All seemed normal in Angel Grove; a beautiful day people all in cheery moods, but it all was a façade. Five evil beings had crash landed onto Earth with one main objective; destroy the Astro Rangers. Despite the shared objective each of these beings, each had their own thoughts about how they should decimate the Power Rangers. Based on the psche profiles that Demios had taken of the Rangers, and each of this new set of evil Rangers had their own personal vendetta against the one it was programmed to. Dark Spector did have the forethought to make sure there was a hierarchy to make sure that they followed his command above all. When these monsters were created they were installed with the names of the Psycho Rangers. The one dubbed Psycho Red stopped the other's walking.
"We have our objective," he said in a stoic voice.
"I say we just destroy things until they show up," Pyscho Blue said to the appointed leader.
"Are you stupid?" Psycho Pink questioned sarcastically, "That will just bring humans to us; we don't want to be revealed right away do we?"
"Shut up Pinky," the evil blue creature responded.
"She's right," The Yellow one piped up, "We need another plan of action," she groused.
Psychos Black and Purple had remained silent throughout the exchange of arguing rangers. "The Rangers are weak right now, vulnerable," Psycho Purple piped up, "We are all going with instincts and first gut reactions. Studying from what our former and fashion challenged master wrote down about the Rangers, they have so many open things we can focus on. But to make things better…" she paused, "We need more information from them on a personal level,"
"Well they are out of school…no longer just pesky children," Psycho Black responded, "Can't just blend in with students anymore," he pointed out.
"Then we shall have to make them come to us," Psycho Red pointed out, and ran a hand over himself and was disguised as the Red Astro Ranger. Each of the Psycho's did the same, "We attack the innocent people, and that will make them come to us,"
"That's what I was saying-," Psycho Blue growled.
"And then we take more information from them," The red one growled, "We cannot afford to make the same mistakes as our predecessors," The other monsters seemed okay with this idea for now, but it was going to be only a short amount of time before they started quarreling amongst themselves once more.
Surf Spot
TJ had finally managed to get all of the Rangers in one spot for the first time since their experience at the school. They had been doing alright with the sporadic monster that appeared, but their friendships were shaky at best to no fault of their own. Before the other Rangers showed up it was only Carlos and TJ. It was awkward for a moment, "How's it been going?" TJ asked. Before the black Ranger could respond, Adele appeared.
"Hello boys," she said with a big smile. "What are you two up to?"
"Waiting for everyone else to show up," Carlos responded.
"How about we get some food in you both," she declared, "Looks like you haven't eaten in days," she didn't wait for a response she just hustled back towards the kitchen. Carlos chuckled lightly and then turned to his friend.
"Things…have been ok," Carlos replied to his friend's question.
"Really?" TJ pressed, not entirely believing him, "Cause things have been weird ever since that day," He leaned against the bar and let out a low sigh. "I know things were bad in there, but we got through it….just want things to get back to normal,"
"We'll be ok if a monster appears-," Carlos started.
"I'm not just talking about that," TJ sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. "But before we became what we are…we were all friends. I miss that," Carlos frowned lightly; it wasn't just things between the two males but with all the Rangers.
"I miss it too," he admitted, relaxing slightly. They weren't ever going to be forced to fight each other again if he could help it. "So this why you are getting everyone together again to try and return a sense of normalcy,"
"Yeah…it'll be nice not to worry about things and just be normal for a while,"
Meanwhile Ashley was walking towards the Surf Spot, she found Cassie waiting outside. "Hey Cassie," she said with a grin, and pulled her friend into a quick hug.
"Hey," she said, forcing a smile.
"Ok you, what's going on?" Ashley pressed, looking at her friend's exhausted face.
"I…" she knew that she should just open up, "I haven't been sleeping. It just feels like I re-live that day over and over," she sighed, "Can't imagine going through that all those years like Andros did," admitted empathetically. "And I guess I was scared bringing it up cause of what everyone else went through,"
"Even Carlos?" Ashley questioned, touching her friend's shoulder lightly.
"He and TJ were forced to fight each other…that is worse than just faceless enemies coming after me one after another,"
"Talk with him…talk with us," she pleaded, "We will make things better," Cassie just nodded her head, and decided to take her advice in a bit.
Meanwhile up in space, Karone and Zhane were heading towards the teleportation area, and met up with Andros who was heading the same way. Karone's hands tightened around her boyfriends as they approached closer to her brother. "Hey," Zhane said lightly to his friend.
"Hey guys," he replied shortly, not sure how his sister was going to react to him there. Karone found herself relaxing against her boyfriend, and then she flashed Andros a small smile.
"Hi," she replied finally.
"Got the message from TJ as well huh?" Zhane questioned, squeezing Karone's hand lightly, proud that she was finally making some progress.
"Yeah…seems like a good thought," his mind was still on all the things he had done and what Dark Spector could be doing with all of the information he had. Hell he had stuff dating back to when Karone and Zhane first became rangers.
"You alright?" Zhane asked, and Andros just nodded his head. Now was not the time to think about the past, it was just to focus on the present. They jumped into the teleporter and appeared in front of the Surf Shack to meet their friends. By the time they got there, it seemed like the other rangers were in good spirits.
"Come on over guys!" TJ called out. The joined their friends and for the first time in what felt like forever it was felt like it was normal. Before they could really settle someone turned the volume higher on the tv.
"Look y'all the Power Rangers showed up to help someone!" Adele said, and the Astro Rangers looked up surprise written on their faces. They looked towards the tv and indeed what appeared to be them was on the screen. Just as it looked like they were about to help whomever was in the building, they started attacking the news crew. The Rangers threw some cash on the table and ran out to a deserted area.
"Let's rocket!" Zhane called out, and in an instant they went from normal young adults to the Power Rangers. By the time they arrived on the scene they were met with their counterparts. Unfortunately for them, the cops had arrived.
"Rangers stop!" one of the officers called from their megaphones.
"Get out of here!" Zhane yelled to the cops, but they didn't listen and began to open fire. The actual Rangers dove out of the way, but the faux rangers began to attack the cops, destroying a few cop cars at the same time.
The team sprung into action; Karone, Zhane, and Andros went after the fake rangers, while Cassie, Carlos, and TJ started to help the civilians. Ashley jumped in towards Andros and found that even though that the rangers were coming towards them, it appeared that they were only after their counterparts as the Yellow Ranger jumped onto her. "Ashley!" Andros called out, going after her.
TJ was helping one of the cops to their feet when the Blue ranger kicked him from behind. "TJ!" Carlos shouted, and sprung into action, heading the crazy thing head on.
Cassie still seemed frozen in space every time her counterpart attacked. "Come on don't be such a wimp!" she taunted as she got out a deadly looking bow. That snapped her out of her daze and she got out her weapon as well. "Not really worth taking," as she suddenly faded out.
"What the-," and she felt pain as she felt multiple somethings hit her back. She was thrown forward and she landed harshly on the ground knocking the wind out of her. Before she knew it, the evil counterpart placed a hand on her head and it felt like something was leeching onto her mind.
"CASSIE!" Carlos roared as he saw his girlfriend being under attack.
"I got it, go!" TJ demanded as he managed to land a blow on him. Carlos ran after the Pink Ranger, and got his weapon out at the ready.
The rest of the team wasn't doing much better; but the one thing that Andros noticed that there wasn't a silver ranger for him to fight while the others had someone to fight. The fighting styles were all what he had noticed from when he was Demios, and then a sudden sinking feeling hit his gut. Dark Spector had found his plans and was implanting the Psycho Rangers.
"Don't let them put their hands on your head!" He demanded suddenly, but the warnings came altogether too late. The Psycho Rangers had managed to absorb their memories, skill sets….and suddenly they just disappeared.
"What the hell was that?" Karone demanded, as she was helped to her feet, and then looked at Andros. Even with the mask on, he could tell that she had an inquisitive glance towards him.
"We have a lot to talk about," Andros said with a deep frown.
