I just woke up to a falcon punch to the nose from Frederick's armored fist.

So yeah, my introduction to chapter 1 was fucking awesome...

Now we are running deeper through the woods (which had many more roots), while Robin and Frederick were running like cool anime characters, I was running like that one character that just had woken up and still needed clothes on. So while we ran towards Chrom, Lissa and were Lucina would be, I was getting dressed and has a sore nose. Trust me, getting dressed while running through a rooty forest floor with a brozne sword on your waist is vastly annoying and difficult. I was halfway getting my shirt on when I hear a horse. I see Frederick's horse come barreling towards us at light speed and Frederick just leapt and landed on his horse like he did in warriors.

"So cool! How do you even have that kind of mobility in that armor?" I asked. He looked back at me annoyed.

"Lots of training, now we have to go faster if we wish to catch up to them!" He yelled at me as I finish getting on my shirt. Wow, generic reply. Another shake came. What even causes the ground to rupture anyways? Does the portal do it? Like how Lissa said something about my mana or something so could the portals mana affect the environment? Is Naga time portal thing that strong? There could be so many reasons why but it's making my brain hurt now.

"So, what do you expect to see when we get there?" Robin asked me.

"A fight definitely, and a appearance by Sully and another if this hadn't changed from the game too." I heard Frederick release a Cordelia worthy sigh.

"If Sully is going to be there, Milord won't be even able to focus!" Me and Robin cracked our heads over to him.

"Is he that concerned for her?; Sully and Chrom are lovers, aren't they?" Me and Robin spoke at once. We looked at each other and back to Frederick, who released a Cordelia worthy sigh.

"Yes, it's the latter, but even though I hold great respect for Sully, if she is romantically involved with milord, she is to be protected with my life!" Ok, good speech. I'm sure all the Chombin fangirls are crying right now. But I'm sorta glad since their supports make NO sense. I threw a rock at you, another rock, another rock, marriage. Chrom must really be a blockhead... That's what I'm going to call him now. Better nickname than Blue from Gaius.

After a bit, we saw our first fire. "We are near them. Just trust me." I said and Robin nodded. Frederick glared but made no comment. We did find them, or at least we saw Lissa from the distance. She was as yellow as banana or school bus. Another nickname!

"Lissa! Is Chrom with you?" Robin yelled. Lissa saw us and you could just see the stress ooze off her.

"Robin, Frderick, Trevor we are fine. Though we really need help now!" Chrom came up from a few feet behind her as we stood next to them.

"What happened?" Frederick asked.

"Well I was wondering why the forest was quiet and then a portal opened up and living corpses came out. We were only able to defeat them with the help of a actual person who came out." Lissa then grew starry eyed. Fan girl mode activated for Lissa, run.

"He was so dreamy Frederick! And handsome too!" I resisted the urge to gag that Lissa developed a crush on her niece from the future. A lot of kids from where I was younger would point out a very obvious joke from a state in the United States, and I was tempted to make it her too.

"Well, I assume there is more?" Robin asked. Chrom nodded.

"Robin, do you have a plan?" Wow Chrom, trusting Robin with your life already? Come on, your dating Sully! I was surpised Frederick wasn't trying to.. Oh, he is glaring. Ok.

"Well, we have to hold it down here for now. From Trevor, we know 2 others are supposed to come. When that happens we split off into pairs." She looked at Frederick. "Since you have better combat expertise, you'll go alone." She looked at me. "Any info on the enemy or terrain?" I was surprised she asked me to help with her plan, but I just had to not say Risen and I'm golden.

"Well, there is a mix of enemies. There is archers, solders, I think mercenaries, and fighters. The place is also covered in forest, that hasn't started to burn, so that can provide cover. But there is also I think 3 forts too, so you can use that for cover." I told them.

"Ok, taking that into effect, here is what we will do. We wait here for Sully and whoever she is accompanied with," Chrom was about to but in but was stopped by Robin's hand. "When they arrive, Chrom will go with Sully because their relationship so they have a greater trust than with anyone else. He and she will drive up the left and station themselves at a fort. I'll go with Trevor to a fort in the middle. Frederick, cirlce around the right side. Elimate anyone who gets behind us." God, she is focused! Impressive.

"What about me?" Lissa asked.

"You'll go with the other person. You will stay behind and provide healing when ever you can. The other person will protect you from enemies." I was about to but in that he was a terrible flirt and a archer but well, he has good skill (literally) and could protect Lissa from afar. And if classes truly don't exist, perhaps knows how to use a sword.

"Well, We might want to eliminate the leader too. In every alien or sci-fi movie I watched, if you destroy the leader or brain, all under him will explode. But in this case, the monsters may just cease to exist." They looked confused, probably for the alien and movie part.

"Any idea on what the leader looks like?" Frederick asked. I tried to think if they had any difference to the standard risen. I know their portraits are different but when you fight the standard risen, they have the Frankenstein face. Is their size different? I don't think so.

"Well, I think they will have better weapons than the rest of them. Maybe a size difference." I said with a tad bit of questionability in it. I mean can you judge me? I don't remember a obvious fact.

"Alright. Thank you for the info you were able to provide. Now, we may need a second plan, if one of the parties gets ambushed." Frederick commented and asked.

"Send Trevor. He has no risk of getting hurt." Chrom said. I looked at him like he grew a eye in the middle of his forehead.

"ARE YOU CRAZY? I'M NOT JUST SOME FODDER FOR YOU!" I yelled. "I may be immortal, but come on! I'm not just a sword that runs!" I tried to defend myself and pose that, Hey I'm a human too.

"Alright, we will send you along with Chrom and sully and Ill fall back to Lissa, who can move up to provide support for us." I was happy they weren't sending me to my non-permeant death. Robin brought out her tome and bronze sword and I did the same, we started on the plan. We hung around out current local and attack any risen that cam over.

Let me tell you, WAY worse here than in the actual games. Mainly smell.

Good GOD they did not tell you about the smell that living fucking corpses filled with dark magic. It was like you took spoiled milk, rotten eggs, crap and garbage and mixed it into a bundle, fried it in a sooty and old pizza oven and then multiplied it by 50. The second I caught whiff of it I instantly close off my nose, being VERY happy I had to take care of half of those so my body developed that reflux to close of my nostrils and breath through my mouth. The only good thing is that the smell didn't linger after death, due to them doing the thanos snap and turning to dark dust when killed.

My only complaint after stench was that NONE of us killed them. Frederick put Doctor Robtinik to shame and killed them before we could even turn to see them. So no one actually had the chance to kill these monsters. That didn't actually give me a chance to fight and learn. The only combat I "did" so far was with Frederick, even then it wasn't good since I didn't anything I learned due to my skill level compared to Frdericks. It was like fighting a level 100 pokemon vs a level 1 magikarp with a focus sash.

Then we heard the horse. We turned to see the vulgar knight and the flirty archer coming. Wait, Virion in draped over the back of the horse and Sully looked like the hulk. Something tells me Virion's no-no got critical damaged with the way he groaned. I would laugh but the worse hit to the crotch I got was a basket ball, not a armored foot. So I have no idea how (and if) his child will act like. I can't really guess who since all the children are nut jobs.

I wonder, is one of the children mine? Wait, did I really just think that? come on Trevor, that is just impossible. No way you can get a girlfriend Your asexual.

"OH MY NAGA! SULLY! And uh.. who is this?" Chrom acted like he hasn't seen Sully in like 6 years even though I bet he saw her like.. not even a week ago.

"A damn flirter. I had to kick him in the crotch to stop trying to ask me out, even though I said I already was dating. He was a pain in the arse..."

"Ass you mean?" I said. She looked at me and almost seemed impressed. I guess me and sully are going to have a contest at some point on who can be more vulgar.

"Who are you two?" She asked. Well, I'm a interdimensional traveler with future knowledge and the ability to regenerate! Call me a cheater! Or a loser, degenerate piece of trash, nerd... well that list can go on forever. I go by many names.

"My names Robin and this is Trevor." Robin introduced us which would have ended bad if I had done it. I didn't want to make the scary lobster knight mad. Especially if they are armed with a spear.

"Alright. Fresh meat I assume?" I saw Robin's face become flustered as heck.

"Fresh meat means newbies. Pretty much they will run us into the ground with difficult tasks." I explained. Her face fixed itself to a more calm one but she still had some fluster on her cheeks.

Oh, is that some thing I can pick her on?

"Anyway, is he conscious?" She asked. Virion barley raised his hand to signal he was in fact awake from the sack wack. Robin grimaced from the new news. She has to reformulate her plan to take in the fact our long ranger archer is out of the game. I tried to think of one too.

"Trevor, do you know how these creatures move?" She asked. I nodded, understanding what she meant.

"They are like vultures, uh you guys know what those are right?" I asked. They shook their heads.

"Ok then. They basically are like bullies. They would dare attack, let's say, Frederick over Lissa. They go for whoever they have a higher chance to kill, like someone injured, a long distance fighter or someone who can't fight at all. Out of all of us, Lissa has a higher target. They prioritize getting rid of weaker people before people like Chrom or Sully." I said. Lissa deflated but everyone nodded with worry, expect Sully, who looked hella confused.

"How do you know this?" She asked.

"Same reason why I know your a terrible cook, but a really scary person." I said. She looked at me with a sarcastic glaze.

"Wow, thanks. Ill make sure to make your life hell." She said.

"Frederick basically said that to me earlier." She grew enlightened.

"Sweet. He'll be worse than me." I gulped since I thought the opposite was true with this woman's well, nature.

She reminds me of a tall, female, red Edward. One that wouldn't kill, wait yeah she probably would kill me if I called her short. I mean, she can kill me many times then. How many is up to her.

"Anyway, so now what's our plan?" Lissa asked. I wondered too. What can be a good course of action... I looked around to try and refresh anything we could use to our advantage. The forts are a must so what..

A idea came to me. A awful idea.

"Guys I have a plan but it may greatly backfire so you have to trust me." I said. They looked at me and I explained my plan.

"Are you sure Trevor this is a good idea? You don't have any combat expertise." Lissa asked. I sighed as I held my sword. It felt hella awkward in my hands, even in my right. God I wish I was proficient with my left. Maybe it would feel ok.

"Well, if Sully and Frederick can do it right, we have a large mandarin for success. We just have to believe in them." I said as I paced in front of her. I sure hope this crazy plan works.

"What if one of those monsters comes!? We have no defense against them! Uh, no offense but your not exactly a good fighter." I nodded to that. I was no fierce soul or one that got angered easily, I was usually the pacifist.

"We hope to whatever probability and god there is that this works." I said. Lissa looked down at her patient.

The plan was simple. Abusing the fact that risen love the all you can kill buffet of archers and healers, we took Lissa and Virion to the farthest fort from the leader. They are more likely to come since Virion is also injured. While the come towards us, the others will ride towards the back on each side and kill any Risen they find. Chrom went with Sully and Robin with Frederick. Their main goal was the leader and then we get a signal.

Two shots from Robin thunder tome is success, One is failure. If failure happens, we rush in to attempt a rescue.

All in all, it was a terrible plan where anything can go wrong but it was the only thing we had at the time. I looked up at the smoky night as it spread.

"The real problem is the fire. It may hinder movement and the plan. We have to hope to god that the fort doesn't burn even though it is made of stone.." I mumbled. I sighed. I could be a better help if I even had really anything useful. Heck, being able to use snatch effectively could be useful. Ban can do a hella lot of cool things with snatch. I glanced down at my left hand and just stared at the symbol. Why was it like that? Did all of merlin's tattoo's look like this? No, they couldn't have done that. Maybe I'm like a inferior copy of the real Ban.

"Well, if we are just going to be bait here, why don't we engage in convocation?" Lissa asked. I leapt down from the clouds and looked at her.

"Yeah? What do you want to talk about?" I asked. She looked embarssed.

"I guess you know I don't have a thing Chrom has, did.. did you ever find it or.." She asked. On the outside I looked really confused. But in the inside, my mind instantly went to a joke.

"Look, I don't care what gender you identify with, just be happy with what you are." I smirked as she reddened.

"Eww! I didn't mean that!" She cried. I busted out giggling.

"I know what you meant. I couldn't resist the urge to do that. It's in my nature to do stuff like that!" I said. She fumed.

"Oh, Ill get my revenge." She said. I gave her a serious face.

"Put a frog in my shirt or my clothes and have fun with a person that can understand what Mirel says." I said. She visibly gulped. I sighed.

"Lissa does it really matter that you don't have a mark?" I said. My mind went to Corrin's situation and I thought about the Revelation route and how I would explain to the 2 sides why I choose neither.

"Yeah it does! I don't know if I'm a bastard or even related to Chrom and Emmeryn." I sighed.

"Lissa, I'm a bastard child and the older brother of 4 half siblings. Do you think I cared that I wasn't fully related to them? No. I treated them like family and they did the same. That's all family is. Not blood but how you treat each other. Do Chrom and Emmeryn love you? Would they do unthinkable things for your safety?" I said. Her face lightened up as her gears turned. That reminded me of my own siblings, and their funny quirks. But we all had the same thing.

We were always behind each others back, protecting each other through every hardship.

"Yeah.. they would do that." She mumbled. I smirked.

"So why do you doubt yourself? Do you worry of what other people would think if you weren't related to them?" I asked. She nodded.

"Well stop that. If you don't know them, their opinion doesn't matter. Only people you truly know opinions should matter." I ended with. She nodded with a small smile.

Then her face became horrified.

"How many are behind me?" I asked as I tightened my hand on my blade.

"4.." She began to drag Virion away as I turned to see 4 Risen. A archer, 2 fighters and a merc. I pulled my blade up in a manner that tried to look intimidating but if I can't scare a high schooler, who could I scare a mindless, emotionless zombie?

I looked at their weapons as they stared at me with well, a look like Meliodas in berserk mode. The 2 fighters had no throwing axes, so they can't space me out or get the two behind me.

The archer, however would be a problem.

So that was the first risen on my list that I had to get rid of, since we had no way that we could contact the riders for assistance. I gulped and hoped I could protect them.

Marth.. I pray to gods you help us somehow..

"Well, 4 against one? Not favorable odds gentlemen. Ill go easy on you." I joked. The risen didn't even laugh at the shitty joke. The archer pulled out a arrow and notched it.

Ok, time to go!
