*Akira's POV*

I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Waking up with a start, I looked at the clock on my bedside table…midnight. A nightmare had come to me, now I couldn't get back to sleep.

'My dad, he was doing a special jutsu,' I thought sitting up panting 'I wonder if I can also do that jutsu.'

I got out of bed and dressed, I put my new swords on my back and my ANBU mask on my head. I decided to go to the forest and try the jutsu that I saw my father do in my dream. I jumped out the window to the next roof top, turning I noticed that Deidara wasn't on the roof of my house. I wondered how much longer I had before he returned. I shrugged it off and continued to the forest, I had a determined thought process that I was going to see through.

*Itachi's POV*

"Itachi, Kisame go to the village and try to collect the kyuubi," Pein ordered "Deidara go back to the village and drag Akira back, do whatever's necessary. I don't know why you agreed to letting her go in the first place."

Kisame and Deidara and I left immediately for Konoha village. Deidara was humming to pass the time and it was starting to get on my nerves.

"Deidara go on ahead," I told him in my usual cold voice "We'll be there in the morning."

He nodded and left on his clay bird. I could sense Akira and knew he wouldn't be able to find her before we arrived.

"Why did you let the kid go?" Kisame asked.

"He won't be able to find Akira," I smirked "I know that she's not at her house right now."

Kisame smiled "He's going to go crazy when he can't find her."

*Akira's POV*

I arrived at the forest and sat down. I pulled out a kunai knife cutting symbols for fire, water, wind, earth, lightning, wood and rock on my right arm. On my right hand the symbol for night and the symbol for day on my left hand.

"My eyes see darkness and show me evil," I chanted while cutting a crescent moon on my eyelids "My lips are filled with poison to distract my enemies thoughts," I bit my right thumb and placed the blood on my lips "My tongue will taste blood, nourishment for the soul," my hands did some hand signs then I placed them on the ground in front of me, a glow engulfed me "Power seeking jutsu activate!"

I felt a rush of power surge through my body, the cuts I made were burning then suddenly everything went black. I woke up surrounded by fog; slowly I stood up then left the forest to go home. I snuck back into my house through my bedroom window, changed my outfit then put on both the choker and necklace that I received yesterday. I filled up my weapons supplies and walked back to the window to close it. I was about to go out for a snack when I felt Itachi's presence in the village.

"Itachi," I hissed jumping out to find him.

I found Kakashi standing outside a sweet shack reading his book. I landed in front of him; he put his book down when I noticed Itachi and Kisame in the sweet shack.

"Kakashi, what are you doing?" I ask referring to him just standing there when Akatsuki members were behind him.

"I'm waiting for Sasuke," he replied, I saw Itachi flinch "What did you do to your eyes and arm?" he asked grabbing my right arm and examining it.

"Nothing," I lied pulling my arm back and placing my ANBU mask on.

"Are you going back on that mission today?" Kakashi went back to his book.

"Yes, can you cover for me while I'm gone?" he nodded; I noticed that Itachi and Kisame left already "I got to go, bye Kakashi."

I also disappeared trying to find Itachi, I sensed him at the river. I arrived just in time, Kisame was about to attack Asuma with his sword. In a split second I was standing in front of Asuma with Kisame's sword in my right hand.

"Asuma, Kurenai, are you two okay?" I asked turning towards them.

"Yes," they replied relieved.

"Thank you captain that was a magnificent catch," Asuma complimented.

"You two go back to the village," I turned back to Kisame "Fire blast!"

The fire symbol glowed as a fire ball came out of my right hand sending Kisame stumbling backwards. Kurenai and Asuma stared in amazement. I bit back the pain of the symbol.

"But captain…" Kurenai started.

"Go!" I yelled "Or do you want to die in the cross fire?"

When they were out of sight and hearing range Kisame stood back up "You little bit..."

"Don't you dare finish that sentence," I cut him off removing my mask.

"Akira!?" Kisame's mouth dropped.

"You're part of ANBU?" Itachi asked.

"No," I put my mask back on "I'm captain of the ANBU. Now, what are you doing here?"

"You're better than Itachi," Kisame chuckled "We're here for the Jinchuuriki."

"He's with Jiraiya, off training somewhere," I explained "You two better get out of here before more ANBU show up."

"Itachi! Kisame!" Deidara showed up jumping off his clay bird "I couldn't find Akira anywhere."

"That's okay Deidara," Itachi told him then turning to me "Are you coming, captain of ANBU," he teased.

I nodded and lead the way to the exit. Deidara kept asking Itachi questions like "Who is this?" and "Why is she coming with us?" His questions were non-stop and none of them were getting answered.

"Are you going to tell him?" Kisame asked coming up beside me.

"No," I whispered loud enough so only Kisame could hear "He'll find out later, when we reach the hideout. Besides it is fun watching him squirm."

"Deidara would you shut up!" Kisame snapped amused by my answer "You'll get your answers when we reach the hideout."

This shut him up, but we caught up with trouble at the main gate, or so I thought. Kakashi and Sasuke were there, preparing to leave for a special training session I assumed.

"Captain," Kakashi waved to me from the main gate along with Sasuke "I see you're taking some ANBU with you on your mission," I stopped for a second, Kakashi leaned in and whispered in my ear "Be very careful," he leaned back up putting a hand on Sasuke's shoulder "I'll be training Sasuke to his fullest potential."

"Train hard Sasuke, Kakashi's a great teacher, you'll be the best in no time," I pushed the mask away just enough to kiss his forehead "Let's go guys we have to get to our destination soon."

I grabbed Itachi's arm and pulled him toward the Akatsuki hideout with Deidara and Kisame close behind. We didn't need the Uchiha brother's to start fighting right in front of the village.
