CH: 3 THE SET-UP
naruto woke up feeling amazing, he felt heavier and worm? He looked down and could only smile as he noticed sakura had moved to his side of the bed, and wrapped her legs and arms around his. He was experiencing a feeling that he could only explain with the word complete, but then, suddenly pain shot up his body. she was squeezing him. she started to yell gibberish. then her eyes shot open and she looked around quickly, before she through herself away from him and onto the floor. she stood and said.
"naruto, you pervert you cant just sneak closer to me! and think i wont notice."
but then she noticed he was on his side of the bed, leaving her to indicate that it was her who moved to his side. her face turned a bright red. then she walked out of the room and into the kitchen. naruto fought the pain and walked out after a few minutes passed to see sakura was cleaning?
"what are you doing?" he asked as he limped over to her.
But she stayed quiet. he reached out to ease her arm but she evaded and turned to face him.
"your house is a mess" she said in a strangely light, scratchy voice.
"so, why are YOU cleaning it?" he responded.
"i just feel bad for yelling at you earlier" she said, she then noticed him continuing to wince in pain.
"go sit down naruto, what are you thinking your not ready to move yet this morning" she yelled.
he was about to tell her that if she hadn't just run out then he'd still be fine, but realizing this would set her off he just did as she instructed.
she followed him to his horrible selection of a spot to get treated, his hard wooden kitchen chair.
he sat and pulled his shirt up and she awkwardly got down on her knees. naruto's face turned the brightest red, before he couldn't hold it in anymore, his smile broke through his self-control. sakura finished then looked up and her face became the vary symbol of anger.
"naruto! you fucking pervert! she raised a hand to strike him right across his one minded face. but when she noticed him bring his hands up to shield the blow, but then watched as his hands went right back down in pain.
"he can't even defend himself right now, i cant hit him." she thought.
she walked down the hall and stopped at the bathroom door,
"im taking a shower, you better get ready too we have to go see tsunade again today." she said with pity.
then she went into the bathroom not expecting an answer from the blond teen.
kakashi and tsunade were in the office talking when there was a knock on the door.
"come in" tsunade called from the otherside.
naruto and sakura entered the room.
"lets talk again later" kakashi said to tsunade.
"right" she answered.
"bye guys," kakashi said with a wave as he passed them and was quickly out the door.
"what were you and kakashi talking about? you guys have been talking more than normal lately." sakura said.
"thats top secret" she said.
"ok well what did you want us here for?" sakura asked
"nothing just wanted to say congrats" she answered in a smile.
sakura staired blankly for a moment before she realized what her master was saying.
"were not dating that was, just to make my mom mad." she said.
"Huh?" naruto asked.
"im sorry naruto, i was gunna tell you i just couldn't find the time" she said feeling bad for her friend.
"no its fine sakura" he informed loosing his natural hyper-ness.
"maby you guys should go now" tsunade said
"ok i have to go to work soon anyway" sakura stated.
"no, sakura, you and naruto's Christmas break can start today" tsunade informed.
"but, what about naruto's treatment?" sakura asked.
"that will still continue" her teacher answered.
"ok" sakura answered looking to naruto, who looked more down then ever.
she then grabbed naruto's hand and left the room. as they were walking down the steps tho they passed kakashi who was going back to the office.
naruto and sakura exchanged glances, before they both went back up to the room they watched kakashi enter then they both put an ear on the door.
"i dont think its working" they heard kakashi say.
"i dont know what else to do with them" tsunade said
"well we cant just make sakura stay at his house forever, hes gunna be better soon." kakashi stated.
"thos bastards" sakura said as she slammed the door open. "you two are setting me and naruto up!?"
sakura looked furious.
"sakura calm down, please" tsunade yelled. "you've had this coming for a long time."
"its not your right!" sakura yelled back.
"i have every right to try and make my two greatest students happy" tsunade continued.
"No you don't" naruto shouted entering the battle.
"fine! sakura you are to go to the hospital for work today, and ill sign another nurse to naruto every morning and evening." tsunade informed.
shock arose on the two teens red faces.
sakura silently walked out.
everyone was confused this wasn't like sakura.
that night sakura wasn't at the hospital, she called in sick. she had been at her house all day in her room. ino has been coming every now and then to knock and see if sakura would let her in, but she never said a word. she just went to bed early and got ready for Christmas tomorrow.
naruto was up most of the night wondering what was wrong with sakura. he grew tired and also went to bed.
he was awoken to a surprise sakura had gotten into his house and made him breakfast, he woke up when sakura opened his bedroom door and said.
"naruto wake up its Christmas!"
"why are you here" he asked confused.
"i was hoping you would still come over for Christmas" she said
"sakura its ok" he said. "you dont have to do that"
"naruto i want to i dont want my friend to be alone on Christmas, so eat your food and get ready to leave" she said.
and soon they were walking down the street surrounded by Christmas cheer, family and friends laughing and joking all around. they soon arrived at sakura's house, her mom gave them both a hug.
"ready to open presents?" her mom asked.
"yea!" sakura answered.
naruto was surprised at how Christmas could turn sakura back into a little girl. he leaned up against the doorway to their living room and watched as she opened her first present. it was a pink hoodie with white fur. naruto observed her as her face lit up and exposed a warming smile.
"thanks mom!" she shouted.
she then proceeded to her second, third and fourth gifts. a pink shirt, a pair of Christmas red, silk pj's and a matching Christmas green undershirt, and finally her last gift of the four was a pack of 'Christmas' underclothes. her face turned red as she realized that naruto just watched her open new sexy underwear. she then remembered naruto.
"do you wanna help me open these next few presents?" she asked.
"sure" he answered feeling suspicious.
he sat down really close to her to insure he could reach the gifts.
"here open this one" she said smiling at her mom.
he did and he pulled out a black-T with a white kanoha symbol on it surrounded by snow flakes. he smiled when he noticed it was for him, he had never really gotten a gift for Christmas, especially from sakura. he looked at her and she smiled back. then he was handed another gift. he quickly tore it open to find, a pair of pj's they were orange with black strings.
"when i was cleaning your house i noticed you didn't have any pajamas so i thought you'd like some." she said.
he didn't say a word. he just leaned in and hugged her tightly, she smiled and hugged him back, until she felt him breathing jumping 'was he crying' she thought.
"thank-you sakura" he said. alittle emotional. "for giving me a real Christmas." he continued.
"you deserve it naruto" she insured.
after naruto calmed down sakura's mom brought out the eggnog.
"ewww, eggnog" sakura said.
"whats that?" naruto asked.
"here try some" mrs. Haruno said handing him a cup.
hours passed, and we find our little pink headed girl getting bored wail naruto is enjoying himself. alittle too much?
"naruto i should take you home now, its getting late" sakura said
"ok sakuraaaaa" naruto stated with a slur in his voice?
"hey 'mom' can i take some of that eggnog home?" naruto asked Mrs. haruno.
"no naruto, you had enough" sakura interrupted as she grabbed his hand and drug him out of the house, into the cold deep Christmas snow. she let his hand go, but the kinetic force from dragging him made him fall forward giving him a face full of snow.
"naruto you need to focus" she yelled feeling bad afterwards.
"i cant sakura, i feel funny i can barely see...im scared." he pleaded
"well you shouldn't have drank so much eggnog." she said.
he just starred blankly.
"it had rum in it..." she continued.
still confused...
"alcohol!" she said getting irritated.
"ohhhh, like granny tsunade?" he asked.
"yesssss." she answered. "lets go" she said as she helped him out of the snow.
the walk was fairly decent with a stumble here.
and just as sakura thought he must be sobering up. he froze, turned and covered the snow in an eggnog colored puke.
"naruto you need something to eat, Now." she said realizing it was now dark and he hadn't eaten sense morning.
they got to naruto's house it was now almost mid-night, sakura was forcing naruto to eat some grain to soak up all that rum in his system along with some water to reduce the density of the alcohol.
"ok naruto you need to get some rest." she said.
she moved the poor boy into his room. and helped him into bed.
"go to sleep, dont stay up late or you'll be sicker." she told him.
just as she was about to leave she heard naruto say something. she opened the door back up.
"wad you say?" she asked
"can you stay with me, im still not doing to well" he said.
"naruto i have to go home" she answered.
"please?" the blond pleaded.
"fine, but you can explain to 'mom' that you needed me her because your scared." she said pulling up some covers.
"mom?" he asked.
sakura yawned. "yea, thats what you called her earlier" she told him.
"oh, i don't remember" he said.
"just go to bed you should feel better in the morning." she said.
and they went to sleep.
