Chapter 4

England awoke believing himself to be going through a nightmare like the one's he suffered during the Blitz. He was being strapped to a chair being rolled down the aisle to wear Germany herself in bride gown and all was waiting for him. 'The joining between the British Empire and Greater Germany will bring peace to the world after such a nasty war' uttered Austria. As rings were exchanged and Germany pecked him on the lips, England panicked and fell back hitting the ground hard. It was this thud that awoke him to Hungary looking over him in clear shock. Suddenly remembering what had just occurred and had been said, he racked his mind trying to figure out the quickest way to retrieve his clothing and escape the house before this went any further. He thought less and less on the idea when he realised he'd have too probably at least get the better of Hungary at the very least and the whole household at the very worst to pull off this Great escape. Releasing this was likely impossible to achieve in a gentlemanly fashion that he'd been trying so hard to maintain, it came in useful in dealing with the Empire and others.

Regaining use of his facilities he looked at Hungary with shock and bewilderment. 'Aaare you sure that's a good idea' he asked 'We've just spent the past 6 years fighting one of the most damaging wars in history and you want us to hook up!?. Never mind what America will say. Russia will have my head considering what occurred between those twos '. Hungary seemed to be surprised he thought perhaps she was joking or testing the waters for some insane scheme. In actual fact Hungary was honestly shocked by the fact England had not shot down the idea immediately instead only giving reasons why others would be against it and not him personally. This in her mind had shown there was a chance however small that this might work.

Helping him to his feet and helping sort out his clothing and sleeping arrangements, she silently left the room to England and his thoughts. Of which he mulled over greatly, logically she had a point with the other two superpowers busy with their own corners of the world and pet projects, someone had to pick up the pieces of Western Europe after he all he'd contributed as much as Germany had to its current condition and it would amuse him to wrangle old Frenchie to be the 'hero' in this story restoring safety and security to Europe but even he admitted he needed help and the British Empire rarely admits that. Germany's current situation however would make it difficult the damage Bomber Command alone would poison almost anything he tried despite all the lessons of love he'd picked up from France over the years. No this would have to come from her he decided any advance from him would either be stopped by her or Prussia who for all his bravado was still very protective of his sibling, a very commendable trait to have.

Thinking nothing more of it England returned to the living room and glanced at Hungary, smiled and nodded before stating that it was late and he deemed it for the benefit of everyone present that his stay had as little impact on the evenings events as possible and turned in for the night. Tomorrow he thought now tomorrow would be a very interesting day indeed.
