A/N: so its been two years. I've actually gotten a couple of requests to write more of this (I'm truly shocked) but here it is, I don't intend on making too many more chapters but I do want to finish it I'm thinking maybe two more chapters? anyway thanks for the support and I hope you enjoy. Its 4:45 a.m. As I'm writing this so hopefully it isn't awful.
*Christina's Apartment, Tris' POV*
"Would you please stop squirming? Like it isn't hard enough trying to make sure you look decent." Chris keeps trying to apply mascara to my eyelashes and I can't help but blink, the woman is dangerous with an stick this close to my eye. She finally finishes and I'm allowed to look in the mirror. Wow. I don't recognize myself at all. I know theres barely any makeup on, just some blush, lipgloss, and mascara, but the soft, elegant curls Cris transformed my straight hair into, and the little black dress. Its a combination of everything but I feel like someone else and there's a strange sense or bravery in my chest. I crush Cris in a bear hug,
"Thank you for convincing me to get the dress and helping with everything else" I gush.
"It's my pleasure Tris, thats what friends are for. Now C'mon put on your shoes and go, you don't wanna leave for waiting," she winks at me and I can feel my face heat up. "Oh stop Tris, I thought you weren't a stiff anymore." she giggles and nudges me, and I can't help but chuckle, I hug and thank Chris one last time before I slip on some ballet flats and grab my shawl, I can't ignore the feeling that I'm forgetting something but I shake it off, then I'm out the door and on my way to Four's. I try to steady my breathing and calm down. It's just four, I don't know why I'm acting like this but I know I need to get it under control. At this point I'm a few apartments away from Four's and I'm still nervous. Crap. Crap crap crap crap. I knew I was forgetting something. How on earth am I supposed to spend the night when I have nothing to wear to bed, or tomorrow, at my first day on my job. Crap. I guess I'll have to figure it out. Tobias opens the front door as soon as I step in front of it. Was he waiting for me?
"Hello Ms. Dauntless, welcome to my humble abode." I thanks hime and he steps to the side so I can walk in.
"You look beautiful Tris, is that, Are you wearing makeup?"
"Yeah I am, Christina finally got her wicked way," We both laugh at that and I already feel more relaxed. "Four?"
"Yeah?"
"Don't laugh but I forgot to bring any of my stuff." He chuckles and smiles at me, which makes my heart flutter a little.
"It's not a problem, after we eat we can go get it, together, and then come back here and relax a little." I smile softly, "Thanks, I honestly felt like an idiot when I remembered I didn't bring anything. Have I told you I love you? Because I do."
"I love you too, Tris." He kisses my forehead before pulling me into the kitchen/dining room for dinner.
Okay so I haven't written in a while and it's very late where I am, but I hope you guys enjoy it, honestly there isn't much left and I'll try to finish this week, it'll most likely just fizzle out with no real climax. I might start something else soon so if you wanna send any ideas, I've nothing but open ears.
