Shock's p.o.v
Amy: Hi Mia. Just wanted to ask if you was interested in going on a shopping and cinema trip to the nearest mall?
- 23 minutes later -
Mia: Sure. I would like to:) How far is it? Just asking.
Amy: About 20 miles away. Don't worry about Emma. She's sleeping over at a friend.
Mia: Alright. When should I come to you? We are still not done with our house.
Amy: Let's say 16:30. I don't expect any of us to be that shopcrazy.
Mia: No haha XD
"Can I get my phone back?" asked Barrel in a impatient tone. He was the only one who had a phone. I found them to be a waste of time looking at all these people who looked at them like zombies. There were better things to do.
- Saturday 16:30 -
"Exactly on time." said Amy as if she was used to it. She wore a white crop t-shirt, black and white pinstripped skirt and a black choker.
I wore a black turtleneck t-shirt and purple jeans. I had my hair in a ponytail even though it still loked messy.
"Do you sew your own clothes? I notice you wear the same clothes and similiar patterns," said I while we were driving in her parents' car in the middle of nowhere to the mall in the nearest city.
"I'm self-taught. I would feel naked if I wore clothes like the others," said Amy.
I gasped when we arrived at the mall. It was the biggest building I had ever seen.
"How many shop are there?" I asked.
"92. That's not quite a lot," answered Amy as if she was assuming that I wasn't from the big city.
Damn, it was big. 3 stories high with shops on the 1st floor, restaurants at 2nd and a cinema on the 3rd.
We started by trying clothes in a few shops. "How do I look? Do you think I could use it as a costume?" asked Amy wearing a short, strapless dress.
"You look beautiful in it. What are you going to be to the Halloween prom?"
"Some kind of Halloween spirited princess. Aren't you going to try some dresses? I bet you'll look glamorous in a dress."
It was actually weird that I never wore dresses in the Human world. I hesitated, looked around, found a purple dress with straps and tried it on.
"You look so gorgeous! Morticia in purple!" said Amy in a nice, but exaggerated way. I looked at my myself in the mirror. I had worn better dresses than this, but it looked okay and luckily it fit 6'1 me, which made me think that I used to hate that I was tall for my age, but it became an advantage when showing who was the oldest and wisest of Oogie's boys. If only Barrel wasn't taller than me now...

- saturday night 20:04 -
It was a satisfying moment when me and Mia were on our way home. Our new dresses in bags laying on the back seats, Mia drinking a milkshake and Ghost Town playing on the radio, when I suddenly got a phone call and I had to stop the car, lower the volume and take the phone.
"Amy, I have something very unfortunate to tell you." It was clear that it hurt in her throat.
"A car accident happended... Mom and dad lost their lives,". I could her cry from the phone.
"What will happen to us?" asked Emma.
"We are going to live in an orphanage, since nobody in our family wants to raise us," answered I in a calm tone. I had always known that I was "adopted" which was 1 of the reasons why Emma got more love from her parents, but they were the only good people in my adoptive family who liked me and had given me love and support.
Amy and Emma moved to the orphanage. Shock often visited the orphanage, but she never answered the question about, if Amy could visit Shock's house and ignored it by talking about something random. The days went fast and the evening for the Halloween prom had finally come.
Amy's p.o.v
I looked at the mirror dressed in my self-made Halloween dress. It was the black dress with sewn black laces and a orange ribbon at my waist. I also wore a black choker with a pumpkin in the middle, black gloves that reached my wrists with matching laces, a black headband, black socks and orange ballerina shoes.
I said goodbye to Emma, who was dressed up as an angel to the orphanage's Halloween party, and went out
On my way I met Mia and Alex.
Mia was wearing the purple dress, a leather jacket, black fingler-less gloves, a black witch hat and a black choker with a purple crystal in the middle.
Alex was wearing a red suit with a red vest and yellow neck-tie.
"Are you two a couple?" asked I giggling.
"Nah, he's just a very good long time friend. Birds of a feather you could say," said Mia and gave Alex the death stare. "And I hate to walk alone at night that's why he's following me to the school."
At the prom
Everybody was dancing, while I sat alone and drank a cola and ate chips and was waiting for Mia who had gone out to get some fresh air to feel better. A quite handsome boy with light brown hair, who wasn't dressed up as anything, came to me and asked me if I wanted to dance with him which I said yes to. His way of dancing made me look like a loser. He danced like a professional dancer from the 19th century.
"What's your name?" I asked. He looked like he could be a senior, but I had never seen him before.
"James," he simply said in a calm tone.
"And your last name?," I asked and looked over my shoulder and saw Victor, who wasn't dressed up, dancing awkwardly with Sandra (her poor toes) .
"It's not important. You're in great dan-"
"Hey, Amy!" interrupted Mia.
"Would you mind going outside with me?" she asked.
"Yes, she would," said James and held me tighter with a serious look.
"Don't make me do it," warned Mia and took a wand from jacket pocket. When she lifted it and said spoke in nonsense, the light suddenly went out and I could hear a storm approacing which made everyone around us besides Victor run out of gym hall and down to the cellar.
"Why are you doing this, Mia?" I asked, feeling betrayed to the one I thought was my friend who was now flying 10 meters from the ground with a broom.
"My name is not Mia!" she shouted with a powerful voice and transformed. Her skin turned green and her eyes pink. "Lock and Barrel, you fools! Do it while I can't!"
I heard James shouting of pain and letting go of me. "Trick or treat," said "Dylan" grinning now with pale grey skin and green hair and with an axe that he had hit James' right arm with.
I was so much in shock that I didn't realize that I was about to get hit by a spell.
Victor's p.o.v
I knew I had to do something, so I grabbed her and led her outside as quick as we could. The storm suddenly dissapeared when we entered the forest that was close to the school. We also found a blue portal that shone so brightly, that we could see in the dark. I was about to curiously touch it, when I heard a earthquake-like stamping. Shit...
"Where do you think you're going?" asked "Mia" with her powerful, but familiar voice while flying in the air with her broom, as a living tree with a scary face, long arms and legs were approaching us. The one in the middle was about to crush us with it's hand when we suddenly both were pushed by someone.
"I should had known better," said the blonde women, a bit older than us, who apparantly had saved us. She had James, who had already healed, with her.
"Attack them you fools! My powers don't allow me to do 2 things at the same time!" shouted "Mia" at "Dylan" and "Alex" who now had pale skin, yellow eyes, sharp teeth and a tail. He also had a black triden as his weapon.
I had to run to avoid being crushed by the tree, while James was fighting with "Alex" and the girl with "Dylan" who wasn't a good fighter despite having a deadly weapon.
Author's p.o.v
"Trick or treat," said Shock in a playful way. Amy was so much in shock that she didn't notice the spell before it was too late and everything went black. "Finally" Shock thought and flew down to the ground. The monster tree turned into a normal tree since Shock's power had required a lot of concentration and energy.
"You dare to lay a hand on her!" shouted Victor. "You," said Shock tired, but angrily and casted a spell that made him still like a statue. She fell on her knees, unable to do anything than to look...
Time was running out. "Barrel, led me to the portal. I'm too weak to stand. Lock, take the boy with us. We don't have much time," shouted Shock with all that power she had left.
So they threw their weapons at their enemies which was enough to distract them (the girl got the axe at her stomach and James got the trident at his right arm), kidnapped the frozen Victor and hurried to the portal that dissapeared right after they entered it and it went dark and quiet again.
