomed sending shivers down my spine.

"WE'RE TAKING A BREAK!" They spat marching off moodily. Me and Natsu instantly fell onto the floor exhausted.

"Hey p... popsicle?" FlameBrain panted.

"Huh?"

"Women are freaking dangerous!"

"Like hell to the mother fudging yeah!" I, for once in my life, agreed.

"Dude how the hell do you deal with a flipping girlfriend?! "

"Dunno bro, dunno." I replied.

Me and Flame Breath decided to head out and buy some drinks. Dancing is too feminine I tell ya, how do those guy in Strictly Fiore Dancing do it?! Natsu thinks he has it bad well I had the freaking devil threatening to kill me all the way through- now that's called scary!

"So Popsicle how are things with Lucy?" The salmand haired guy asked taking a sip of his… hot chocolate?! Typical Natsu I guess…

"Huh?"

"I mean you idiot, had something happened between you two?"

"OI DON'T CALL ME AN IDIOT!"

"Oh right sorry Ice Princess I DIDN'T MEAN IT!" He clearly meant it! The stubborn freaking idiot meant it!

"Like hell you did!"

"Oi! Don't bring hell into this!" He protested as I shot him a confused look.

"Da-hell you on about?!" He didn't answer instead he decided to aim a punch; smirking out fists collided as we tried to push each other back relying on the power of our fists. Just when I was about to kick him a short waitress came in.

"Natsu-sama; Gray-sama- please stop fighting or you will end up destroying the place like last time. That is why if you 'gentlemen' decide to fight I will happily call Erza-san over." She asked with her hand shaking when she showed us Erza's contact card.

"We don't ca-" Knowing what he was about to say I elbowed him in the rib cage.

"Yeah sorry for the disruption but please don't call Erza!" I begged as I tried to contain the pain I felt as Natsu purposely stomped on my foot. The waitress hesitantly nodded and walked away with that I let out a sigh. "FLAMEBRAIN STOP CRUSHING MY FEET! DO YOU WANT ERZA TO COME AND BEAT US UP?!" Just like a loyal dog he shut up, chomping on his Crunchie bar quietly for once in his life.

"Guess me and Lucy are still friends just… I don't get it, I seem to get angry every time she lies to me or talks to certain people. I don't even know why… I've got a girlfriend but things aren't going well." I replied to his previous question truthfully. These "certain people" would mainly be guys… Weird right?

"Bro this is whack like man, you need to get with your homies and chill dawg. Now dat sounds dope ya know what I'm saying bruv!" FlameBrain responded creeping me out.

"Oi FlameBrain are you drunk or did you drink something dodgy?!" I quickly asked shaking him like mad.

"Oi man I was just joking! Anywho I think this is a case of L & F Confusion!" He stated as I raised a brow suspiciously.

"Care to explain retard?"

"Yeah well- OI DON'T CALL ME A RETARD! Back to the point L & F equals love and friendship confusion. Like you said you and your girlfriend are about to break up-"

"I GET THE POINT ALRIGHT THERE ARE OVER A GAZILLION WORDS TO DESCRIBE LUCE! However you are confused as you and Miss Stalker aren't doing well you turn to poor innocent Luce. You are misjudging her kindness for love! YOU MR ICE PRINCESS POPSICLE ARE VERY VERY CONFUSED INDEED!" He accused loudly gaining attention of the customers nearby. I blinked a couple of times before the information sunk in… I never said I was in love with Lucy; I never thought I was but am I? Then again Fire Idiot did just say it's confusion doing its magic…

DID DENSE STUPID ANNOYING NATSU DRAGNEEL JUST MAKE SENSE?

Not believing it I punched his cheek.

I was about to pinch him but he started yelling.

"No." He replied in a monotone voice as we sat there looking like idiots.

"I'm sure Lucy must've done something to ya I mean FlameBreath you just gave me advice it was pretty good actually so…" Trailing off I saw his eyes glint of joy but fear?

"WOW! I DID! Wait… POPSICLE! Lucy has casted a spell on me! I knew her witch costume for halloween was real!" He idiotically assumed. Slapping my forehead I suddenly saw Erza and Lucy coming in. Oh crap.

"Psst retard demon and angel in disguise are coming in!" I whispered to him as he instantly straightened his back and gazed at the window sweating.

"Oh so here you guys are!" Lucy smiled taking a seat beside me and Erza on the other side with Natsu.

"H-Hey L-Luce…" Natsu stuttered weirdly, I honestly wanted to laugh so bad then but I felt a poke on my shoulder: turning around I saw Lucy.

"Hey what's wrong with him?" The blonde whispered pointing at FlameBrain.

"No one knows…" I replied chuckling.

"Okay." Erza interrupted. "So me and Lucy have formed a plan basically I will dance with Natsu and Gray, you will dance with Lucy." I saw Natsu's face turn into fear as he started shaking. Haha FlameBrain I don't feel sorry for you because THAT WAS ME A COUPLE OF HOURS AGO!

"Alright. No pressure."

4 Hours of pain; sweating and shouting, later

Lucy's P.O.V:

"Hey Lucy it's not my fault the guy was eager to partner up with you!" Gray argued. He was laying on my bed half naked as usual complaining over my exaggerated massage. Now don't get me wrong it's not like I'm not still upset over what he did this morning. Damn idiot.

"But how come you acted so normal in front of the rest of Team Natsu?"

"Please..." He trailed off giving me puppy eyes! I hate you Gray! That had to be my weakness!

"I honestly hate how you know I'm a sucker for puppy eyes!" Complaining I chucked a pillow at him. Chuckling he motioned for me to tell him.

"We'll I couldn't cause a fuss in front of the others! As much as I hate you I would still feel pretty bad after Erza killed you so..." I explained as Gray face palmed gloomily. Hah hah hah? I know I'm sometimes mean but to let the guy I love get murdered? No way~

"So you're still upset from this morning?" He asked looking directly at me in a stern expression. Gulping at his seriousness I nodded.

"And you think I'm not?" Huh? Instantly I looked up to see he looked upset himself. Oh Gray… "I get why you're upset, but me? Lucy it's not right to lie especially to me… You never went for a jog did you? Not even some important work. You went to find Juvia right? You went to set it up when Loke suddenly came in." He told me as I sat there in shock. Idiot Idiot Idiot!

"Yeah you caught me… I didn't have enough courage to tell you about it. Pretty weak huh? But it also wasn't very nice to walk out on me clueless like that either." I justified shaking my head. I was worrying so much on what I had done or if he had figured it out that I started crying again.

Ladies and gentlemen here we witness a cry-baby!

"Only if you accept mine." And with that he hugged me; Gray kept me in his warm arms as I wrapped mine around him. At times like this I wish these moments would last forever.

"Hey Lucy?"

"GrayLu."

"Huh?"

"If we were together our ship name would be GrayLu." Damn you Gray for making me blush so mad!

"R-Really? I think it'd be GraLu. You know the same pattern as NaLu." Suddenly for some reason his grip got tighter leaving me confused again. You'd think someone who was jealous would do th-... Is Gray jealous? Oh my Mavis! Wait why am I feeling so excited?!

"Naah. Ours would be different and unique: GrayLu is not like NaLu." He replied confidently.

"Then yours is GruVia right?" I asked weakly but holding on. There's no point in confusing him right. However again, his grip on me got even stronger.
